Ian was amazing. He was very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable with the menu. I have a gluten allergy and he quickly explained all substitutions possible. I ended up getting the grilled chicken avocado sandwich and substituted for a lettuce wrap and my boyfriend got the caeser with shrimp. With all the COVID regulations going on with dining out, Ian really made it feel like nothing was out of the ordinary (besides all the PPE) and he was extremely accommodating with distance/regulations. Food was great, beer was great. The atmosphere is always awesome. Wait times are a little bit long. I got the Nashville fried chicken, it comes with sweet potato pancakes and they are the best part of the meal. Sweet by themselves, no syrup needed. The sauces which are included with the meal should be revisited because neither of them really match the meal. If it was ranch they gave me, it was definitely lacking on the ranch flavor. They half half yard beers here which end up being about 2.5 pints of beer, great and fun. 2 will do you in. read more

I went to this Yard House with a friend last night. We sat at the bar to avoid a 35-40 min wait. The bartenders were great, and the food we ordered (sesame-crusted ahi tuna entree and ahi tuna topped salad) were both delicious and cooked/seared beautifully. Things fell short in 2 places. My friend and I both like dark beers and ales. Despite the crazy-long beer list, there was only one local beer, listed as a porter. It looked like porter, but it tasted watered down. Maybe just that brewer's style, but not the rich, creamy taste I expected from a porter. The other problem was the coffee. The first cup we got was not even lukewarm. The replacement cups were from a fresh pot, but the coffee still wasn't much warmer. We ate early, around 6:30, but the kitchen was already completely out of any type of creamer or milk. Really? A short run to Whole Foods could have easily remedied that. I'm giving it 4 stars mainly for the back of the house. read more

I saw this place on the phantom gourmet and i was like "holy crap! I wanna go there!" and then, by some act of God, I somehow ended up there later that night. True Story. The food is so yummy! I am all about their french fries! How do they cut them so thin!? I got a burger and it was better than average but I have had better. My friend got the Mac n' Cheese and it looked so good! My self and my wife decided to stop in for lunch. I asked the bar tender if they could change the college volleyball on the TV to the NFL. I didn't think this was too much to ask since it was 1:30 on football Sunday but the bartender says we don't change TVs. I didn't know how to respond....fast forward 30 mins and a gentleman who was a different race sits down and asks to change it they do. My wife speaks to another bartender and says we just asked to change the channel, she said it was busy and the manager was helping in the kitchen and he couldn't change it. We ask to speak to a manager he shows up and says he just got here. Didn't have anything to say or could come up with an excuse. If your a white dude enjoy yourself you'll have no problems here. This place advertises itself as a "high end sports bar" Well, the only thing high end about this place is the prices and the only "sports bar" thing about this place is that they have TVs. My dad and I tried to go there for a PLAYOFF Celtics game and they apparently did not think it was a big enough game to put on the sound. Came here for lunch while out shopping at legacy place. First, service was excellent and attentive throughout the meal. No complaints here whatsoever. For food we started with the onion ring tower which were very good and not overly greasy (for deep fried food). For entrees I ordered the burger which came with fries. The burger was just okay and a bit overdone. The fries however were excellent with a great crisp to them. My girlfriend got the turkey club which she said was also just okay but her salad and drink were good. Overall we would come back for lunch if in the area due to the large menu and food service as well as the convenient location when at Legacy Place. read more

We went there for Mother's Day dinner. We only waited a few minutes before being seated. The atmosphere is definitely what you expect for a bar. Children were with there parents. From where we sat, 2 large screens were visible to watch hockey and baseball. Vivian our server was excellent. We had the onion rings for appetizers. It was a stack that was really large. I had the lamb burger, which was DELICIOUS! My wife had the Vodka Shrimp pasta, which was a little bland. Our children had vegan options, which they said were also delicious. The beers were good too. Parking is always a little tight for Legacy Place, but we immediately found parking. Will definitely repeat! read more

Calling all Vegetarians who haven't had "buffalo wings" in years and miss the mouth watering taste of some buffalo chicken dunked in blue cheese or ranch. This is your place! The GARDEIN BUFFALO WINGS are out of this world for us who skip out on the buffalo chicken. Seriously delicious! They have a huge vegetarian friendly menu and offer the most like-meat alternatives I've ever seen! Great place to come here with a group of people who are all so busy talking and laughing the night away to realize when your service is getting mediocre and that your waitress keeps walking by your empty drink, because you're having too much fun to notice. The beer selection is awesome and you can drink from a big, fun, tall "yard" glass which is a couple pints and an instant buzz. Not a great place to have a sit down dinner and expect great service. Last Friday was the second time I had tried to get a table at this new bar/restaurant. You should try to come early because not only is Legacy Place "the" place for all age groups but Yard House is also a brand new restaurant. Apparently Yard House restaurants are pretty popular on the West Coast but are just now gracing us with their presence. This fantastic place has 160 beers for its patrons to choose from. You can even try Sam Adam's Brick Red ale which until very recently was not sold outside the brewery! Not feeling up to a whole pint of beer? You can try a sampling of 3-5 different beers between 3oz and 5oz. One big pointer, if you are at the restaurant before 6pm you should take advantage of the Happy Hour special prices! There is also one other thing that I personally think is a must, and that is their freshly baked brownie which comes with a choice of vanilla, mint chip or caramel ice cream. I've been here twice and both times I've really enjoyed it. Restaurant was pretty full but not crazy at about 7 on a Halloween night. We were seated at a circular table right by the windows which gave a great view of Legacy Plaza. Our server was very nice and helpful and another server who was assisting her was a pleasure to talk to, knew a lot about beer and we discussed it from time to time during the night. We shared a couple of apps and had a couple of beers each (Old Rasputin on tap was simply fantastic) and when we were accidentally given a larger serving of it we were still charged for the smaller one, which is always appreciated. Huge beer list with a ton of variety, a bunch of food options and friendly staff. You really can't ask for much more from a chain! read more

Amazing! Yes, it's truly amazing that this establishment is still in business! Most bars and eateries that serve up lousy food with an extra serving of horrible service fail within months, but The Yard House Dedham defies odds by keeping the doors open for business so customers can be ignored and eventually served uninspired, bland fodder. On a recent visit, I ended up walking out after being ignored by multiple servers/busboys. On my way out, I commented to the hostess that the service sucks. Her mocking comeback -"Does it?" Rather than apologize and try to make things better, her first impulse was to snap back with a sarcastic reply. The hostess. The first person you see when you make the unfortunate mistake of walking in the front door. She is the sad sad face of this organization and is a true representation of how The Yard House views customer service. Yet, they continue to stay in business. Hats off to the manager George for running a ship that can stay profitable despite their complete disdain for customers. It is sad indictment of America's tolerance and indifference for bad food and terrible service. Cheep quality Bar food at upscale prices. Turkey club with unripe half green tomatoes served on 3 slices of completely stale bread. Then an up-charged for frozen onion rings that I was told were hand made in house. Total lie. On the plate with the greasy onion rings were indistinguishable remnants of the other food from the dirty fryer grease. I want to add that the manager decided to leave the huge front doors wide open on the coldest night of the fall. It made the restaurant patrons uncomfortable in their seats and the staff was wearing their winter coats. Maybe the manager thought this might attract more customers I guess. This is a terrible excuse for a restaurant that obviously makes it money as a bar. I don't blame the staff. I blame the management / owners for running this place poorly. We had a party of 10 for a bday dinner today. Drinks were good and the server was attentive yet overworked (needs to ask everyone if they need a drink 1x and not back and forth etc). The food was actually pretty bad. Three people had steaks and all but one were like hockey pucks. Cheese pizza was decent according to the kids. Two orders of vamp tacos had me and my brother wishing we got something different. The rice served was disgusting and the cheese on the outside was burnt and hard. If the reason. They are called vamp tacos is because it kept poking our mouths with burned cheese then you named it right. Good drinks though but it was a miss for most of the group. The Yard House in Las Vegas is amazing. I had a less than stellar experience. Our service was sub parr. Our server must of not had his stuff together this night. We was very lax in taking our orders. Bringing water..drinks..cheese..to go boxes ect. To top it off...We asked for Cappuccino and his response was sure if someone knows how to make it. My response was what exactly does that mean. He said, well they never taught me how to do it. I can bring you a drink with warm milk in it??? Huh? Excuse me? Listen buddy fake the funk if you have too. Then no sugar and no spoon. Have been here several times over the last two summer's, but tonight it smelt like a swamp sitting at the bar. The couple beside me thought it was the dishwasher, but it turns out, the barman says it's the drains. NASTY, if you're going to drop $50 here in near future I suggest you request an outside table. Had a great visit to the yard house for a guys night out. The beer selection is great. Love that they carry Weihenstephaner (my favorite beer). What makes Yard house great is their food selection is equally appealing. There are so many dishes that pair well with beer and are good even if you don't like beer. At this location we had the fried cheese curds which came with 2 creative dipping sauces. I went with the fish and chips which were beer battered. These were great and a really reasonable price. Once again the dipping sauces made this dish stand out. There was a jalapeno tartar sauce and a malt vinegar aioli which I used for the fries. I would definitely get this again. This experience was so good I went back to another yard house and the food was just as good. The atmosphere is lively (loud) and feels almost like a night out in the city. Let's just say it a bread, onion strings and cheese sandwich with a sprinkle tiny pieces of cubed steak. Definitely not worth the $16 they are charging. Imagine if ordered the chicken cheesesteak version that's $1 cheaper. Ugh, I've always like it here but it's definitely not the same. Not sure if I'd come back. Not a bad restaurant, but the location definitely doesn't do it any favors. It's in the corner of a fancy outdoor shopping mall. Parking is usually a nightmare if you want to park close by - otherwise you need to park in a parking garage which I hate doing. It's also really expensive I feel.. Good food and drink but I feel like there are other spots in the area that might be more convenient. Dealing with the traffic and crummy parking is definitely a bummer. read more

This rating is for the food. I've been there twice in the past week. 1st time crispy brussel sprouts and potatoes, sesame chicken & noodles. 2nd time mushroom and pepperoni pizza. One common theme, salt and oil. Really disappointed. The noodle dish had the consistency of Chinese food in Chinatown at 2 am, slid right down. The Brussels sprout dish was just an oily mess, although the side sauce was decent. The pizza dough was soaked in oil. Very much disappointed with the service. Stopped by today to spend some time on the patio (there were several people sitting outside). Yet the hostess refused to serve outside due to low demand in people willing to be seated there. She told us that all the waiters were busy inside. So we had to go to a different place to enjoy today's weather. 20-30 minutes after we were passing by the patio and it was literally packed with people. The hostess has ruined our evening because she didn't want to bother the waiters who are supposed to serve outside. Ridiculous. read more

I visited with a large large party of 20 to celebrate a memorable occasion. We were seated fairly quickly, the food was prompt and Frank delivered it accurately with a smile. He even made sure to ask our table if there were any allergies that he needed to be aware of. After sitting, mingling and eating for a while, the dirty dishes were removed and drinks were replenished. We didn't feel rushed at all despite the crowded dining area and the line forming at the door. I'll definitely visit Yard House again for the great atmosphere and even better perfectly priced happy hour apps. read more

Came here with friends last week for lunch. Super nice location, right in the middle of Legacy Place, next to King's bowling alley. The restaurant itself is extremely clean and has a good atmosphere. We decided to sit outside because it was such nice weather outside. I ordered the rice bowl which was really good. The lunch size was perfect as I was not that hungry, but I'd definitely recommend the larger size if you want more than just one scoop of rice with chicken and veggies on top. My friend ordered the red quinoa salad bowl and specifically asked for the cheese to be swapped out for avocado, as she is vegan. However, when her meal arrived, there was cheese and no avocado. Upon asking for a swap, it appeared that the salad given back to her had remnants of cheese, as it was just scooped out and avocado was thrown onto the top. This would not have been a big deal, had she not been charged extra for this. In addition, they had forgotten multiple ingredients in the salad, perhaps due to a shortage in the kitchen, but none of which were mentioned to my friend before she received her meal. Other than the food, the service was quite average. We were outside so our table was neglected at most times, our water cups barely refilled. The help seemed to be semi-personable, it would just be better to have more attention. It appeared as if all people sitting outside felt the same way. read more
