The pita was soft and held the ingredients together well. The overall taste was a mix of flavorful meat and fresh ingredients, an excellent representation of what a gyro should be. The Taste of Crete sampler provided a quick culinary tour of Crete, with gyro meat, a salad, hummus, and a cucumber salad. It even comes with a piece of baklava for dessert. Again, the gyro meat was very good, the pita fresh and soft, and the salad fresh and crisp. The cucumber salad was refreshing on a reasonably warm day. The hummus was amazingly good.
