This was a doordash order but I have tried yapis from other catered events. The sandwiches are so consistent. I have also tired the loaded fries and Philly but it was so good never stopped to even take a photo. They also have a variety of ice creams! The cevapi is a must the kebab is so juicy! This was my first time trying this place after a co-worker recommended this place. My manager and I initially ordered the Supreme chicken gyro but to our surprise when we opened the bag we received the supreme gyro instead. We were not able to return to get what we ordered. The gyro tasted good and the toppings were a good addition. I only am giving it 4 stars because we received the wrong order. The staff was friendly when I went in to pick the order up. We had to call and ask to not include one topping for another co-worker of mine because ordering online doesn't allow you to not include a topping you don't want. The lady was nice when I asked to not include that ingredient. The parking is a bit hectic around this busy area. I'll be back to try the Supreme Chicken gyro though. read more

I absolutely love Yapi! I love the convenience of its location on Vandeventer, and I'm telling all my SLU friends to check this place out since it's so close to campus! I've tried their Crispy Chicken Sandwich and their Grilled Chicken Parmesan Wrap. Both are incredible! I'm also obsessed with the seasoning they use on their fries. Very unique and delicious flavor! My friend and I decided to try a new restaurant on Friday for lunch and stopped by Yapi to give it a shot! We really appreciated how friendly the owner was-- she had really great recommendations and I decided to get the Buffalo chicken sub. The sub came with fries, which were really nicely seasoned and also had a great crunch! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and it was also a super good deal for the price. My friend decided on the classic gyro as well as the baklava and she said both were also really good! We would recommend getting the subs/wraps as those come with fries and are very filling. They also have a discount on Wednesday for the classic gyro and are conveniently located right across from SLU. We'll definitely be back to try other things on the menu! read more

Now this place was amazing! We went during the middle of the week so it wasn't as busy, but I was so glad we did! Upon entering we were greeted very kindly and she even made suggestions based off of the type of meat we wanted! I took pictures of the seating area and food! The food was absolutely amazing! This is a great little family owned Mediterranean restaurant in South City. I sat at the bar and ordered to buffalo chicken fries and cevapi. The woman who helped me was very friendly and gave good suggestions. She also offered me a water while I waited. It did take a little bit longer than I expected with only one other table there at the time but I wasn't in a hurry. The food ended up being really good my husband and I enjoyed it. Crisp and with the perfect cheese to fry ratio. I ordered a classic gyro sandwich on pita and my partner went for the super end on lenpinja bread. If you'd told me I'd fall in love with a sandwich that's nothing more than beef and bread, I'd have told you you're crazy. I'm all about balanced sandwiches. But that was before I tried Yapi's Cevapi. I was pleasantly surprised with the delightfully springy, well-seasoned and lightly charred beef sausages that were sandwiched between the simultaneously warm, soft, crispy, and gooey somun bread. The contrast of all the textures made for a fun eating experience. Fortunately it was served with a side of red onions, banana peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and sour cream which offered a contrast of flavors as well. I also tried the classic gyro and can't complain!! Other positives are that the meat is halal and the staff is delightful! I will be coming back. read more

I cannot believe what happened to me today. On 7/27/19, I placed an order with Yapi on Uber Eats. Per the attached photos, I placed an order at 6:17pm for $19.20. I then noticed that I was accidentally getting double of an item. So I cancelled the order and placed the order again without the double item at 6:19 for $14. On 2/1/2020, I got an email from Uber Eats that Yapi charged me for the $19.20 cancelled order from 7/27/19. The email says that the restaurant had already started on my order. After calling Uber Eats, they told me there was nothing they could do because the company did this, not Uber Eats. This is very disappointing. I trust my financial information with this company and restaurants can just go in and charge me 6 months later for a cancelled order? That is ridiculous. And it's rude that this company did this to me when I still ordered from them in July after the cancelled order. I cannot believe the unprofessional way they are treating their customers. read more

This is a nice little place on Hampton. Even though it's a small place it's got big food. I had a hard time deciding what to get...it all sounded so good. I started with a side of falafel. They were great! They were crispy on the outside and soft and moist (Sorry to those who hate that word) on the inside. I had the Philly wrap for my entree. It was huge. It was basically a grilled Philly wrap...cheesy and meaty. My wife had the gyro. She's kind of a gyro snob and she loved it. I can't wait to go back to try the other wraps and subs. Large order of fries is quite large and big enough to share. Classic gyro was greatly enjoyed and dining partner debated ordering another for tomorrow's lunch. Bottled or fountain drinks available.
