Hidden gem. Small out of the way cafe. Don't BLINK or you past it. Good food and service at a fair price. Best chili cheese omlett around.

I was traveling through Hemet on family business. My husband, mom and I decided to find a local place that serves breakfast. We came across this place J & J's Cafe. Upon arrival the outside appearance made me think twice but once entering it had the warm feeling. Once inside, Sandy the waitress from across the room greeted us with a warm tone and a smile. She was the only waitress handling every table and approximately (20) people with such professionalism and impeccable timing. You didn't have to wait for anything. She never skipped a beat. No one would have known that she was the only waitress at this time. Every patron had a smile on their face and they just kept coming. The food was delicious but what made it stand out from all the other restaurants/cafe's was it's small town feel and a extraordinary waitress named Sandy. My family are foodies especially when it comes to breakfast. We are always trying to find that hidden gem for breakfast. read more

Took a trip to this place based on Yelp reviews. Thoroughly agree with the reviews. Great food items that you would not normally see at other restaurants. Great place for breakfast. Highly recommend. The chorizo omelet - OMG, seriously delicious. Stuffed with jack cheese and smothered in spicy chorizo, then topped with fresh avocado - I have found my new favorite breakfast. Home fries very good with grilled onions and peppers. Pancakes were light and fluffy. Husband had the Delux Breakfast with eggs, bacon, breakfast sausage, polish sausage and ham - wow, a lotta food - plus home fries and toast- said it was all yummy. Loved the freshly brewed decaf, and it was always kept topped off. Wonderful, friendly service. read more

One of the San Jacinto valley's diners. Looks like a fast food place from State St, but the owner's of this place spent all their cash in the places that matter. Inside is cozy with private dining room available. Full bar, well stocked, affordable drinks and drafts. Pair that with a full, high quality menu. I often take wife on weekends for her favorite Prime Rib. She tells them how manypounds & ounces she wants, and tada it's in front of her in a jiffy. I always get either a bacon cheeseburger or the awesome pork chop dinner. I have to take a takeout box for me, doggie bag for my dog, and a takeout for wife. Then out comes dessert. Either the people here want you to go home fully satisfied, or they are running An experiment to see how much food it takes to pop a stomach. I should call & email Guy from triple D' s. I hate doing this, I love giving great reviews but this place just didn't cut it. our food was over cooked, the place smelt weird, the staff wasn't friendly, my soda was flat, the floors were dirty, so on and so on. For other people that had a great experience I am glad, but I would NEVER recommend this place.....EVER! read more

I found this place a while back on Yelp but never actually made it inside because, to be frank, the curbside appeal is severely lacking (it looks like a dive liqour store front, lol). Anyway, again it came up on my search as being pretty good so I finally decided to forget my first impression and went inside. The place is just this little local diner with friendly wait staff and good food. I ordered the Country Fried Steak plate which had one of the best steaks I've had and the house potatoes are moist and with onions and green pepper, just like I like them. Also, when I asked for soft scrambled eggs, that's exactly what I got: nice, fluffy, yellow scrambled eggs with no burnt areas. The coffee was pretty decent too and they provide flavored creamers. I knocked off one star just because of the facade so if the owners are reading this, please...fix it up a bit. Even some nice graphic paintings/signs on the front windows would go a long way towards making this place more inviting. Who knows how many other potential customers have passed this place by just because of the first impression. The food alone will have me coming back again. read more

Just had breakfast here. I had the chili verde omelette. The food was excellent great flavor. Good sized portions. Chile verde could have been spicier to my liking but it had fantastic flavor. The service was absolutely excellent. And I highly recommend this little hole in the wall read more

I'm so glad I finally stopped in here! The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere is nice. There are many things to choose from on the menu, I was having a hard time picking what I wanted. oh and 10/10 would recommend their home fries, with peppers and onions. Wow this is the best or one of the best Mexican style cafés in Hemet I don't eat here very often but when I do I love it and I walk away 100% satisfied. I took my daughter and my sweetheart there today. We both had the chicken fajita omelette it is so delicious it's amazing. My daughter had some other kind of omelette and it was just as good for her this place is worth the money just one of the best restaurants in Hemet probably the best. Sandwiches good. We had Pastrami, chicken sandwich with Ortega chilies , Rueben. These were all very good. The sweet potato fries very good. Service very good. Potato salad , peaches, lettuce for salad all bad. The peaches and potato salad were rancid peaches had white spots as if refrigerator had gone bad or they had been left out. Potato salad had a very sour taste as if it had gone bad. Lettuce had brown edges was not fresh. Ambiance: not much, cobwebs on the Windows not very appetizing. read more

The outside is nothing to write home about, but it's what's inside that counts. The staff is prompt and friendly. The food is freshly prepared, tastes wonderful and the portions are large. The prices are quite reasonable and you will not leave hungry. I strongly recommend this restaurant. Don't let the exterior deter you. read more

I've got to say, I went to a lot of Diners and Cafes with my grandmother before she passed, but this one definitely takes first place, incredibly great service from our server Natashia, the bathrooms were the cleanest I had seen, and the food was absolutely delicious.
