The crew at Yanez was friendly and hardworking, and Chris, the crew chief was an excellent communicator. He spent a lot of time talking with me to be sure he understood exactly what I wanted done, giving recommendations on what branches to remove to best protect the health of the trees, and overall just making sure I was satisfied with everything they did. Alex Yanez and his team were extremely professional and efficient in removing a tree, grinding the stump, trimming a large overgrown cherry tree, a large overgrown maple, and taking down a huge wild cherry. They took care in making sure that the trees would be able to grow healthily, trimmed away branches that led to sagging or damage, and gave advice on suggestions for future tree growth. Most impressive was the level of efficiency, I was doing some paperwork for a few hours and by the time I was done they had completed all of the the work; without the woodchipper I don't even think my neighbors would've noticed they were here. I agree with the other reviews that this company was very reasonably priced, after receiving multiple quotes. The entire crew did an outstanding job with the tree cutting service. They came with a large team, were extremely professional, very efficient, and friendly. They were very flexible and adaptable, allowing for additional and unexpected work to be completed on the fly per our request. They cleaned up the yard quickly and left everything looking much more beautiful and clean than they found it. But where this company truly excels is with their phenomenal interpersonal skills. I had an unfortunate conflict with a neighbor who did not want the tree to be trimmed as planned. Christian very professionally mediated the conversation throughout the day between us and our neighbor, enabling us to accomplish our goals of both trimming the tree and maintaining the balance and health of the tree. Our Bradford pear tree split in half in our windstorm just before 5pm today (a Friday.) I called 6 places and Couldn't find anyone to come out and help, despite the fact that a section of the tree was blocking half the street and it's branches were on my neighbors car. In desperation, I called Yanez. We're in Sterling, Virginia so I knew calling a Rockville business was unlikely but I needed help urgently. The guys at Yanez could not have been kinder. So understanding, they drove 90 minutes out of their way to come help us. They got to work immediately and carefully removed the pieces of the tree that were resting on our neighbors car to avoid further damage. They made me feel like a member of their family. Recently we had services from Yanez crews, including removal of two big trees and 2 dead trees, all of which are in backyard and close to our and neighbor's properties. I'm happy to recommend this business. Alex brought his entire crew of about 10 people to remove 3 large trees from my yard on a Saturday. Because of my fence, they had to use hand carts to remove the logs, and it was a lot of work. All the workers were extremely professional. I watched the trees come down and it was very interesting to see how they worked together to ensure everything was done efficiently and safely. I had a horrible experience with Yanez. My neighbor hired them to do some tree work, and I agreed to let them remove one lower branch on my white oak tree that was near his roof. Without asking me and without my permission, they removed every single lower branch on my tree, about 6 or 7 perfectly healthy branches. They left me with just a trunk to look at unless I look way up. When I asked their crew leader why he removed all those branches without my permission, he said he thought he was "doing me a favor." How is removing all those beautiful, healthy branches on my tree, leaving me with a trunk, doing me a favor? I used to love looking at that tree; now I can't stand to look at it after what Yanez did to it. If you care about your trees, don't let Yanez near them. read more

I cannot recommend Yanez Tree Experts enough. Theirs is a friendly, highly skilled family business that removed our quite old, tall pin oak, estimated to be at least 85-90 years old. It was far from an easy job. They were punctual, came with the right equipment, and worked very hard and efficiently. The tree was close to our house and slanted toward the house which required dropping the long, high branches and the thick tall trunk very carefully. It was a thing of beauty and art to see them doing this so well. At the end they completely cleaned up, loading the trucks and over-worked chipper, and leaving virtually nothing behind.
