tldr: waited in my car for 40 minutes for a drive up order. Food was cold, and I mean like it was in a fridge cold. In restaurant service is fine, but avoid the bar. You will get 1 drink per hour. I ordered drive up at 8:45ish, said it would be ready by 9:10, or 9:22 at the latest. I got there and did the text system at 9:10, early, I know. Waited until 9:33 and called since the sign said to call and I wasn't sure if I had to do both. They said pull up to the entrance and they will have right out. So I pulled up, and waited, and waited. No one for about 10 minutes so I called again. The woman said it's only her and she has a long line and to have patience. I drove around the parking lot before parking back in front of the restaurant. Waited another 5 minutes or so and finally someone brought it. Like I said. Food was very cold, but somehow the butter they give with the bread was literally liquid. Ended up having to heat up the pasta in the microwave bc it was a brick of cold. Whenever I go in, the experience is fine, but the bar takes ages. Last time, we were able to get our appetizer and finish it before the drinks came out. Had a great birthday dinner here tonight for our friend. She had a good time and we all enjoyed the food. All our meals were hot and fresh. One meal was kind of lukewarm but they took care of it and remade it immediately. It was ready back out in 7 minutes. They offered my friend a salad to hold her over until her entree was ready. I got the burger. Super on point with their "secret sauce". Fries were a little lukewarm but it's all good. Other friend got the Vodka pasta, Tex Mex Egg-rolls and Tuna. All our food was on point. Service was also perfect. Angel was on top of our table and we were never lacking anything. Drinks were always full, and our to go's were done well also. Upon arriving we were greeted and seated almost immediately on a Monday night. Our server was amazing, I wish I would've got her name but she was very attentive, answered our questions, gave recommendations and was quick to check in. My fiancé ordered the orange chicken plate and I had the carbonara pasta. It was so good, my fiance finished his entire plate and started picking at my pasta after he loved the taste I gave him. For dessert we ordered a Dulce de Leche caramel cheesecake with mocha and caramel capuchinos. Such a great combo, I recommend trying a nice cheesecake with a coffee or hot chocolate! My husband got a gift card from work for Christmas, so i decided to place an order for pick up. For clarity, my 5 stars is based on my interaction with the staff at the pick up register only (I didn't catch her name). Unfortunately i scratched the gift card pin area a little too hard lol so i could not place an online order. So I called (dread) and the girl on the phone told me I could place a phone order and pay at the store without the pin, so that's what I ended up doing. The parking lot here is beyond chaotic, and had we not had a gift card, I would not have bothered. All the construction going on at the mall makes this area very congested and dreadful. Once inside I was greeted by the girl who took my phone order. She was very friendly and pleasant to talk to. She helped me with the gift card payment and brought me my to go order right away. I love eating here. My favorite drink is the raspberry lemon drop! This one is a must try, it literally tastes like candy. My favorite appetizer here is the fried mac and cheese balls. One of the prettier Cheesecake locations, which high ceilings and glass paneling. Their bar/lounge area is bigger compared to most as well. Conveneintly located off the freeway too. Parking appears full on weekends and it shares the parking with BJ's but not difficult to find a spot. Our waitress was Dolores and she was incredible. Attentive, kind, personable. We saw a slice of cheesecake being delivered to table next to us and Dolores was kind enough to share the details of the cheesecake, from crust to toppings. Food portions are big. The bread and butter are always a win, especially when it's served hot! We took home the banana cheesecake and the dulce de leche cheesecake. They were both incredibly delicious! Let me talk about my rating first. It's too bad I can't give it separate ratings. For food I give it a 3 stars and I will explain why. Because of our server Will B, I gave them a total of 4 stars. We came for a late dinner (after 8:30pm) so the restaurant wasn't crowded at all and seated within 5 minutes of giving our name to the hostess... just enough time to look at the cheesecakes display. Liz was our server tonight. She asked if we've been there before and of course our answer was a big YES!!! We scarfed that down so we asked for more when we ordered appetizers (truffle fries and hot crab dip served with slices of toasted bread) and our meals (farfalle chicken pasta and spaghetti with meatballs). The warm bread was delicious as always, the fries were crispy and the crab dip was tasty. Our meals were good except I had to send mine back because it had some mushroom pieces (which I told the waitress I was allergic to) in my pasta dish. She immediately took it away and offered me a salad to tide me over while a new dish was being made. That was a nice gesture. She brought me my new farfalle chicken pasta dish which she told me the manager made himself to ensure there were no mushrooms - THANK YOU to the manager because it was delicous!!! We didn't get dessert this time since we were stuffed but our eyes sure got big looking at the dessert case of cheesecakes. We had a very nice dining experience. The food was delicious! We come to this location in Brea because the food is consistently good, the service and proximity. The parking is a little bit of a challenge right now since it shares the parking lot with another restaurant and the Brea Mall, which has construction blocking off a big chunk of the parking lot. I was given a gift card to the Cheesecake Factory so I decided to order lunch and dinner from their app and yes I used their curbside service. I can't speak on the ambiance of the restaurant because I had a pickup order. I ordered the Eggroll Sampler which had the following spring rolls: avocado, cheeseburger, TexMex, and chicken taquitos. I also the fried chicken sandwiches. Every dish was packed nicely in a container and food was fresh and hot. When I got home, I really enjoyed the chicken and biscuits. The egg rolls were okay. The chicken came out hot and crispy, and the pasta sauce was hot and flavorful. No complaints on this dish, I would highly recommend. The Tomato basil pasta was very good, the entire dish came out hot and had a ton of flavor. Both pasta dishes were a nice size, enough to give you lunch for the next day. The avocado Eggrolls were good, and the sauce provided was also good; however, the pair together seemed kinda off, the flavors didn't mix well for me. But I would still recommend this dish because the egg rolls by themselves were good. I don't know if it's just the Brea location that sucks so hard or Cheesecake Factory in general now but damn! We have eaten at Cheesecake Factory for decades, less frequently in the past 5 years because of the overall decline in quality but still have and occasional visit as it has always been a favorite of my mother in law. We went last night for her birthday and it was ridiculous. It was crowded- but there's not much sympathy from me about that because this is their business that they have done for ages. We had 5 people and 3 of our meals were cold/ non cooked meals. 2 salads and a chicken salad sandwich. You don't cook those so- easy enough. My husband got steak Diane and my father in law got a taquitos small plate. Both of their dinners were stone cold. My husband potatoes were not even remotely warm and the steak was room temp. So were the taquitos. Both salads were close to $23 and there was maybe a cup of lettuce- the majority was croutons. Since when does a cup of lettuce and 2 oz of chicken cost $23? Are you joking? I've gotten this salad for YEARS. It's always been huge. All the plates had very little food on them and a big fat price. Our waiter never came to check on us for drink refills. Our meal too over an hour to come out- why? 3 of the plates weren't cooked! Just so bad. We ordered dessert- 3 slices of cheesecake and 2 stone cold apple crisps with no crisp on top of the apples which are now diced, canned apples. (Didn't used to be) there was nothing warm about that cold ass canned apple crap they brought out. There are SO MANY wonderful restaurants around. So many where the establishment loves food and loves their customers and aren't just corporate BS there sloppin' the pigs for a payday. I have loved cooking for years and loved feeding people. I'm shocked at the service on our most recent experience this weekend. The food was great as always, but by the time our entrees came around we weren't even hungry anymore and boxed it all up. Our server took 10-15+ minutes just to take our drink order. When she came we also put in our apps. She didn't check on us or come by often. Once our apps came our server kept walking by or attending the table next to us before finally taking our entree order. Again sadly, we boxed more of our meal. I came to The Cheesecake Factory - Brea because I received a gift certificate for Valentine's Day and realized I hadn't been to a Cheesecake Factory in years. It was a Saturday evening, and since it's located at the mall, I expected it to be busy and it definitely was. It was just me, so I initially headed to the bar to grab a seat. However, there seemed to be a line for the bar area that felt a bit disorganized. The bartender was telling different parties they couldn't sit because someone else was next, but it wasn't clear who that was, which made it confusing. Rather than trying to figure it out, I put my name on the list and was able to get a table for one. Once seated, everything improved. I ordered appetizers and an entrée, and the food came out quickly. Service at the table was smooth, and the meal itself was satisfying and consistent with what you expect from Cheesecake Factory. Overall, the food and table service were solid, but the bar area and reservation flow felt chaotic with people everywhere. I love Cheesecake Factory but I was not happy with today's service or what happened to my leftover food. Our server had a rude tone and we felt like we were getting rushed. The main reason why I'm making a review today was because of my leftovers in my togo box. Every time I come here, I always get the signature Chicken Bellagio, the mix of pesto with angel hair pasta, the chicken cutlet and the best part and what makes the dish, the prosciutto and arugula salad on top, so delicious. It's always been my favorite and I know that I can always take it home since it is a huge portion. Towards the end of the meal, I had asked for to go boxes but the server insisted to box them for us. I have never gone to a Cheesecake Factory where they boxed my leftover food before. I was just like okay whatever, the server boxed everyone's food. But when I got home to eat my leftovers, the best part, the prosciutto and arugula salad was not in my leftover box. It was only the pasta and the chicken cutlets. I am writing this review to warn people not to visit the Brea location. I have attempted to contact the restaurant. I was on hold waiting to talk with Anna for more than 10 minutes. I had to hang up as that is an extraordinarily long time to wait and is really quite frustrating. The day of my visit it was early afternoon. It was pretty busy with lots of large groups inside. The server was extremely slow with EVERYTHING - getting drinks, bringing bread, putting in our order. We waited more than 45 minutes for our food. The server came by to say the kitchen was slow, but never offered more drinks/bread. Finally received the food. My veggie burger was underwhelming and missing avocado. I had to alert the server about the issue. The server was slow with getting us the check, to go boxes and bringing the check back for signature. To make matters worse, the food made me feel ill later that day. I contacted the restaurant online to explain that they should check their food handling. Anna called me and left a message. I called the next day and was on hold for more than ten minutes. Anna has never attempted to reach out again. If talking on the phone is impossible then she really should have contacted me via email. the food was honestly really good like always. We ordered the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka and Louisiana Chicken Pasta and both were solid no complaints at all. The problem was the service after we finished eating. When our server asked if we wanted dessert, we said yes and told her I had a free cheesecake reward and wanted to look at the options. She handed us a menu, but after that we were completely ignored. We sat there for about 20 minutes with just water while she walked by multiple times and never checked on us. At that point we just wanted to pay and leave. We ended up having to ask someone from another section for help because no one was assisting us. Once we finally ordered the cheesecake, we decided to just take it to go because we were tired of waiting. The only other time we saw our server was when she dropped off the bill and walked away without saying anything. This location is always busy... my advice is to make an account with them so you have the option for a reservation. (Plus, you'll get a free cheesecake slice for your birthday... any flavor) Parking is quite hectic rn with all the mall construction, but they do offer complementary valet if you're interested. Service is so so. Sometimes great and other times not so much. Our last visit was awesome and service was spot on. I did the skinny chicken chopped salad. It was massive... easily two servings! We celebrated my older daughter's birthday at The Cheesecake Factory in May last month. This Cheesecake Factory is located at the Brea Mall in Brea. We got there around 5:30 p.m. on a weekday, and we were seated immediately. However, we were surprised that they were pretty busy and packed for weekday dinner. We ordered the following: 3 Soda ($14.85) 1 Frozen Iced Mango drink (9.50) 1 Fried Mac & Cheese ($17.50) 1 Four Cheese with chicken Pasta (29.95) 1 Grilled Steak Medallions ($26.95) 1 Lemon Garlic Shrimp ($23.95) and Celebration Cheesecake ($12.50- free with birthday reward) We first got their signature brown bread (a sweet wheat bread topped with oats), but we prefer the white baguette instead. They were not warm enough. My younger daughter liked the Frozen Iced Mango drink. It had mango, tropical Juices, and a hint of coconut blended with Ice and swirled with Raspberry Puree. It was very refreshing. The 4 big pieces of fried Mac & Cheese were crispy. They were crispy crumb-coated Macaroni and Cheese Balls and served over a creamy marinara sauce. They were delicious! The girls also enjoyed eating the Four Cheese with Chicken Pasta, but it was okay to me. Hubby ordered the grilled steak medallions, the portion was small, but it was yummy. I liked my Lemon-garlic shrimp with Angel Hair Pasta. They were sautéed shrimp served with asparagus, basil, tomato, and Lemon-garlic sauce. The presentation was nice, but I wish that they had more shrimp on the plate. Our staff was kind and friendly, but he was so busy that we couldn't reach him.
