exactly what I got: nice, fluffy, yellow scrambled eggs with no burnt areas. The coffee was pretty decent too and they provide flavored creamers. I knocked off one star just because of the facade so if the owners are reading this, please...fix it up a bit. Even some nice graphic paintings/signs on the front windows would go a long way towards making this place more inviting. Who knows how many other potential customers have passed this place by just because of the first impression. The food alone will have me coming back again.

This was a Great place, I feel that their quality and portion is definitely going down hill. When I first came here they served a decent potion and quality of food was really good. The last visit I went the portion was like a kids meal. I was very disappointed. I decided to move forded and keep try other places. I would hope their quality of food and portion go back to where they were.

Portion size was perfect and the food was full of flavor! This was our first time here, and we'll definitely be coming back

We decided to eat here for breakfast due to a family member recommendation. Overall the place is small and hidden mostly. We were greeted immediately by a warm smile and friendly hello. We were seated immediately as they were not yet busy. The menu had a a lot of options but I was told the chili chilaquiles was great. My wife order that and I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. Overall the food was good and the chili chilaquiles was tasty. Overall not bad at all. There were just a few things we did not care for like the food flavor was a little lacking. It was good but just not a flavorful meal. The coffee was ordinary. Like truck stop coffee. I ordered a chicken fried steak and eggs and they turned it into a skillet all cut up. Made me think that they may have been trying to hide something like how flat the steak was or over cooked. Not really sure. And they had several big parties and one waitress working the entire restaurant. She was getting overwhelmed but dealt with it overall. If you're in town, give them a try. I will definitely be back and see how they grow overall and try a few other selections. It seems like a place a lot of the locals visit.

Hubby and I were in cali for his family reunion and stayed in a hotel for the night. When we woke up we were hungry so I got on yelp to see what was in the area. I called around a few places and they had long waits being that it was a Sunday. We walked into 3 different spots and they weren't what we were expecting. J&Js was a hidden gem, a mom and pop shop located next to a liquor store. I brought my puppy in and no one said anything rude or off putting. The waitress was so sweet I forgot her name but she was really great. The food was delicious, I had a steak skillet with pancakes and hubby had a country fried steak with gravy. I was pleasantly surprised at how good everything was is. Not sure when I'll be back in Hemet but if you're a local or ever in the area definitely stop by for brunch!

This is defiantly a hole in the wall kind of place. I can see the locals love it. The place was packed with people in their small dining room area. The regular breakfast food was average/decent but let me tell you, do not order anything Mexican. The greenish/brown salsa they put on the food is not good. If your thinking of ordering Chilaquiles don't do it!!!!

The Mexican Benedict - pupusa topped with chorizo, avocado, a perfectly poached egg, and hollandaise sauce. I could only finish one.

There's 2 one in hemet and one in San jacinto the one in hemet. The hemet one is good the San jacinto is not bad they are not connected other than by name the San jacinto diner is more of a typical fast food place and the good is good. The hemet one on Oakland and state gas always been a favorite the foods really good. I believe it closes at 2 p.m. breakfast good and I like there Cuban sandwich is really good. read more

Great little place for breakfast! The two waitresses were awesome! The best service, friendly, lots of smiles, fulfilled requests without an issue! The food was EGGSELLENT!! Best breakfast ever. We are from the San Fernando Valley, two hours away, and were in Hemet for an overnight to attend a birthday party. Found the restaurant on Yelp and so happy we did. I just wish we were closer so we could go there more often. read more

Breakfast skillet, two eggs draped out a mountain of potatoes cuts and chicken fried steak, smothered in gravy. Plus a biscuit on the side also covered in gravy. What a find! It's sort of like a Mexican breakfast cafe, I was deciding between this and the chorizo. But it's so hard to say no to some chicken fried! Cooked to order, perfectly laid out, no complaints. The fried steak, I would like a tad bit more crisp on the shell, nevertheless cooked well. Top notch gravy, some places tend to go soft on the gravy, but they put in a good combination of ingredients, good taste and not dried out. Don't get turned off by the location. Seems a bit bare and runny outside. Very friendly and attentive service, I look forward to dropping by again. read more

I walked one block from U-Haul waiting for my hitch to be put on my SUV. J & J was recommended by them. Just like home cooking. Impressed., Friendly staff. I had them make me a teriyaki chicken sandwich. Included fruit. I stay away from fries. It must be family owned., if I'm ever in the area I will be back. read more

I used to look forward to coming here every weekend and brought my family here when they came to visit but I have stopped recommending it. Any positive reviews from me would have been based on the previous La Taza, but not the current one.

They did. Ordered the loaded burrito with sausage and bacon. It was in fact loaded. There was not a single bite that did not have sausage, bacon, crispy potato, cheese, avocado, AND sour cream. Wrapped all nice and pretty like a burrito present. You literally cannot go wrong with this breakfast burrito. The salsas are good. Green has a little kick to it in spice and tanginess. Red is really mild, almost like a pico. Ordered the Morenita with 2 added shots of espresso (yes, I'm a caffeine addict, lol!). It was delicious, the espresso was rich and flavorful. I have a feeling that every time I come here in the future, my order will stay exactly the same. Keep in mind, the food is made fresh to order, so you can wait for a minute especially if there is a few people already enjoying this place. Thick, meaty, eggy, cheesy goodness. Today I was lucky to receive both the green and red salsas. Which is better? Naw, it doesn't work like that. They each have their own flavors and hit differently with each bite. Not enough kick for y'all, but for me it was perfect (lightweight). For coffee, I went with El Chino, which is their version of a Vietnamese Coffee. Without stirring, you're going to get that moment you're looking for. After a good stir, you're sipping on a creamy, but strong coffee. Perfect for those who need a quick boost. The girls here always take care of you, answers your questions and provide the best service. If you're not a fan of lines, set your alarm to come a little earlier than your normal coffee run (pre-9am). Either way, come here and try it yourself, you won't be disappointed.
