My girlfriend and I have been members of The NOW for years! long enough that our current membership rate is no longer even available. We genuinely enjoy the brand and have continued supporting it because the experience has usually been consistent and worthwhile. Recently, we had an issue with another NOW location after a massage appointment was cancelled during a stressful emergency involving a chemical spill and mandatory evacuation orders near our home. Even though we cancelled through the app within the required timeframe, that location still removed our credits. After the situation was escalated, the Long Beach team stepped in and handled it with professionalism and care. A team member Brianna contacted us, apologized, listened to what happened, and let us know they would take care of us. That response meant a lot. She let us know that the GM/Owner Jaime knows who we are as long time members. What I appreciated most was that Long Beach did not make us feel like we were just another transaction or hide behind policy. They treated us like loyal members, acknowledged the situation, and worked to make it right. Customer service matters most when something goes wrong, and the Long Beach location showed exactly why we have stayed members for so long. I was in need of one and have been looking for a spot near my work. I booked The Now online for a 50 min massage with an added $20 deep tissue option. Booking was easy and I did like that you can pay in advance online. You can select if you prefer a male or female masseuse and which type of massage you want and the duration. Upon arriving I was given some cucumber water while waiting. My masseuse met with me before to talk about where to focus and preference. I told him I wanted it hard and to focus only on upper back, neck and shoulders. My massage started off pretty soft and I had to ask him twice to go harder. He also didn't really get in there and it definitely was not deep tissue. It was relaxing but my home massager probably does a better job honestly. I've also had much better massages for half the price elsewhere. The massage "rooms" are divided up by fabric. They're still pretty private but you need to stay quiet with your masseuse. The staff is really nice and my masseuse was nice as well. I just wish he hit the spots I needed. After the massage I was given more water and checking out was easy since I had already paid. I just tipped. Parking can be found in the lot. It's 2 hours complementary. The Now is located on the first floor in 2nd & PCH and is directly across from Boba Guys.

Will definitely come back as they are decently priced and have many different options. Great vibe in the waiting room with some cool stuff to look at. They also has some cool massage products to buy with some weird names but still...reason they don't get 5 stars is they need to work on their booking system and actually honor times that are being booked. Lol But omggg I had a massage last night and my upper back, lower back and actually allll the back has been hurting so bad since having my most recent baby and the epidural. Sijay worked her magic and I am hurting in the best way today. Lol you know that good sore you get when you have the best leg day in the gym? That's the comparison. She literally worked out all the knots, and while I'm a little sore today...I feel so much better and my back feels so loose.
