I visited The Cheesecake Factory with my sister on Sunday, August 16 around 4:30 PM, and despite the restaurant being extremely busy, we were pleasantly surprised by how smoothly everything went. Let's start with parking...we circled the lot three times before finally finding an open spot! Seeing the large crowd gathered near the entrance made us nervous about how long we would have to wait. However, once we walked inside, we were seated in less than five minutes after putting our name down. A few minutes after being seated, we were brought water and bread while we looked over the menu. My sister and I decided to split the dinner portion of the Asian Chicken Salad and also try the Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice. While we waited for our food, our server brought us more bread. The sourdough was delicious, and the brown bread was soft and slightly sweet! When our food arrived, we immediately tried the crispy rice. Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing part of the meal. The rice was not crispy at all and seemed like it had been sitting for a while. For $20.95, receiving only four small not so great quality pieces felt overpriced and not justified. The spicy mayo drizzle was delicious, though, and was the highlight of the dish. The Asian Chicken Salad, on the other hand, was excellent. The portion was huge, the flavor was amazing, and the texture was perfect. I especially enjoyed the combination of the fried vermicelli noodles and mandarin oranges, which added a great contrast of crunch and sweetness to the salad. About halfway through our meal, the servers transitioned for the dinner shift. Both servers came to our table to introduce us to our new server, which was appreciated. Our new server was very kind, attentive, and efficient, and the transition was completely seamless. By the end of the meal, we were far too full to order cheesecake which is almost ironic when dining at The Cheesecake Factory! Overall, we had a good experience, especially considering how busy the restaurant was. Aside from the crispy rice, the food and service were excellent. Although it was somewhat busy, our party was that as big as some other so I think we managed to sneak her way in and for a Sunday afternoon, it was a nice place for a late lunch early dinner. Our server was very friendly and kept things moving, which I know is difficult when you have several tables all indifferent states of their visit. I decided to try a couple of newer appetizers. One was the chicken and biscuits with the fried chicken strips and the other was the pork belly sliders. They were both very good, but I was especially impressed with the pork belly sliders as the pork belly was thin, but not too thin very crispy, and flavorful. Decent food, good service. I especially love their sangria the fruit is soaked in the wine, which makes it extra flavorful! The prices are pretty fair for the portions and dishes. If you're planning to go in the evening or on a weekend, I definitely recommend making a reservation, otherwise you can expect about a 20-30 minute wait. My most recent experience is based on a Happy Hour visit at CF Brea Mall. I'm currently making the Happy Hour tour of local venues in Brea that have included nearby Pacific Catch, North Italia, CPK, Red Robin, and Lazy Dog. So first (in a while) impressions was that this national franchise is primarily known as a group gathering/ celebration venue. That being said, the bar area is relatively small to compared to the surrounding restaurants in the mall area but is it cozy, darken , and efficient. I found the staff helpful and knowledgeable about their HH offering, service at a good pace, and the food (HH Burger with add on fries) delicious and hearty along with my HH beer. One meal was kind of lukewarm but they took care of it and remade it immediately. It was ready back out in 7 minutes. They offered my friend a salad to hold her over until her entree was ready. I got the burger. Super on point with their "secret sauce". Fries were a little lukewarm but it's all good. Other friend got the Vodka pasta, Tex Mex Egg-rolls and Tuna. All our food was on point. Service was also perfect. Angel was on top of our table and we were never lacking anything. Drinks were always full, and our to go's were done well also. The check splitting and all that is always a pain to deal with. I understand why they only take 3 cards but the hostess should convey that as they seat the party. Upon arriving we were greeted and seated almost immediately on a Monday night. Our server was amazing, I wish I would've got her name but she was very attentive, answered our questions, gave recommendations and was quick to check in. My fiancé ordered the orange chicken plate and I had the carbonara pasta. It was so good, my fiance finished his entire plate and started picking at my pasta after he loved the taste I gave him. For dessert we ordered a Dulce de Leche caramel cheesecake with mocha and caramel capuchinos. Such a great combo, I recommend trying a nice cheesecake with a coffee or hot chocolate! I normally don't leave reviews, but my experience at The Cheesecake Factory in Brea was extremely disappointing. My party of three arrived around 7:00 p.m. We checked in and waited about 30 minutes to be seated, which wasn't a problem. Once we were seated, we were given menus and told our server would be with us shortly. Our waiter was very nice and polite, but the service was unbelievably slow from start to finish. It took a very long time before anyone came to take our order. We waited forever just to receive the complimentary bread, and every part of our meal seemed delayed. We literally arrived while the sun was still out and didn't leave until it was dark because of how long everything took. Unfortunately, the worst part of the evening happened when our food was being brought to the table. Food was accidentally spilled all over me, leaving my clothes dirty and smelling like the food for the rest of the night. Accidents happen, and I understand that, but it's how the situation was handled that really disappointed me. About 15 minutes later, a manager finally came over and simply said something along the lines of, "Well, it looks like you cleaned yourself off." There was no sincere apology, no offer to replace or clean my meal, and no attempt to compensate us in any meaningful way. Not even an appetizer, dessert, or part of my meal was offered to make up for the inconvenience. Considering food had been spilled all over me, I expected much better customer service. The lack of urgency and concern from management made me feel like my experience didn't matter. While our waiter was friendly, the overall service and the way management handled the situation were unacceptable. Spending several hours waiting for our meal, only to end the night covered in spilled food and leaving without the issue being properly addressed, is not the experience anyone expects when dining here. My husband got a gift card from work for Christmas, so i decided to place an order for pick up. For clarity, my 5 stars is based on my interaction with the staff at the pick up register only (I didn't catch her name). Unfortunately i scratched the gift card pin area a little too hard lol so i could not place an online order. So I called (dread) and the girl on the phone told me I could place a phone order and pay at the store without the pin, so that's what I ended up doing. The parking lot here is beyond chaotic, and had we not had a gift card, I would not have bothered. All the construction going on at the mall makes this area very congested and dreadful. Once inside I was greeted by the girl who took my phone order. She was very friendly and pleasant to talk to. She helped me with the gift card payment and brought me my to go order right away. I only ordered an appetizer for myself - the meatball sliders - which were surprisingly tasty. One of the prettier Cheesecake locations, which high ceilings and glass paneling. Their bar/lounge area is bigger compared to most as well. Conveneintly located off the freeway too. Parking appears full on weekends and it shares the parking with BJ's but not difficult to find a spot. Our waitress was Dolores and she was incredible. Attentive, kind, personable. We saw a slice of cheesecake being delivered to table next to us and Dolores was kind enough to share the details of the cheesecake, from crust to toppings. Food portions are big. The chicken came out hot and crispy, and the pasta sauce was hot and flavorful. No complaints on this dish, I would highly recommend. The avocado Eggrolls were good, and the sauce provided was also good; however, the pair together seemed kinda off, the flavors didn't mix well for me. But I would still recommend this dish because the egg rolls by themselves were good. We come to this location in Brea because the food is consistently good, the service and proximity. The parking is a little bit of a challenge right now since it shares the parking lot with another restaurant and the Brea Mall, which has construction blocking off a big chunk of the parking lot. I recommend making reservations. I will say the parking situation is not ideal and is probably the one thing that would have me choose a different location to visit. The restaurant was not too busy when we first got there, however when it started to get busy the service started to lack. I had to ask for refills and simple things like us not receiving all our entrees and having to ask about missing food item. I'm shocked at the service on our most recent experience this weekend. The food was great as always, but by the time our entrees came around we weren't even hungry anymore and boxed it all up. Our server took 10-15+ minutes just to take our drink order. When she came we also put in our apps. She didn't check on us or come by often. Once our apps came our server kept walking by or attending the table next to us before finally taking our entree order. Again sadly, we boxed more of our meal. We were so surprised when we arrived to be seated so quickly, quoted 10-15 minutes, because we know this location is always busy. Once we were seated unfortunately the service time made up for what normally is a long wait time. Hopefully next time is better. read more

Two days ago, I visited a friend in Santa Monica. They invited me to a cheesecake factory by the waterfront; the atmosphere was amazing, the staff were excellent, and the food was delicious I especially loved the upside-down cake. When I got home, I looked for another cheesecake factory near my house and found this one. I was very disappointed; it wasn't as good as the one in Santa Monica. However, the staff and the restaurant itself were great, everything else was perfect except the food was less tasty than the one in Santa Monica. read more

Food, visited the factory for a late breakfast. Unfortunately the food wasn't up to par. I ended up getting a simple breakfast eggs tomato slices ham and avocado on the side. The ham steak had a lingering after taste (sour aftertaste) I spoke with the server she did take it to the manager or someone and they took it back. I was disappointed that management wasn't able to see me so I could explain. I feel like they left my server to deal with me. I wanted to compliment my server and explain the sour ham ! Unfortunately that didn't happen sad to say but I won't be going back to Brea location. read more

I don't know if it's just the Brea location that sucks so hard or Cheesecake Factory in general now but damn! We have eaten at Cheesecake Factory for decades, less frequently in the past 5 years because of the overall decline in quality but still have and occasional visit as it has always been a favorite of my mother in law. We went last night for her birthday and it was ridiculous. It was crowded- but there's not much sympathy from me about that because this is their business that they have done for ages. We had 5 people and 3 of our meals were cold/ non cooked meals. 2 salads and a chicken salad sandwich. You don't cook those so- easy enough. My husband got steak Diane and my father in law got a taquitos small plate. Both of their dinners were stone cold. My husband potatoes were not even remotely warm and the steak was room temp. So were the taquitos. Both salads were close to $23 and there was maybe a cup of lettuce- the majority was croutons. Since when does a cup of lettuce and 2 oz of chicken cost $23? Are you joking? I've gotten this salad for YEARS. It's always been huge. All the plates had very little food on them and a big fat price. Our waiter never came to check on us for drink refills. Our meal too over an hour to come out- why? 3 of the plates weren't cooked! Just so bad. We ordered dessert- 3 slices of cheesecake and 2 stone cold apple crisps with no crisp on top of the apples which are now diced, canned apples. (Didn't used to be) there was nothing warm about that cold ass canned apple crap they brought out. There are SO MANY wonderful restaurants around. So many where the establishment loves food and loves their customers and aren't just corporate BS there sloppin' the pigs for a payday. I have loved cooking for years and loved feeding people. I'm sure it's why I find this place so offensive. Brea location is an absolute disaster. Whatever used to be good is gone. Find your deliciousness somewhere else, you'll be happier! read more

We had a wonderful server Dolores who was patient and kind at closing. We were unaware of how late the evening got when we arrived and we tied her section up later than expected, but she still provided top tier service with excellent recommendations on the food. She was kind enough to bring us a second serving of just the sourdough bread too. read more
