I attended an event at this hotel last year, and the food and drink (from One Bistro) were pretty good, so I returned to try it in January. It was achingly cold outside, and the bar was absolutely packed, so I was seated in a somewhat remote corner. I ordered a mojito, but they were out of mint, so I chose a scotch, and immediately ordered an onion soup to start, which was decent, but not as hot as I would have liked, and the broth was a bit one dimensional (clearly, it was made too quickly without the complexity of caramelized onions). I soon learned that the particular seafood entrees (2 in particular) were sold out, and I ended up with a salad (kind of unremarkable, but again, not inedible). The problem is that I ended up abandoned by the waitress, so no desserts, no additional drinks, and no check. I literally had to wander about the restaurant for at least 5 to 10 minutes just to ask for someone (anyone!) to bring me a check, which eventually arrived. On my way out, I told the hostess that they should try to keep an eye on patrons, as (if I were not of some moral principles) one could simply leave without paying. Her classic response was "yeah, we're real busy." I refrained from telling her "all the more reason to keep a watchful eye," as it was clear she wasn't listening. read more

We love this place! We end up at the this Sheraton every year for business and we love the whole place in general. The service here is exceptional and the staff is really nice. Usually when you dine at a restaurant that's in a hotel it's pretty disappointing, but this is an enjoyable experience! The food here is really pretty good! I've noticed that people love their pizza and the fish and steak dishes. Their Caesar salad is absolutely and you can add your choice of protein if you like. They also have homemade bread that is brought to the table....i don't normally eat bread, but I just can't resist this, especially the cranberry bread! The burger is also good, and the fries are great, and don't forget about the French onion soup! We don't even leave the hotel when we're working here, we just head down to One Bistro. French onion soup was delicious. I had a special which was a bone-in statler chicken breast with balsamic glaze served with mashed potatoes and carrots. My husband had the 5oz filet that came with a crab cake, Bernaise sauce and chopped potatoes. We finished with the molten lava cake with vanilla bean gelato for dessert. Service was good. Everything was delicious with the exception of the molten lava cake. It had an odd chemical taste to it. We would definitely eat here again. read more

When you go to brunch here the first thing they do is give you a basket of DELICIOUS PASTRIES. Like a bread basket but much more delightful. We don't make it here much because Brunch starts at 11 and we've usually eaten well before then, but it's such a treat to go here. The restaurant is very pretty and the outdoor area is pleasant too for the summers. Recently we had the Benedict and the vegetarian benedict. The vegetarian benedict was on sourdough, with guacamoli and heirloom tomatoes. It was really wonderful. They will make you a good espresso too. The early bird menu from 4 -5:30 is fun if you can catch it. It's a $25 prixe fixe menu. It's three courses. We haven't gotten it recently so I can't vouch for the current line up - but when we have gone the food was really wonderful. We don't get here very much but it's always really delicious when we do. read more

An absolute MUST! The cuisine is phenomenal and we were blessed with a fantastic server. Each plate has unique items, which offer a nice change from your traditional chain restaurant - while still featuring some classics. Crab cakes, seafood chowder (best soup I've ever tasted) & Grilled Atlantic Salmon with salsa verde and caramelized fennel. I'd gladly visit again. It's fancy enough for a nice night out but casual enough to accommodate a business/travel dinner. There is dedicated parking for the restaurant and it's naturally lit space. First time dining here - we went for brunch on a Sunday. First impression was bad - the hostess was very rude to us and the menus she handed to us were so old and beat up - we thought about just leaving. But our server came by and he was pleasant - so we stayed. I had an omelette and my friend had the breakfast with eggs any way and bacon. Food itself was good. Portion size was generous. Pastries provided were a nice treat. I hope management sees this and takes steps to address first impressions - because I would have rated this much higher had that been positive. read more

I have always had a great meal and drinks at One Bistro. Sad to say i had the chicken Parm with fettucine and it was so bland almost like it was a frozen cutlet without much sauce. I also asked if I could have a side salad as i cannot eat Pasta. The upcharge was 7$. The Chicken Parm was 26$, I told the waitress it was not very good and did not want to take it home. pricey and slow, ugh, i think you can do better. so despite me loving the property, the on site restaurant left something to be desired. granted it also we were not your typical clientel, but really, that shouldnt stop any good service from happening. we timed it (by accident) for a shift change, no worries, i get it. well when we were handed off, idk where my order went, but i asked for it to come out asap, and 40 minutes later (across that change we spoke about) there it was. no complaints food wise, it was a tasty burger! they were ready to take my plate 4 minutes after it was dropped, no doubt due to the locals coming in for their 4pm roast, again, idk, but the olds love this place i guess! expensive as only a hotel restaurant can be, which is too bad since this is right on rt 1 and there are SOOOO many options, you do you. more like 2 (star) bistro, right? read more

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. The food and staff have been amazing in the past, but they've taken my favorite items off their menu so I haven't been back too often. My favorite was the cheese tortellini with grilled vegetables, and I would add chicken. They have phenomenal cranberry bread which I highly recommend, as well as good white bread to start, but once you try that cranberry bread, nothing quite compares. The staff has always gone above and beyond regarding special requests when available. I spoke to a manager that they took my favorite meals off the menu and they offered to make something similar since they didn't have the same ingredients in stock. Their customer service is fantastic and I have had a great experience with wait staff, bartenders, and managers over the years. I'm sure the photos posted don't include all of the delicious meals I've had here, but all of their food is higher quality than what you'd expect and I can guarantee you will leave more than satisfied. Great bread, caesar salad, shrimp spring rolls, burgers, seafood risotto, special order chicken parm with grilled chicken, veggies, and desserts. Food or lack of. Ate there today, September 17th. Ordered seared scallops entree. When the plate arrived it had 4, I said 4 small scallops. The menu also said said roasted root vegetables. They were steamed and inedible. I substituted fries for mashed potatoes. I complained to the manager and his reply was that the plate makes a better presentation with the mashed. What does that have to do with 4 measly scallops? Others in our party were not impressed. Never eat in hotel restaurants, especially this one. read more

This is one of our local places, and is a staple. The food is consistently well done, one of my favorite options being the chicken parmesan. For those of you who like bread, their bread basket here is great (and we usually get a second round!). The service is sometimes mediocre, but it's honestly a toss up depending on the night/capacity in the restaurant. If there is a wedding or event at Gillette down the street, it can get kind of crazy for a bit, but otherwise it's a fantastic local spot. The décor is nice and upscale modern, but not overly fancy. This can be a quick Saturday night dinner spot or a fancy celebratory dinner spot, it's a very versatile option! Overall, a classic and is worth a try if you're considering it! read more

We have been patrons of One Bistro since they opened in 2002. The food is always fresh and tasty. Today we came in for a midafternoon lunch and I can't say enough about the One Bistro wings. I love their smoky sweet taste! I also love that they are dry rubbed and then you can add your own sauce. I had the fall salad which was wonderful and my mom had the turkey sandwich with fries. Good burger with a great bartender. The one bistro Burger was your typical bar food burger (medium rare) with accompanying fries. Service was quick and the choices of beer although limited, was a decent mix. The bartender was generous with her pores and provided good conversation throughout the night. My husband and I and two other couples came to One Bistro last Saturday for lunch. These are long-time friends of ours who we don't see often enough. While I had never been here, one of the couples lives nearby and suggested we meet here. Overall, it was a great choice. This is a very pretty restaurant in the Sheraton Four Point Hotel. You can access the restaurant directly from the outside or through the hotel lobby. There is a huge parking lot surrounding the property. When we arrived, there were several couples and groups of others but there were still plenty of open tables. So it was quite odd when the host seated us directly adjacent to a table of 4. We were literally wedged in beside this other table and the wall. Two of the 3 men (including my husband) are well over 6 feet tall and immediately I knew this table wouldn't do. I went back to the host and asked if we could move and pointed to another table with plenty of room around it. He was very accommodating but why didn't he anticipate that the first table was the wrong choice in a room full of empty tables? After that rough start our server approached. He was lovely throughout, had a nice sense of humor and was very helpful. The lunch menu is varied with meat, seafood and veggie options, hot and cold mains, soups, salads, sandwiches, and burgers. Literally something for everyone. I was tempted to go with a soup, half sandwich and salad combo but I was convinced to try the fish and chips by the couple who had been here before. The husband in that duo was also ordering the fish and chips. Two of the others ordered steak tips that came with mashed potatoes and asparagus, two others ordered Reuben sandwiches. The restaurant has a full bar. I had seltzer with cranberry juice and lime, two others had beer, someone else had a pumpkin something or other cocktail and others had just water. When my fish and chips came out I was surprised by the ample size of the order and also by just how dark beige everything was. It was a monochromatic plate and that never appeals to me. The plate really needed something green on it and in hindsight, I wish I had ordered a small salad. But note to kitchen staff: add something fresh and green to the fish and chips plate...the visual is too weird as it currently stands. The fish (cod) was quite good. It was nicely fried but yet the fish remained moist and was very fresh tasting. I was disappointed in the "chips"...these were not typical chips (fries) but rather quarter slices of potato that had literally been overly fried. They were dark brown and "heavy" and not the light, thin French fries I had been expecting. I tasted them but did not eat them. The two who ordered the steak tips enjoyed their meals although unlike my big plate of food, they thought the portion of steak was quite skimpy. But they were cooked as ordered and apparently tasted delicious. The two others with the Reuben sandwiches enjoyed those as well. We looked at the dessert menu but nothing appealed; in reality I think most of us were just too full. We all talked up a storm and when we finally took a breath we noticed that everyone else was gone from the restaurant. Clearly, no one rushed us which was nice. I am sure they were eager to clear off our table though to get ready for dinner service but we felt welcomed to stay. Despite having had some disappointment with my dish, this was a lovely venue for the six of us to get together with a menu that has something on it for most. One Bistro is a very popular establishment inside the Four Points Sheraton in Norwood. So the location is prime, however the I cannot say the same thing about the menu offerings. Nothing about dinner we were served was delicious. He had the chicken parm, which consisted of under done noodles and an overcooked chicken cutlet. I had the shrimp scampi. The shrimp lacked flavor and the sauce was oily and totally relied on the over use of garlic as a vehicle for flavor. The only thing we found enjoyable was the dessert. The peach Gallant was a fried piece of pastry stuffed with ginger spiced peaches and topped with vanilla gelato. It's one thing that I will remember this place for. We love One Bistro and have been going there for years. The food and service are always excellent but we were extremely disappointed with our brunch experience today. The service today was subpar at best. Clearly, the restaurant was understaffed and it showed. We had to frequently request coffee and water refills. Two of our entrees were a little under cooked and had to be replaced. We waited about 20 mins for one entree to be corrected. The waitress never asked if we wanted dessert at the end of the meal. She just brought the check and left all of the dirty dishes sitting there. I live out of town and we always make it point to go to One Bistro when visiting family. I really think the food here is just terrible... i was there may 28th 2022 I ordered a hamburger and it was like biting into a salt shaker... the staff was very nice except the OLD LADY with the round glasses was a RUDE B-t-ch.. don't plan on ever going back May 23... I went back to the bistro for another awful meal...
