Beautiful setting and great service. The food: Spanish Mackerel was really good. 5/5 Albacore was above average 3.5/5 Soft shell Crab was disappointing. The batter was very crispy so it was fried right. The batter was pretty tasty. I just barely got any crab flavor. It felt a lil more like fried batter w/ a sprinkle of crab. Additionally, it was $10, which was the happy hour pricing. I was not happy 2.5/10. Overall, I'm going to give this place 3.49; the price and the crab kept me from a 3.5 which would've round up to 4. I still think it's worth trying and I'll probably try again.

The sashimi here was impressively fresh and generously cut -- thick, clean slices with a natural sweetness, especially the white fish, which was delicate and flavorful. The Pink Roll was also a highlight: the spicy tuna filling was well-seasoned without being overpowering, and the salmon on top was rich, buttery, and practically melted on the tongue. We also tried the mini seafood bowl, which turned out to be one of the best surprises of the meal in terms of value. It includes tender, sinew-free toro and two beautiful pieces of uni -- fresh, creamy, and sweet with no briny aftertaste, clearly a higher-quality selection. The bowl also comes with a lightly sweet, soy-seasoned nori rather than plain seaweed, which adds an extra layer of flavor when wrapping the rice and seafood together. For $25, it feels exceptionally fair for the quality and ingredients you're getting. The interior has more of a casual, cozy izakaya atmosphere -- warm, lively, and relaxed -- the kind of place where you can unwind, share plates, and chat comfortably with friends over drinks. It feels welcoming and authentic rather than upscale or formal, and the vibe suits the restaurant very well. Service started off friendly and attentive -- we were seated quickly, our orders came out fast, and the staff checked in regularly. However, toward the end of the meal, the pacing shifted. Even though it was only around 8:15 p.m. (and the restaurant closes at 9), we were asked multiple times whether we were ready to pay, and our table was cleared fairly early. It created a subtle sense of being rushed, which took away from what had otherwise been a very pleasant dining experience. For three items, our total came to about $80 before tax, which does place it on the pricier side -- and portions aren't especially filling. That said, the quality is undeniable, and I'd love to return during their weekday Happy Hour (before 4:00 p.m.), where the value seems much stronger with $28 rolls and a wider range of small plates. Delicious food, fresh seafood, and a cozy izakaya vibe -- I just wish the end-of-service pacing felt a little less rushed.

I have been coming to this place for 15 years and the food never disappoints! It's always fresh and yummy. If you're looking for a good sushi spot this is your place! I recommend all of the lunch specials, spicy tuna salad, baked mussels, spicy tuna crispy rice, Cucamonga roll and the Cherachi bowl is one of my favorites!

Yatai Sushi is definitely a spot I'll be returning to. Even though they seemed a bit short-staffed during my visit, the service was still very attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself was clean, and the food had really great flavor overall. I ordered the 911 roll, which originally came without eel sauce, but that was easily fixed with a side of eel sauce. The tempura udon hit the spot--warm, comforting, and delicious. I also tried the chicken cutlet; it came drenched in spicy mayo, which I wasn't expecting since the menu didn't specify it came with that sauce. I personally prefer katsu sauce, but once I asked for a side of it, I was good to go (and honestly, I was hungry enough that I still ate it!). Overall, this place has solid food and great potential. I'll definitely be back to try more dishes--and next time, I'll make sure to specify what sauces I do or don't want.

    Lunch Bento - double yakisoba

Love this place! I came here with my family today for lunch. I got the lunch bento special with double yakisoba (my fav!) and my family had lunch sushi specials and lunch chirashi special. Yakisoba was just like the authentic yakisoba I had a very long time ago, sushi and sashimi were so fresh and delish, and the tempuras were excellently crunchy. The portions were just about right and the waitresses were very polite and nice. The place reminds me of the real cozy japanese sushi places in Japan. Glad we found this place!

I had sashimi here today and unfortunately experienced severe stomach pain and diarrhea afterward that lasted the entire day. Food safety and freshness are extremely important for raw fish, so I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and improves quality control.

My third time going to this restaurant and it gets better every time. They have a black cod nigiri they just introduced and IT MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH! You absolutely need to try it! Eel nigiri is always amazing, and the sashimi is super fresh. Mackerel nigiri was also amazing as well! The waiters were very attentive and refilled my water promptly. You can tell they care about your experience. Great spot for a date night. Why? Food is so good and authentic, the vibes are so cute with their updated decor and their curated list of sakes are amazing. We had Dassai 45 sake -- absolutely recommend! Definitely a MUST TRY if you live around here. I drove 1.5 hours to eat here so if you love anywhere closer than that, what are you doing? You need to come here.

Yatai Sushi is undoubtedly one of the best Sushi Restaurants in the Inland Empire metropolitan area. Located in Thomas Winery Plaza, this small but cozy venue offers creative sushi rolls, plus wine, beer, and sake, with happy hour specials. The inside of this place is clean, well-decorated, and intimate for a perfect date night. Their sushi rolls are so good and fresh. The freshness of their sushi rolls is highly impressive. I personally love their Shrimp Tempura, Tiger Roll, Golden Roll, Las Vegas Roll, Creamy Roll, and Shrimp Tempura Udon. Each piece is prepared fresh, and anyone could really taste it in every bite. The fish is always very fresh, melting in the mouth in no time and full of flavor. Although the prices are on the higher end, it seems that Yatai pays attention to using fresh ingredients, which makes the overall experience quite satisfying. People who work here are very friendly, humble, and cooperative. If you're looking for a sushi place that emphasizes freshness, Yatai Sushi is definitely worth a visit!

One of the worst sushi restaurants I have probably been to! The food was lower than mediocre, it just didn't taste fresh and the rolls were kind of mushy on the inside. For example, the suma roll had brown mushy avocado inside and a soggy piece of shrimp tempura. The imitation crab also had too much mayo mixed in. The "roll" ended up being a random protein style burrito looking roll. There was also a random leaf that kind of looked like it was found from outside. The tiger and rainbow roll were mediocre but still didn't seem to use too fresh of seafood. Lastly, the shrimp tempura portion was not very good -- there were three small looking pieces and it wasn't really fried well either. The vegetable tempura portion and quality also wasn't good at all. Seemed like it was frozen grocery store bought tempura to be honest. Service was okay, they didn't come too often until we almost finished the food and then kept asking us if we wanted a to go box even though we were still eating. I don't think I'll be coming back. I'd rather try soup n' fresh which is just next door. On the plus side, there is plenty of space in the parking lot!

An honor roll celebration and our Valentines Sushi tradition brought my daughter and I in yesterday. We loved the Yellowtail Carpaccio, Melting Albacore, Spider Roll and a few others. Everything was delicious and my daughter commented twice on how cute it was inside. We had such a nice time and it was fun they have Ramune to order too!! I had been here once years ago and was happy to come back, it's as good as I always remember. Everyone was so nice and we even ran into some church friends my daughter had just met at camp while we were there, too!!

Are they open for ayce since others are opening indoor?

No but they have half priced sushi.

Are they open for ayce now?

    No, take out orders only.

How much are there California rolls?

    $8ish

Is there a kids price for AYCE?

    No.

So I combed through the entire menu. WHEN is Happy Hour?

They have happy hour all day Monday-Thursday

Do they offer all you can eat?

Yes they do , but they have rules to it , if you're eating with someone that's not having all you can eat you can't share or you or they will be charged ,and if you can't finish or waste any you'll get charged for that , I think most sushi places…

Do they serve anything else besides sushi, like chicken , for those non sushi eating people?

They do have teriyaki chicken and some miso soup and green salad.

The rolls came very saucy, and most plates had an aesthetic appearance. Personally, if I were to ever revisit this location, I'd only order the garlic noodles w/ shrimp & the nigiri. For this review, I will focus on the Lobster Tail Roll ($36), Gyoza ($14), and Monaka Ice Cream ($7). I arrived at Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) on Sunday (around 12:50PM). Parking is very easy. The lot is HUGE. I had a reservation for 1PM, but a reservation felt superfluous since the restaurant was VERY empty. Throughout the entire dining experience, I only noticed one other group arrive. Staff is the HIGHLIGHT! Staff (receipt says JoJo) was the MAIN superstar. JoJo charmed the table; JoJo maintained a professional, kind demeanor; and JoJo worked very hard. JoJo gave excellent recommendations, and JoJo maintained a friendly, bright smile throughout our visit. Regarding food, it felt inconsistent. The food in the beginning was plated elegantly and carefully. However, as time progressed, it felt like the kitchen was beginning to rush despite the lack of customers. Food arrived very slowly, and later plates looked a little splattered and untidy. Thankfully, most of the food was very good. It's a journey of texture, fresh ingredients, and light & bright flavors. The Lobster Tail Roll ($36) had fried lobster bits, asparagus, avocado, masago, eel sauce, and mayo. It tasted like a vegetable roll at times. The Gyoza ($14 - 6 Piece) was panfried with seasoned pork and vegetables. Tasty!! And the Monaka Ice Cream ($7) is tiny with Macaroon Shell and a small scoop of Green Tea Ice Cream. All in all, these dishes didn't feel special, but they were prepared well enough. On ambiance, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is very attractive. The location is dimly lit, very clean, and spacious. However, the music is awkward at times. There were moments where light, lovely music was playing... only for random yelling music to briefly appear... to then suddenly be replaced with a country-style song. It all felt surreal. I don't think it was intended, but I think their music playlist was accidentally switched to the wrong track. Overall, Kuwada (Rancho Cucamonga) is an interesting experience. Honestly, the only reason this review is "5 Stars" is because our waitress was EXEMPLARY. Although the ambiance and cooking staff was lackluster, the front of house is MAGIC. This is a not bad, pricey place. 4.5 out of 5

I called to let them know and they were completely understanding! When we arrived, we were greeted and seated promptly. Waters were brought to the table quickly as well. The decor in this place is amazing! They were also playing really good music! We started with the combination carpaccio which was perfect because we each got to try the tuna, salmon and yellowtail. It was delicious! Then we ordered the Surf & Turf roll which is spicy crab and coconut shrimp, topped with seared Wagyu, truffle oil yuzu, and eel sauce--absolutely incredible! Next was the Kuwada roll which is crab, avocado and tempura flakes, topped with baked lobster, eel sauce, and masago. The presentation on this one was extraordinary--and the flavor was amazing! Finally we finished with the Shrimp Lover Roll which is crab shrimp tempura and cucumber, topped with shrimp, avocado, spicy mayo, and eel sauce--another winner! Jojo did an excellent job serving and clearing plates, as well as keeping our water filled! This place is a treasure and I can't wait to go back!
