There's a bar in the middle of the restaurant that can be sat at as well. LOTS & LOTS of tables and booths to dine at. Music choice was good. Lots of singing at our table 80'smusic was playing do how was i NOT supposed to sing ‍. Music at first seems LOUD, but when more people came in. The music was MUCH softer. BUSY SPOT at happy hour time SERVICE was good 5/5. Our server was Katie. Very hospitable with a bubbly and friendly personality. Even a gentleman, I'm guessing is the manager (called Zach), came over to make sure all was well after it was realized that the glass I was drinking from was cracked. He also was friendly. FOOD was delicious 5/5! BIG PORTIONS. We shared the delicious house salad. No pic, didn't last very long once it hit our table We ordered the sliders appetizer, comes with fries 5/5. This was a WHOLE meal in and of itself, and lemon pepper bone in chicken wings. Both items were DELISH! Would recommend 5/5. Only had to ask for more water once, and the unsweetened ice tea was refilled without having to ask for more. Not much to choose from on the dessert menu, not that I need it, and there wasn't any room left for dessert after eating our meal. All in all I would give them a 4/5. This was our first time coming to the Brea Yard House,House. The ambience was very nice. The server was very nice as well. They gave us time to pick our food and drinks that we wanted.. the spicy beef noodle was very good and tasty and the ribeye. They made it perfect to my liking. The food was fantastic and I would definitely be back to eat again just maybe at a different location. Order: house lager, sunrise sangria, spicy edamame, poke nacho, and bbq chicken pizza Comment: Wes our waiter was great and very helpful but Bella the hostess did not care to help at all. She sat us right under a 200 inch tv on full blast and between a wall and a huge party and when we asked if we could move inside she asked us twice if we really wanted to. An attempt to convince us to stay and not ask more of her. When she finally did she said she'd have to put us at the bottom of the list and the wait would be 20-30 minutes even though we just wanted to sit at one of the many empty seats inside as shown in the first picture. We told her we were fine waiting but this is the first I've ever heard where we would be placed at the bottom of the list just because we wanted to change tables. She said it's normal and so we followed her back to the front to wait. Not 3 minutes go by before they sat us at a booth. Dog dad requested we drop by Yard House to try a beer before movie night, so we settled in for a half-yard and ordered some sliders with fries. We chose to sit at the bar, and major props to the bartender who set us up so nicely for our snacks and beer. The bar was full of people watching various games on the TVs, but everyone was really friendly and gracious about our close quarters. The noise level is a little higher than average, but I think it is pretty on par for all Yard House locations. Dog dad was rather disappointed in the beer, because he said it didn't taste the way it normally does, but we both agreed the service was an A+. We also found out we were there during happy hour, so our sliders were only $7. The portions were larger than we expected and way more filling than anticipated. I love Yard House and went on happy hours this time. The food and price are as usual perfect and totally worthy to go again and again. We tip good at 20% to reward their services and delicious food. But, the velate parking damaged my new less than 2 weeks old Lexus with a nail swirling in the tire. It was definitely manually placed in by someone working in the back of the restaurant. We were a little disappointed in the fact that they advertised Octoberfest beer selection and they were out, that is why we went. We were there on Wednesday they had the menu out for the Octoberfest beers but when we ordered that is when we found out they were out, why put the menu on the table? The calamari was very greasy. Our guest ordered the jambalaya and had to send it back as it was so salty. She ended up getting the Ahi crunchy salad which she did enjoy. The food at Yard House is consistently good, the decour is inviting and spacious and the drinks selections are vast. I am glad to be sitting inside after dining outdoors all summer long. (Pandemic sucks) Yay air conditioning. And, Happy Hour is on at YH!! Monday-Friday 3-6pm. Lucky me. Lucky you if you get here in the next 2.5 hours Their selection of Belgian whites is satisfying. Prior to coming to the restaurant I called to ask about the seating arrangement due to Covid. We arrived at the restaurant to be greeted by the host. We preferences the patio since I assume it would be less crowded. Once our table was ready I found that the indoor seating was very well spaced out for the guest but the patio area was not!! The patio was more full than the inside which was very disappointing since I felt like I wanted to keep my mask on when I was not eating nor drinking. The servers wore a mask and gloves which was great but I think I feel safer just getting take out. Our food order was not consistent with the prior times we came. This place is big, airy and busy. I went here on a weekday around 4 and it was a nice cold vibe. I enjoyed the dining area that was inside but outside kinda. Not sure what it's called but I loved that it was easy to social distance due to how big it is. I did the usual half yard but that's after ordering a sampler flight of different beers. For starters we ordered the onions rings and calamari and it was very tasty and a big amount! My company ordered the fish and chips which they found to be oil free, crisp and tasty. Don't know why after the pandemic, the quality of the food has really diminished with chains. I get the higher prices, but shouldn't the quality of food be just as good as it was pre-pandemic? Have always enjoyed the quality of the food served at any Yard House. Well, not this round. Very disappointed. Started out with some appetizers, then ordered a sandwich. Appetizers were fried chicken tenders, Margherita Pizza, and chicken nachos. Then I ordered their Double-Decker BLT. Pizza was tasteless. Not much more to elaborate on that. Fried chicken tenders were ok. They came with maple dijon and buttermilk ranch sauces to dip in. House fries too. The maple Dijon dipping sauce has a hint of horseradish. I did enjoy that. The Double-Decker BLT was just a fail from the start. Although it looked aesthetically pleasing, it was just a facade. First, what appeared to be toasted bread, was soft to the touch and seemed as though it had been waiting a while to be picked up by the server. The bacon's quality was very poor. It had that turkey bacon look. It's the only way I can currently describe its appearance. Was also very bland. Didn't even have that true bacon smell, that if you're a bacon lover, you can smell three zip codes away. Chicken nachos, well..... Taco Bell, which is not a place I frequent, must share their chicken nachos recipe with the Yard House. They're not terrible, but I'd expect better quality and taste. Service, was just ok. Our first server was nice and quasi attentive. Her shift was almost over, and I think she was in that mode to tie up final things before she tapped out. Before she left, she introduced our new server. He had a unique name, it was pronounced like the word Align. Not sure how to properly spell it. He was attentive and helpful. Service, was good. My dissatisfaction was with the food. I will try them again and let them know before I order what I experienced on my last visit. Then hopefully I will give them a more favorable rating. My sister and I went in Friday night and we're dissatisfied. I am a server so always make sure to be super nice to staff and understanding. Our server did not serve my sister alcohol because she left her whole wallet at home, understandably she's doing her job. I ordered my drink and an appetizer and we were going to close out after that but the server never came back instead stood around staring at my sister like she was going to have my drink. My sister was uncomfortable and told me let's take the appetizer to go. We are waiting for her to come back to our table and never did. I tried closing out our tab on the hand held at the table so we could just leave and as I'm trying to put the tip and pay the bill it says I cannot because the server was using the tab. I try two more times but this time our check has gratuity included? We finally flag her down and ask for a box and the check which she was snarky about. We close out and go to the host stand to ask for a bag. I ask the host if gratuity is added to parties over 6 or to all tabs and she said they are added to all tabs but are optional. I've never been to a restaurant where they add a tip to a 2 top and their bill be $35. I ALWAYS tip, good or bad service I always do but it really rubbed me the wrong way that she added gratuity for herself when she didn't do anything but make our experience uncomfortable. She originally requested to be sat outside and when we got there they had 2 tables reserved for us. My friend requested outside so everyone could sit on 1 table and not be separated, so the whole mix up was annoying. I sadly didn't get to drink :/ so i missed out on my fave ACE Pineapple. Unfortunately they don't give you happy hour prices unless you get seated during happy hour (I got seated a little bit before). I recommend getting the poke nachos, fried cheese curds, wings, and buffalo pizza. I normally order their appetizers because it's so good! The food came out super quick and our server was very nice! For drinks I got the paloma and the grand something margarita (I recommend the grand margarita). The poke nachos are literally so tasty!! The flavor is always on point. 4 Stars because our service was stellar, but the food is just ok. I want to start off by saying that the Happy Hour deals are definitely worth it. I believe it's 3-6pm (M-F), someone correct me if I'm wrong. The Happy Hour dishes are all full-sized items for half the price. It's kind of insane to me, and I don't know why we ordered like 5 items for 2 people, but I'd do it again. I wanted to highlight our server, Dustin. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, he was super friendly, attentive, and helpful. My husband and I are generally pretty easy going when we dine out, but we were super appreciative of how attentive Dustin was. He made us feel like we were all old friends out to grab a bite to eat. I cannot stand sour beers, but this was just the perfect combination of elements to make it super refreshing. Bonus: They have happy hour! All the pint drafts are $2 off and they have half priced apps. It even included the gardein wings that I was craving. They have five or six different flavors to choose from, and you can half and half to try more than one flavor. I really enjoy the food at yard house, i always leave satisfied with everything. We usually just get appetizers to share with the whole table and everything is always super yummy. This past time i felt like our server kind of forgot about us, mostly because she was so attentive to the table next to us. Today my 2 friends & I decided to eat here at Yard House in Brea . We received great service from Chelsea. She was very sweet & attentive to us 3 ladies. My 1 friend ordered a salmon/ kale salad which looked amazing. She said she could only eat part of it , cause she felt the salmon wasn't cooked well . So the manager/ Kurt Shoemaker took her plate . Actually made her a new salmon to take home as well . Kurt didn't have to do that !! Kurt truly went above and beyond for my friend. We all very surprised but also very grateful that he did that .
