My eldest daughter and I came to Sake 2 Me Sushi at Foothill Crossing in Rancho Cucamonga for a late night sushi dinner. It was our first time visit here. Lots of free parking available. We were greeted and seated right away after entry. Lots of inside seating either at the bar or tables. FYI They no longer have the AYCE option. However, they do offer 30% off selective items. Menu has many great selections. Prices were reasonable. I was surprised they don't have the chirashi bowl. We opted for Combo A Sashimi with 12 pieces of regular fishes... we got 4 salmon, 4 tuna, 4 yellow tail. Salmon and yellow tail were very fresh, but the tuna did not appear to be the freshest. Good size cuts though. We also got a separate 5 pieces of salmon sashimi. We love salmon! So good!! Along with the sashimi, 1 Cucumber Special Roll (no rice), 1 Rainbow Roll, plus 1 Seaweed Salad were also ordered. I know... it was quite a huge late night sushi dinner. We left full for sure and a little bit to take home. Rainbow Roll was in good portion and tasted amazing... I would order this again. Seaweed Salad was delicious... a must get to complement with sushi and sashimi! Cucumber Special Roll was just okay for me... I didn't get the WOW factor from it. I think the cucumber and the rest of the roll just don't go too well together... maybe it's the water from the cucumber... not really sure. Staff was friendly, quite attentive, and provided excellent service throughout. They made our dining experience exceptionally pleasant. Thank you! We may be back to try their other specialty rolls and get more salmon.

The service here is unlike anywhere and it's in some random spot in Rancho??? Forget kabuki at Victoria gardens, come here for amazing sushi. Big cuts, good flavors and melt-in-your-mouth fish. The salmon literally felt like a cloud. And the BAKED ROLLS??? They were so fragrant!!! And crispy!!! I've never had a baked roll this good. I want to give a shout out to Imelda and Henry who were so sweet. Imelda saw us saying grace before food and waited before placing down the plates which was so insanely respectful and unnecessary but she waited anyway. The restaurant also had two birthdays and Henry could literally be a hypeman or dj. He even got me cheering for a random birthday. The service here was such a vibe. I can't recommend this place enough 10/10. Good food, no wait, amazing service. I'll be back

Best sushi ever and very affordable!! We go when we are craving good sushi! Customer service is amazing they always make sure you are doing well and are super friendly!

Came in on a Thursday around 1. It wasn't too busy and there was only one server. The service was good, we were sat quickly and helped right away. The food didn't take too long to come out and it was pretty great. I ordered a Golden roll and a veggie roll. They were both yummy. I had never had a veggie roll with asparagus in it, I thought that was kinda fun. The golden roll was good but the cream cheese inside or maybe something else did make the shrimp tempura inside get a little mushy- but that's ok it's to be expected with the moisture from the cream cheese. Over all really good. My husband got a pork katsu meal, some salmon roll, and an avocado roll. He said the rolls were excellent and the pork katsu plate was good his only complaint was at how little sauce they originally gave him for the pork katsu meal and that the salad they brought out had no dressing originally- We had to ask for some. But again over all great. For whatever reason when we went it was 30 percent off so we paid about 60 dollars which we felt was reasonable. I would come again, but my husband prefers Area 909 Sushi still so we'll see if I'll be able to come back

The novelty of a smooth, earthy and hoppy Matcha IPA, three skilled chefs behind the sushi counter, and the availability of fresh odori ebi make this establishment worth a visit.

ORDER (5/5) holt roll , crawfish roll , jessica roll , spicy rainbow all were so yummy! the texture of the fish was smooth and they were not skimpy on the crawfish at all. they also start you off with edamame. the rolls are all 30% off as well, but a 15% gratuity fee is automatically added. will definitely come back. SERVICE (5/5) such a welcoming environment HAHA. our servers were very nice and accommodating. the rolls came out quickly as well. AMBIANCE very spacious inside!

Been coming here for years and decided it was time for another review. Service continues to be outstanding as always. We have never had a bad experience. The staff is attentive and quiet ambiance. I will say looks like portions got smaller and they are using more rice and cream cheese than before. We visited on a Saturday and they had 30% off rolls.

Tried mango roll and California roll. The rolls were beautiful, nice presentation. Quick service.

Came here for a second time and found the food and service just as excellent as my previous visit. One important note I learned is that if you ask, there are other items that you can get that is not on the main menu. We were lucky to be treated with some tuna head meat, a delicacy and not always available ... the cheek meat was specially delicious. And so was the halibut sashimi but my attention this time went to the Minispoon. It's a small dish of rice, uni, salmon eggs, and seaweed. Somehow, it felt amazingly satisfying to create my own uni sushi with the desired portion of ingredients. Also, I found out later when a table nearby requested the $50 omakase special that the chef makes for the regulars. I will definitely come back to try it out because the variety and qunatity was very generous.

As a sushi/sashimi lover, I enjoy discovering hidden sushi bars. I heard of Sake 2 Me sushi restaurant before but never tried it. Finally I got to try out this place in Ranch Cucamonga (although this place was bit far from my house, a friend recommended this specific location). We started off with some garlic edamame and small tempuras and oh boy, one of the best garlic edamame I've had! The oysters were also very fresh and clean. I also have to mention that the presentation of the dishes were like a piece of art! I had to complement the head chef Ricky for the beautiful work he made for us!! Their salmon and tuna were so fresh and fatty too. I was too busy eating that I kept forgetting to take photos of them and left with only three photos haha!

    Khoa H.

FYI - no more 50% Rolls. It's 30% now. Still no AYCE. Got our sushi fix. Great staff as usual.

Sake 2 Me Sushi Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Sake 2 Me Sushi

Are they doing ayce as of 6/29/22?

No I just visited last weekend and they have it posted on the door too.

Are the special rolls 50% off like the Sake 2 Me in Montclair?

Yes they are. Not sure for how much longer but you can also order 50% off on togo orders as well

    Is it currently ayce?

    No it's currently not available

So they still have all you can drink and eat sushi?

    No they do not

Hows the business open? Do they offer dine- in now? Do they still offer 50% off special roll in weekend?

Yes they do offer indoor and outdoor seating. And it's walk up only no reservations. And they offer 50% off all week I believe. But it's only certain roles they no longer have all you can eat.

Are they doing all you can eat right now?

No 50% off all special rolls

Where can I get a current menu? All pictures posted of menus are 3+ years old.

I was just there took a picture of the menu . Look under the pictures under menu !

Are they still doing AYCE now that dine-in is outside?

    No AYCE

Do they still have the 50% take out special?

    Yes 12/4 they are

Is it still ayce sushi and drinks?

Sure is! Just had the AYCE sushi and drinks last week.

    Do they have teriyaki chicken?

Yes they do. Most of the non sushi eaters that join me order this along with gyozas (fried dumplings) and they love it.

I heard now you guys have all you can eat and drink, is that true? If so, how much and what times?

Yes they do! It's 30 plus tax. Comes with standard all you can eat and unlimited draft beer and unlimited hot sake. Not sure if they'll have this deal permanently but it's been going on for a few months now and is still going on. It's all day… Read more

The hostess who seated us, however, seemed a little inexperienced and awkward with customer service, which made the first impression slightly off. The food itself was tasty and fun to share with a group. It didn't feel particularly authentic Japanese, but the specialty rolls had creative flavors and were perfect for trying different bites with everyone at the table. The biggest surprise was the cake at the end -- unexpectedly delicious and honestly one of the highlights of the meal.

When we arrived, we didn't have a reservation, but the restaurant wasn't full. There were open tables inside and at the bar, yet we were seated right by the entrance. The spot wasn't terrible, but definitely not ideal, and no alternative seating was offered, which was surprising given the availability. The first issue was cleanliness. My chair (a velvet-style seat) was visibly dirty, covered in what looked like powder or residue. I was wearing a short dress, so it was very noticeable. I had to clean it myself and eventually switch chairs. The tables also looked worn out, with poor finishing and no real attention to presentation--just a candle placed on top. The plates where the food was served also looked dirty, which made the whole situation feel even more uncomfortable. Overall, the ambiance felt neglected. Our table wasn't properly set either. It was arranged for two people even though we were three, and we had to ask for additional utensils after the first roll arrived. Throughout the meal, service continued as if we were only two guests. The service itself was okay, but far from exceptional. We had to repeatedly ask the waitress to clear plates as they piled up, and aside from occasional water refills, there wasn't much attentive service. It lacked that level of care you'd expect, especially for the price. As for the food, the presentation of some rolls was decent, but the flavors were underwhelming. Most of the rolls felt very basic, nothing elevated or memorable, especially for the price. The only standout was a roll wrapped in cucumber, which tasted fresh and enjoyable. Also, one piece of salmon with truffle was excellent and gave that "wow" moment. Unfortunately, everything else fell flat. Our bill was around $283 before tip (about $335 total), and for that price point, I expected much more in terms of both service and flavor. I wouldn't recommend this place for celebrations. If you're just curious and want to try it casually, maybe stick to simple sushi pieces rather than rolls. The rolls, in particular, are overpriced for what they offer. Overall, it's not so much about the cost--it's about the mismatch between price, service, and quality. The experience just didn't justify it. While we still enjoyed celebrating my son, the restaurant itself didn't add anything special to the occasion. I wouldn't return.

However, this was the experience. Came in at 9pm. Sat down pretty quickly. Ordered a Philly roll, albacore tuna roll and yellowtail roll. Albacore was the equivalent of canned tuna mixed with some sriracha mayo. Yellowtail had a pungent fishiness to it; most certainly not fresh. Philly roll was the best out of the three, but was loaded with cream cheese. For $6 a roll, I wasn't expecting high quality. But I also wasn't expecting THIS quality either. Grocery store sushi is better. We were ready to order a second dish of edamame, yakitori and a beer. It took 20 minutes for someone to even stop at our table and we continually tried to wave someone down. We eventually placed our second order and also asked for more wasabi. We received our food, but no beer or wasabi. As we bit into the yakitori, it was cold. Like it had been sitting out for a half an hour longer or more. We tell the nice waitress (the only one who was attentive the entire time) it was cold. She brings back the chicken and I notice a skewer is smaller than the rest.. they literally clean cut the piece I bit into and reheated it lol. Our waitress was very nice, but it seemed like she was literally doing all of the work while other wait staff were kind of in lala land. I may try out the regular menu the next time I need some convenient sushi, however I'm not in a hurry to do so. Will update if and when that happens.

They have a full bar area and two sushi bar areas in the restaurant. They can definitely accommodate a large crowd. They have tvs that highlight games and play music which adds a nice touch to the ambiance. Their bench seating in the front dining definitely needs redone. The vinyl like material is cracking and uncomfortable to sit on. Our waiter was great. He was very tentative and kept asking if we were ready, had questions, or needed anything. The sushi even came out pretty quickly. I ordered the double jeopardy hand roll and absolutely loved it. That peppered salmon and albacore is a game changer from the regular fish. It gives it an extra punch of flavor. The vegetable roll was refreshing and light. A nice bright option from the fish. The nigiri eel, peppered salmon, pepper albacore, and salmon were fresh and I appreciate it being nice size slices of fish to rice ratio. I love that all the rolls come as a hand roll option because it's a little smaller portion. I also tried the Halibut but no my favorite. For a premium fish it tasted slimy and had no flavor. The shrimp boats were not good. They were heavily bartered and fried. It was like biting into grease. I also didn't get shrimp from it, more imitation crab than anything. I don't suggest this item unless you enjoy deep fried. FYI, This place can get pretty crowded on the weekends and evening but definitely worth checking out!

Worthy of note, he was not afraid to season things a bit. I mentioned that to him and he said that he was cooking it the way he likes to cook for himself. He used liberal amounts of the teppanyaki flavor arsenal: garlic butter, salt, pepper, and of course, soy sauce. I had the filet mignon. It was delicious and it was cooked to mouth watering perfection. It had a little more pepper on it that I have ever had on my teppanyaki before but I really liked it that way. Others had filet mignon/scallops or New York steak/scallops combos. They all seemed more than happy as well. My entree came with the usual salad and soup.
