I love Yanagi it's easily one of my go-to sushi spots. The staff is always so nice and welcoming, if you come here often enough they'll even remember your order. The raw sushi is really fresh and super good, and everything we ordered was delicious. The spicy yellowtail and tuna avocado rolls were so good, and the shrimp tempura had a nice crunch without being too heavy. Portions are solid for the price too and ordering online for pickup is super easy and quick. This place has officially become our go to sushi spot in Rogers. Great quality, super affordable, and just all around great. We're both vegetarians, so sushi can be hit or miss. Usually it's just cucumber rolls and maybe avocado if you're lucky. But this place has so many good veggie options. Everything we've tried has been fresh and flavorful. Our favorite is definitely the sweet potato roll. It's warm, crispy, and just insanely good. We also love the AAC roll (avocado, asparagus, cucumber), and there's one with avocado and peanuts that sounds kind of weird at first but is actually amazing. The combo totally works. We even get the Philadelphia roll with no salmon, and it's still super tasty. The staff are always friendly and super accommodating. They're happy to customize rolls however you want, which makes a huge difference for us as vegetarians. It's just easy and relaxed. The space itself is also really nice. Open, bright, and clean. It has a fresh, modern feel without being too fancy. Just a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a good meal. Highly recommend if you're in the area. Or even if you're not, honestly. This is my son and my FAVORITE place to get sushi rolls and calamari! So yummy!! My only suggestion, don't order the sushi for two expecting sushi ROLLS, we got 18 pieces of nigiri which is NOT stated in the menu as it's "chef's choice". We felt very disappointed and it was really anti climactic, it felt very low effort. That is our LEAST favorite form of sushi and we would not have ordered had we known that would be the "chef's choice". Definitely won't order it again. We could barely choke a few pieces down and gave the rest away. We like to try new things and a few pieces (mb 2 each) of that would have been cool but a whole tray of just that was far too much. We anticipated more variety and definitely more maki and uramaki over nigiri, even some temaki would have been nice to try! We will return as we LOVE their rolls they are SO fresh and yummy, the atmosphere is so positive, and we always have good kind service. All in all the place is a 10/10. The service is very attentive and friendly. The food was similarly fantastic. While I wouldn't quite rank this as TOP tier sushi, it's just a hair behind that - and again, given the lack of anything close in the area for this level of quality, it's well worth a visit. We LOVED the Triple A Roll, as well as the Monkey Ball. We didn't have the same level of appreciation for the James Bond Roll, but even that was about average and the only one we might not order again. It's very welcoming and friendly. Our customer service was also excellent. I couldn't have asked for anything better. We went with hot green tea, bacon wrapped chicken skewers (appetizer), and 4 styles of sushi rolls. Everything was fresh and flavorful. LOW CARBOHYDRATE: It's actually pretty simple (and tasty) to eat low-carb, keto style at Yanagi. You're definitely good if you stick to the lower carb sushi roll options and sashimi. Of course, you'll also be good it you go for items like miso soup, chicken skewers, seafood, etc. I avoid high starch items like noodles, giant rice portions, deep fried breaded stuff (they use soybean oil in their fryers), and any sauces that are likely to contain added sugar & vegetable seed oils. What a gem! We typically drive to maple grove for sushi and hibachi, but I got a coupon supporting the Rogers High school woman's soccer so thought "hey let's give it a go". It was awesome. The sushi is fresh and they don't load the rolls with more rice to skimp on the fish. The hibachi was excellent and we really enjoyed the happy hour prices. For sushi we had Salmon, Tuna, and Yellowtail nigiri(all excellent), Godzilla roll( very good), Amigo roll (good), Spicy tuna roll(decent), Spicy scallop roll(meh-bland), Best of the best roll(meh) and California roll(ok). My official new hang out spot. Food is absolutely fresh and delicious. Everything in their menu has good variety and selection with affordable pricing. The environment is very calm and friendly and this is a perfect place to take someone out on a date, casual sushi eats during the weekday and a nice, quiet place to study and relax while enjoying the fine dining they have to offer. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful alongside their line cooks too. Very respectful people. Tried for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at the quality for how far outside the cities Rogers is. Tried a few apps, steak pan fried noodles, some sushi, specialty rolls, and tempura ice cream for dessert. The ice cream was a let down, but everything else was pretty good.
