I was greeted entering the store by a nice lady with a big smile. She assisted me on the newest arrivals in candles (yes I hoard YC). A great shopping experience. YC is very expensive but if you keep your eyes online and sign up for emails & text alerts, you will receive notifications on wonderful sales that happen almost weekly! I've always enjoyed shopping at this location, and it's very convenient for me seeing that I live 5 minutes away literally lol, unfortunately none of the old staff or management is there anymore & it sucks because I had such a great relationship with all of them, literally the best staff any business could have ever had hands down that's not even an exaggeration. But for some time now, the henderson location has been ran by a new store manager and staff to match. So far, the store manager has been pretty cool and friendly / easy to talk with, as per the staff, i really haven't had too many interactions with them. To be entirely honest, I mainly deal with the store manager simply because she knows exactly what I'm looking for only because i buy one specific scent when I shop there and call in advance to make sure they have it in stock. Well, today I switched it up and picked up a new scent I was curious about iced berry lemonade and ended up liking it & and it's not too far off from the scent that I normally purchase which is lemon lavender, so that was a plus. Now, there's something i'd like to address. I'm sorry in advance if any of the employees find this comment as a jab at any of you, but I feel like you guys need to take more time and do a better job @ getting to know your customers. That means step out from the backroom or from behind the register and come introduce yourself, be on that first name basis with your customers instead of making people feel like just another "customer" read more

First time actually shopping here and they have so many good deals and discounts. So many things were 40% off and even when you pay, if you register your name and number, you'll get a free candle for your birthday and even more discounts through email. They'll even cut your wick for you when you get any of their candles. So many choices to choose from and so many scents, you'll definitely spend a lot of time here smelling everything and choosing a lot. read more

Aren't we lucky to have a Yankee candle store here! I LOVE their candles, and the women helping us were so sweet. Amazing customer service. One of them is named Michell, like my name but no E. I love meeting other Michelle's. And the other lady was the manager, she showed us the candles with the strongest scent. Located on the first floor near the elevator at Galleria Mall. I love their candles compared to other brands, the ones we got were Autumn Fall scents and they were on sale! Half price for their largest candle. Great price. They still have a strong great scent after a couple of weeks. LOVED it, it was just what we were looking for. They also give you a free candle on your birthday so sign up on their website! Well I'll be that one person with the three stars. Don't get me wrong their customer service skills are amazing, super friendly. And it's not their fault the return system sucks. But I guess there is a reason why I only shop at bath and body works. I burned a candle for only an hour, smelt like nothing. They gave me a coupon to use for 50% off the candle. So the value of the candle I tried returning was $15.50. I should've been able to get a new candle for that price. But instead they gave me a Gc option or put $15.50 towards a new candle and pay the difference. That's ridiculous in my opinion. So now I have a $16 which I probably won't use. The air fresheners for the car barely work.. but bath and body you can burn a candle and exchange for a new candle for no cost. Shame.. read more

This is the last Yankee Candle retail store in the Las Vegas area. It's a very well stocked store and the employees are always super friendly. I recently purchased a candle online and totally hated the scent (it gave me the worst headache), so I came here to do something I've never done before: return an item that I used (I only burned it for maybe 30 minutes, but the candle set me back $28 and that's expensive enough that I didn't want to just toss it out). The exchange was super easy as I just swapped the stinky headache-causing candle for a different scent. This particular store is very neat, orderly and tidy. It was easy to find what I wanted and of course I picked up a few more goodies while I was in there because let's get real: a gal can never have enough good smelling candles. This store also has a really cool area where you can personalize any candle in the store for an extra $5. You email a photo or logo or whatever, they print out a label and affix it to a candle for you. This makes a really nifty gift idea and is something I will definitely purchase in the future. At checkout the clerk did try to "upsell" me on EVERYTHING in the store, which was kind of obnoxious. I had to keep saying "no." Once my transaction was complete, lo and behold she whips out a special 10% off coupon for an upcoming sale. I would've been super annoyed if I had bought a lot of pricey candles and then she gave me a discount coupon for them! read more

I love Yankee Candles! This has aways been a splurge for me and I love to splurge. I had no idea that they had their own dedicated store until I stumbled across it in the Galleria at Sunset. I had only seen them in Bed Bath and Beyond and Ross. The set up is very familiar. It feels like you're shopping at Bath and Body Works, but instead of lotions you're getting candles. My favorite thing to buy now are the tarts for my warmers. A lot more affordable and you can change them out more often than candles. I also like buying the car fresheners. Come and check this place out if you love Yankee Candles. It will not disappoint! read more

I was having a hunting and gathering instinct moment and purchased 8 candles online, scents that I hadn't purchased before (daring, I know) and after I had placed my order, I was starting to have regrets of not knowing what I ordered. So I called to cancel my order, literally hours after, and they told me that I couldn't because "it was in process" and my option was to refuse the delivery when it arrives. Yes, because I can sit home and wait for Fed Ex to arrive? My package arrived a week later, and I decided to return the candles to the one and only Yankee Candle store in Vegas, which happens to be about 15 miles away from me at the Galleria Mall. So I call prior to making the trip over and I explain to her the situation and I'm told it's no problem to return or exchange. I arrive and start the return, the woman has to call the company to see how she can make this return. After talking to a employee, she informs me that since I purchased these with my Paypal account, that there is no way to do a return and that I would have to be given a store credit. I'm sorry, huh? "Our system has no way of returning your money to your Paypal account, so you would have to mail the packages back to us if you want a refund". You want me to mail 16 pounds of candles, and I'm standing right here in one of your stores? It's 2014 folks, upgrade your shitty computer system so you're along the lines of every other company! Nowhere online does is state that if you use Paypal, expect to not receive a refund. I'll be sending these back and I will never purchase Yankee Candle again. read more

I've been in love with this company for so many years now. My first time trying their scented candles was when I lived in London, and this small cute boutique has those tea light candles that smelled sooooo good. little did I know it was Yankee Candle products. I've been hooked ever since. And I was so happy to see that they had a location here in Vegas. I always go there and get lost in their heavenly scents. and once you start buying from there, they sign you up on a reward program to get special discounts. its pretty awesome. I love Yankee Candle on all levels! Even though the Boulevard store closed and that made me sad, I like the Galleria store. It just doesn't have as much of a "homey" feel as the Boulevard store did. Same great merchandise, though. I can't live without a stash of tarts and I hoard candles to a disturbing extent. My most recent visit left me with a new Halloween tart warmer and a good amount of tarts. I'm just sad that there was only one Witches Brew tart to buy. I got some patchouli tarts to hold me over...hopefully they get more Witches Brew in before Halloween. I LOVE that they have more fall fragrances that are not pumpkin-laced!
