We had the steak and found the taste and quality to be bland. I requested medium and received a well done, breakfast steak. Hardly a sirloin. However my daughter got the hot beef sandwich and she raves over the flavor, all throughout the meal. read more

If you are heading near here, come here. This place is really good. Note for this place, can you hand butter the toast, it is a little to greasy, but was still good. I had the omelette, with bacon, sausage, and American cheese. That omelette was fantastic, and delicious! This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to during COVID-19. They do not follow any covid regulations. Only one staff member was wearing a mask and only the chef was wearing gloves. I witnessed a server cut a lemon with no gloves, that was later served to a customer. The server who was rolling silverware was touching them all with their bare hands. The food was good, but our group felt uncomfortable the entire time because the precautions for COVID were not being taken. read more

We went here on a Monday morning and were immediately seated by the sweetest waitress. She brought us menus and took our drink orders. My son ordered an omelette and I ordered two eggs/ham/potatoes. Both of us were completely happy with our food. My over medium eggs were perfectly cooked and tasted fresh. The home fries were delicious. My son loved his omelette and home fries. This place is great! A family owned, all-American diner, with delicious comfort food. I recommend the pizza, deep fried cod,and especially the breakfasts. Nothing special about the yankee boy, but it's the closest sit-down, family-friendly restaurant to our house. We just took my mother to Yankee Boy Restaurant for her 88th birthday. It's Friday and the fish fry was the main attraction. We took our son, his wife and three children ages 6, 3 and 1. There was a little wait, no big deal, the waitress was great and the food was really good. When it came time to pay the bill, the lady who took my money, made the comment that restaurants are starting to exclude children in their establishments because of them not behaving as they should. I guess that was her way of telling me that my grandchildren were not behaving as they should have. I guess the $100 we dropped there and the fact we drove 60 miles (round trip) to patronize their establishment wasn't appreciated. I didn't appreciate the passive-aggressive manner as to how she handled the situation. If she had a problem with the children, she should have addressed it with their parents, who were standing right behind me waiting to pay their portion of the bill. So for that reason, I WILL NOT RETURN OR RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE IN THE FUTURE. read more
