I normally don't leave reviews, but my experience at The Cheesecake Factory in Brea was extremely disappointing. My party of three arrived around 7:00 p.m. We checked in and waited about 30 minutes to be seated, which wasn't a problem. Once we were seated, we were given menus and told our server would be with us shortly. Our waiter was very nice and polite, but the service was unbelievably slow from start to finish. It took a very long time before anyone came to take our order. We waited forever just to receive the complimentary bread, and every part of our meal seemed delayed. We literally arrived while the sun was still out and didn't leave until it was dark because of how long everything took. Unfortunately, the worst part of the evening happened when our food was being brought to the table. Food was accidentally spilled all over me, leaving my clothes dirty and smelling like the food for the rest of the night. Accidents happen, and I understand that, but it's how the situation was handled that really disappointed me. About 15 minutes later, a manager finally came over and simply said something along the lines of, "Well, it looks like you cleaned yourself off." There was no sincere apology, no offer to replace or clean my meal, and no attempt to compensate us in any meaningful way. Not even an appetizer, dessert, or part of my meal was offered to make up for the inconvenience. Considering food had been spilled all over me, I expected much better customer service. The lack of urgency and concern from management made me feel like my experience didn't matter. While our waiter was friendly, the overall service and the way management handled the situation were unacceptable. Spending several hours waiting for our meal, only to end the night covered in spilled food and leaving without the issue being properly addressed, is not the experience anyone expects when dining here. I got the burger. Super on point with their "secret sauce". Fries were a little lukewarm but it's all good. Other friend got the Vodka pasta, Tex Mex Egg-rolls and Tuna. All our food was on point. Upon arriving we were greeted and seated almost immediately on a Monday night. Our server was amazing, I wish I would've got her name but she was very attentive, answered our questions, gave recommendations and was quick to check in. My fiancé ordered the orange chicken plate and I had the carbonara pasta. It was so good, my fiance finished his entire plate and started picking at my pasta after he loved the taste I gave him. For dessert we ordered a Dulce de Leche caramel cheesecake with mocha and caramel capuchinos. Such a great combo, I recommend trying a nice cheesecake with a coffee or hot chocolate! My husband got a gift card from work for Christmas, so i decided to place an order for pick up. For clarity, my 5 stars is based on my interaction with the staff at the pick up register only (I didn't catch her name). Unfortunately i scratched the gift card pin area a little too hard lol so i could not place an online order. So I called (dread) and the girl on the phone told me I could place a phone order and pay at the store without the pin, so that's what I ended up doing. The parking lot here is beyond chaotic, and had we not had a gift card, I would not have bothered. All the construction going on at the mall makes this area very congested and dreadful. Once inside I was greeted by the girl who took my phone order. She was very friendly and pleasant to talk to. She helped me with the gift card payment and brought me my to go order right away. I only ordered an appetizer for myself - the meatball sliders - which were surprisingly tasty. One of the prettier Cheesecake locations, which high ceilings and glass paneling. Their bar/lounge area is bigger compared to most as well. Conveneintly located off the freeway too. Parking appears full on weekends and it shares the parking with BJ's but not difficult to find a spot. Our waitress was Dolores and she was incredible. Attentive, kind, personable. We saw a slice of cheesecake being delivered to table next to us and Dolores was kind enough to share the details of the cheesecake, from crust to toppings. Food portions are big. We came for a late dinner (after 8:30pm) so the restaurant wasn't crowded at all and seated within 5 minutes of giving our name to the hostess... just enough time to look at the cheesecakes display. I can't speak on the ambiance of the restaurant because I had a pickup order. I ordered the Eggroll Sampler which had the following spring rolls: avocado, cheeseburger, TexMex, and chicken taquitos. I also the fried chicken sandwiches. Every dish was packed nicely in a container and food was fresh and hot. When I got home, I really enjoyed the chicken and biscuits. The egg rolls were okay. My husband got steak Diane and my father in law got a taquitos small plate. Both of their dinners were stone cold. My husband potatoes were not even remotely warm and the steak was room temp. So were the taquitos. Both salads were close to $23 and there was maybe a cup of lettuce- the majority was croutons. Since when does a cup of lettuce and 2 oz of chicken cost $23? Are you joking? I've gotten this salad for YEARS. It's always been huge. All the plates had very little food on them and a big fat price. Our waiter never came to check on us for drink refills. Our meal too over an hour to come out- why? 3 of the plates weren't cooked! Just so bad. We ordered dessert- 3 slices of cheesecake and 2 stone cold apple crisps with no crisp on top of the apples which are now diced, canned apples. Two days ago, I visited a friend in Santa Monica. They invited me to a cheesecake factory by the waterfront; the atmosphere was amazing, the staff were excellent, and the food was delicious I especially loved the upside-down cake. When I got home, I looked for another cheesecake factory near my house and found this one. I was very disappointed; it wasn't as good as the one in Santa Monica. I recommend making reservations. I will say the parking situation is not ideal and is probably the one thing that would have me choose a different location to visit. The restaurant was not too busy when we first got there, however when it started to get busy the service started to lack. I had to ask for refills and simple things like us not receiving all our entrees and having to ask about missing food item. I usually order a salad and this was the first I changed it up and ordered the salmon. I enjoyed my meal. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. read more

I'm shocked at the service on our most recent experience this weekend. The food was great as always, but by the time our entrees came around we weren't even hungry anymore and boxed it all up. Our server took 10-15+ minutes just to take our drink order. When she came we also put in our apps. She didn't check on us or come by often. Once our apps came our server kept walking by or attending the table next to us before finally taking our entree order. Again sadly, we boxed more of our meal. We were so surprised when we arrived to be seated so quickly, quoted 10-15 minutes, because we know this location is always busy. Once we were seated unfortunately the service time made up for what normally is a long wait time. Hopefully next time is better. read more

First ordering online does not work and when I call to place pick up I'm on hold for at least 20 minutes which is crazy. Just going to a lose a big order because you can not pick up the phone. read more

I came to The Cheesecake Factory - Brea because I received a gift certificate for Valentine's Day and realized I hadn't been to a Cheesecake Factory in years. It was a Saturday evening, and since it's located at the mall, I expected it to be busy and it definitely was. It was just me, so I initially headed to the bar to grab a seat. However, there seemed to be a line for the bar area that felt a bit disorganized. The bartender was telling different parties they couldn't sit because someone else was next, but it wasn't clear who that was, which made it confusing. Rather than trying to figure it out, I put my name on the list and was able to get a table for one. Once seated, everything improved. I ordered appetizers and an entrée, and the food came out quickly. Service at the table was smooth, and the meal itself was satisfying and consistent with what you expect from Cheesecake Factory. Overall, the food and table service were solid, but the bar area and reservation flow felt chaotic with people everywhere. Still a good experience, just a little organizational polish would make it five stars. read more

Celebrated my birthday weekend here and you can never go wrong with The Cheesecake Factory! It was super busy inside but they seated our party of 3 right away which was fantastic! Our server was extremely kind & knowledgeable with the menu; I couldn't decide on either the Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas or the Bang Bang Chicken & Shrimp, but he convinced me to get the enchiladas which were phenomenal! ^.^ He also gave my mom some recommendations on which steak dish to get for more bang for your buck! We appreciated that! Also, the Eggroll Sampler was delicious & the sauces were a good touch! We eat here very often. My granddaughter just got home from college. She orders the fettuccine alfredo every single time. The bowl is typically overflowing. This time about 1/3 of the normal portion was missing which I noticed immediately. At best she usually eats half of the order. This time there was barely anything left to take home. The price for this dish for just noodles and sauce is $24.50. I realize that all restaurant prices have skyrocketed but I think it's awful to reduce the portion size. The cost of the actual ingredients is likely less than $2.00. No protein. That $24.50 with tax and tip is about $32 for a bowl of noodles. I think we will be coming here less often.
