So we were staying the night for a very early appointment in Denver and Modern Market was connected to the hotel. We had had a long day and we're tired and just wanted to do some takeout.. I actually got the Buddha bowl and added avocado. It was delicious! As always! My friend got the green chicken chili and a small pizza with extra cheese and bacon. The green chicken chili is a little bit spicy just depending on your spice level, but it has good flavor... the pizza was just OK. I do recommend this place because I love the freshness of their food! And I do always go back! Service was good and fast! And the restaurant itself was very clean! I always like that! read more

This review is purely for the fact that Modern Market has cookies that are gluten free, vegan, and delicious. There are two flavors - chocolate chip and oatmeal cranberry. According to the website, they are the Sweet Loren's brand, which I know I can buy from the grocery store and bake myself but this is convenient. I received a reward for a free cookie for my birthday and was expecting to get a regular chocolate chip cookie but was pleasantly surprised for this allergy friendly cookie. LOVEE modern market!! The food is so fresh and they really pack it on. The price is a little expensive but they make it worth it !! The vibe and space is so clean and just so fresh. The workers are nice, the cashier wasn't too knowledgeable about the ingredients and such but that's ok! I would definitely recommend trying them out though! My son and I had lunch here with my mom last week and everything was great. The restaurant was as clean and bright and we had no trouble getting a table. My mom had the Urban Farmer salad and said it was delicious. I had the Buddha bowl- definitely my favorite thing from Modern Market so far and what I'll probably eat every time. My son had the tomato basil soup, and while it was a good portion and had good flavor, it is served piping hot- much too hot for a 4 year old, so I don't know if we'll get that again for him. read more

I order the Blueberry Pesto sandwich at least once a week. Today, I ordered it and when I got back to my office, it was so poorly made. Smashed and burned (despite it being a cold sandwich). This restaurant offers a Vietnamese Bahn Mi sandwich. It used to be offered on a French baguette...as all Vietnamese sandwiches have been made throughout history (thanks to colonizers, but that's for another post). I was living in a different city for a few years and when I came back to Colorado, I was looking forward to having that sandwich again. The first time I ordered it after being gone for a while, as I was taking the sandwich out of the bag I noticed that the bread was not the same shape as it used to be. It was ciabatta bread! Which is fine if you don't know that all Vietnamese sandwiches are made on French baguettes. Where did the authenticity go? I ordered it a second time a little while later, thinking the first one was a mistake. It came on the same bread. According to "headquarters" the change was made five years ago! The offered me a $5.00 coupon off my next order. Not my money back on 2 sub-par sandwiches that had bread so stale I couldn't eat it, but $5! Who is buying this sandwich on dry, crusty, ciabatta bread? I will never buy another thing from this restaurant. Sidenote: there's a cute little Vietnamese restaurant right next-door. They probably have a truly authentic bahn mi sandwich. read more

Well balanced and full of flavor. I would definitely go back. It was also pretty filling for just a half of a salad. Upon looking for a healthy restaurant I came across Modern Market Eatery. This is a great option for healthier eating and fast casual dining. I could tell that this eatery was popular because there was a long line to order and most of the tables were occupied. However, it didn't take too long to order and we found a table in the back. The staff I encountered were friendly and we were also acknowledged as we were leaving. I liked the unique menu and the plethora of options for everyone's liking. It was easy to navigate, but hard to make a decision because everything sounded so good. The food was out within ten minutes of us finding a seat. I decided to build my own bowl and went with the herb roasted chicken, garlic mashed potatoes and fire roasted veggies. All of it was good and seasoned just right! The portions were perfect and just enough to fill my appetite. One thing I didn't like was that my food came out lukewarm and kind of cold which leads me to believe that the food isn't made to order. This Modern Market has really gone downhill. Food was pretty tasteless, service was average. And the restaurant was dirty and hadn't been bussed or the tables cleaned. Dirty dishes on tables and the trash and used dishes area was overflowing. Definitely not going back. read more

I placed an order online for several colleagues in my office for pick up at 11:30. I go to get it and wait and wait. Finally I see that my order was randomly canceled. So I had to go up to the register and have them enter the order again. They could not give me a receipt for my expense report. I waited another 30 minutes for my order. When I finally got back to work, I opened the pizza box and I'm pretty sure they forgot to cook it. I won't go back here. Super disappointing. read more

The food was totally fine- I've been to other Modern Market locations before and the food is always pretty consistent. The reason for the low rating is because the woman taking my order at the counter was texting on her phone, while I was trying to order. I even asked questions, and she didn't answer me till she was done typing. It left me feeling like I didn't matter. I get that people would rather socialize than work, but when there's a customer talking to you, please at least pretend like you care? I definitely won't come back to this location. Treat people with a little respect; you don't know how it can affect someone. read more

My friend chose this restaurant and I did not realize until I saw the menu that I had recently been to the one in the Denver area. So knew we needed to order the guacamole which is so unusual with edamame. Only drawback is they do not give you enough chips for the portion of guac. There is no way someone need to request more chips. Had the Turkey burger which was very good. My friends each had different bowls which they enjoyed. One friend had asked if the prickly pear drink was very lime-y and was told no, but it was too tart for her and the server had no issues with replacing it with a green iced tea. Great service. Poor quality. They've managed to screw up both of my orders. 2nd order was when it was dead inside. Cauliflower rice (mushy paste) was seasoned with waaay too much salt and pepper, it way spicy from the black pepper. I love spice and black pepper but this was obviously poor QC. I ordered 2 pieces of salmon on my Buddha bowl and only got one piece. The piece I did get was clearly sitting around for a while, overcooked and dry. This wasn't a fresh piece. I was a chef and know a sandbagged piece of salmon when I see one. This place has no clue what they're doing. Soggy shredded carrots. This review pertains to Modern Market's Catering Services: My company has ordered catering from Modern Market at least 15 times over the last year and they have to be the worst catering company in timeliness that we have ever dealt with. We will no longer be ordering from them. Regardless of my detailed notes in the order, they are constantly either way early with the food (so it just sits there and gets either cold or warm depending on the type of food until our meetings let out), or they are an hour or more late!..... On one occasion, we had to send our group to an offsite restaurant because Modern Market was so late with the food we ordered. This is completely unacceptable. We are a good paying customer with a lot of business for them, however it seems our direct complaints to Modern Market Catering on numerous occasions means nothing, therefore they will no longer be receiving business from us. A good reputable catering company at the very least should DELIVER ON DEMAND!.... not too far before it's needed and certainly not after! The only good experience we have had with Modern Market Catering is that they do have good food but it's not worth it if you can't eat it the way it was intended to be eaten! read more

We used napkins to clean a table while staff were looking at cell phones, sharing what sounded like you tube videos, laughing and swearing. (At TG, you order thru the assembly line, get your tray and pay.) The food was good. All the girls enjoyed their items. I ordered the basil chicken ciabatta sandwich. It was just okay. I'm not a huge fan of ciabatta bread, it's so hard and oversized. I actually had to take the bottom slice off to eat. The chicken was on the dry side. Friends had the combo (pick 2) option.
