We both got the bacon waffle plate -- three pieces each of chicken tenders and bacon waffle with powdered sugar for $17. The chicken tenders were juicy, crispy, and not dry at all. A great meal and the place is ran by friendly folks. They were welcoming to our dog as well. I think we just found a good spot for chicken & waffles in town. I'm really pleased with this spot. I went in the late morning so it was fairly empty which was also nice. Brian helped my friend and I out. We wanted to go halfsies on an OG chicken sandwich and the mom n pop breakfast platter with no potatoes, extra eggs. He suggested we just get the double slider deal instead of the sandwich because it's easier to split in half and eat since they used two tenders on the sandwich instead of one big filet. The food came out and everything looked and tasted perfect. I like that the chicken wasn't overly breaded, overly cooked, or overly crunchy. It was the perfect amount of crunch and tenderness. My husband and I arrived at 7:30pm on a Friday night, note that Mom's serve food until 9pm. As other reviews have noted and I am in agreement - this is not a restaurant this is absolutely a bar, and in my opinion, not appropriate for children during the the evening hours of service. The fried chicken was very good, nice crispy coating and very moist inside - we would rate the chicken a 5! However, the waffles (dusted in powdered sugar) and the syrup are nothing to write home about. We wanted to try the bacon waffles, but they were out. The syrup is literally commercially produced and served in a sealed plastic cup (like something you would find on an airline... or in a bar) - not special or homemade. We rated the waffles a 3 and the syrup a 1. The comedy show we rated as a 4.5 ;-). If we return, it will be all about the fried chicken, possibly try a different chicken menu option... their fries looked good too, but cannot review at this time. read more

In lieu of waffles and chicken tenders this time around, I went for the OG chicken sandwich for $15.99. The sandwich came with a juicy and seriously well fried pair of plump chicken tenders. Not only was it crispy and juicy, but it was well seasoned. Well done! The sandwich came on a lightly toasted soft brioche bun with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, with mayo and chipotle sauce. I met up with some friends here back in June when they first opened inside of U-31. I ordered the chicken and bacon waffle plate and the loaded chicken fries! The chicken and waffle came with 2 buttermilk chicken tenders, a bacon infused Belgian waffle, and butter, and syrup. The waffle could be crispier, but the chicken was huge and tender. My favorite was was the chicken fries though! There were little pieces of fried chicken on top with my sauce choice- honey sriracha! It had a sweet, yet spicy flavor and was very addicting.
