We had a Retaining Wall, Pet Turf area, Putting green/fringe, a main turf area, and concrete walkways put in. We did however had a synthetic turf issue where the turf had imperfections on it, (not caused by Advanced Pavers), Lucy & Edgar handled it professionally working with the manufacturer, the issue was remedied quickly. He is a true professional and stands behind his work. We had 23 sprinkler heads replaced and Tony came by with a really fair offer and showed up when he said he would. The work was done in just a few short hours and he went above and beyond. Tony identified a drip line issue, a sprinkler head that should be moved to another spot, and a tree that needed to be trimmed. He did all three on his own at no charge! My lawn looks fantastic with an even spread. A few weeks later, one of the sprinkler heads snapped and he came by same day and replaced them no charge! That said, there were some issues that detracted from the experience. We observed several crew members urinating in our yard and Tony made light of it so we had to address the workers ourselves to use a bathroom. There was also a miscalculation in the amount of concrete needed; while Tony completed the job at no extra charge using bagged concrete-which we appreciate-the situation could have been handled better from the outset given his level of experience, use a tape measure. Cleanup was a concern. The crew left behind concrete residue on surfaces like the driveway requiring several hours of my time to sweep and scrape. In summary, while the quality of the finished work is good improvements in professionalism, planning accuracy and post job cleanup would make a significant difference in the overall experience. Without these issues he's a solid 4.0/5.0 stars but we had the issues. I also overpaid $50 and my text hasn't been answered. They did not skimp on quality of effort nor quality of work. Like every homeowner project the need for good communication is key to a happy outcome. Steve outshines in this area. He listened to me describe mine and my yard's individual need. I had a nightmare situation of invasive tree roots growing from under the fence from adjoining neighbors excessively thorny trees. The consequence were thorny tree shoots growing throughout my backyard and its sucker branches popping up on every 2-3 inches along the way. It eventually took over my lawn area by 25ft + in every direction. And it was growing longer! This made it impossible to walk on the lawn and enjoy without being stabbed and bloodied by long sharp thorns. I needed these tree roots traced and dug out completely all the way to the fence line before applying new landscaping. Gaspar and Henry did an excellent job of removing each one of these multiple roots by hand digging. Very laborious and yet they handled it well in the hot summer sun and doing a complete and excellent job. They did it quickly and I thank them tremendously. I had to make the hard but wise choice of not re-sodding and no longer having a lawn. Steve was very patient and guided me to the right choices of landscape material that would help me eliminate this problem from reoccurring on my yard. Steve and his crew (Gaspar and Henry) were a blessing and gave me back my yard. Thank you, sincerely. It was a great experience to work with Awaken Landscapes. I would use them again.

I never write reviews, but David did such a great job that I felt compelled to write one. First, David replaced three very old, outdated valves. What I appreciated most was that he took the time to explain what he was doing and how the valves and solenoids work together with the controller as a system. As someone who knows very little about sprinkler systems, I really appreciated the clear explanation. Second, he installed four new sprinklers, one of which was a challenge because of the concrete surrounding the PVC piping. In addition, he replaced eight heads, six risers, and capped one sprinkler. He adjusted every single head across four stations and zones, walked me through each zone, made careful micro-adjustments, and explained how everything worked. Lastly, he left my backyard spotless and looking as good as new. I would not hesitate to work with Mark and David at First Class Irrigation again. Speaking of which, I am thinking of having them convert my sprinkler system into a low-maintenance drip irrigation system with a Rachio controller in the near future. Highly recommended!

I can not speak more highly of Jason and Yard to Fork. He and his team transformed an area of our garden that was overrun with weeds and debris. It is now a gorgeous, thriving and fully functional organic garden! Yard to Fork created and built two custom raised beds for us, as well as a couple barrel planters. They planted amazing summer veggies and fruit, as well as added grape plants that terrace so beautifully. We love our Yard to Fork garden so much that we plan to expand and add more raised beds this coming year. Jason is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his garden craft. In addition to the revitalization of our garden, he has come out to trim 9 of our fruit trees (many citrus, pomegranate, plum, etc) and I've signed up for his garden coaching services. read more

We collected a couple bids but knew after our first meeting with Nathan that we were going to move forward with Roo Landscaping if the estimate came back within budget (it obviously was, and was very fairly priced as well). It was apparent during this initial meeting that he was both extremely knowledgeable and experienced with the work that needed to be done. He answered all of our questions and walked through what the process would look like from start to finish if we were to move forward. He was professional but also super casual and easy to talk to which made interactions enjoyable and productive. Project timeline played out just as he described. We ran into a few unforeseen issues with the yard along the way (as to be expected), but he made sure we chatted through solutions together so that we were well informed and comfortable with what needed to happen. He's got a great crew of guys and stopped by multiple times a day to check in and run through everything. He even spent a couple days working with them on the yard which was awesome to see as the client. Seeing him here and so involved showed that he cared about the work being done well, even on a smaller project like ours. It also helped ensure everything was completed super quick! After doing some research, I found The Grounds Company and decided to reach out -- best decision we made! Sebastian, the owner, is incredibly professional and just an all-around great guy. He came out for a consultation, walked the entire yard with us, and within a few hours we had a clear, itemized estimate that was very reasonable. The breakdown included everything: overgrown weed removal, tree trimming, debris haul-away, and even stump removal. Rain caused a couple of delays, but Sebastian was always quick to communicate and had us rescheduled within days. On the day of service, Sebastian and another crew member arrived earlier than scheduled and got right to work. They worked fast, efficiently, and did a tremendous job transforming the yard. What used to be an overgrown, cluttered mess is now clean, open, and dog-friendly. Our dog was absolutely stoked once the work was done -- the backyard is officially his turf now!
