My wife, daughter and I went here a few days ago to try a new AYCE sushi spot in Upland near us! We had an incredible time! We walked in the front door for our 6:30 reservation and before we could even say hello the wait staff already had a hi-chair enroute for my daughter. We both did the AYCE and were shocked at the selection and most importantly, freshness of the fish. They didn't charge us anything for my daughter (under 2) and she ate off both of our plates. The space is a beautiful, airy dining space and they give every table a tablet to order food and drinks. Reminded me a little bit of the conveyer belt sushi restaurant chain I've been to before (just no conveyer and the fish was MUCH fresher) The Nigiri was some of the best Nigiri I've had in the IE, maybe LA. Super fresh, and unlimited with the AYCE. We also each ordered a roll and had a hard time finishing them because of just how massive they were. Like other All You Can Eat spots, they charge $2 per uneaten piece - although I don't recall getting charged anything for the 3 pieces we left on the plate. To be honest, I think they just do that to prevent people from having massive amounts of waste, which I understand. I also had a beer and this incredible Yuzu Saki. We had a phenomenal time and can't wait to come back soon!
An absolute hidden gem in Upland! I have been to so many AYCE sushi restaurants throughout LA and IE, and this one is THE BEST!! A MUST TRY!! Every single nigiri sushi was so fresh and full of flavor. The salmon and yuzu yellowtail nigiri were by far our favorites! The rolls were also great and unique combinations. Their appetizers (butterfly shrimp and poke nachos) also tasted very fresh and a nice palate cleanser after devouring so much sushi (the spicy edamame is TOO spicy lol) We were seriously blown away by all of the sushi options and the quality of the sushi! It was hard to believe that this is all AYCE. We left NO leftovers. We came on a Friday afternoon and it was only $29 a person for AYCE. An amazing price for the quality and the options that they offer. The inside is spacious, full of great decor, and the ambiance is very welcoming and modern. I loved how there are plenty of booth areas large enough to fit four people each. You order all on the tablet and the food is quickly brought to the table. Our servers were all great and brought everything we needed to us quickly. Located inside a shopping center, there is plenty of parking.
We went to Z Sushi on a weekday night and there was plenty of seating and parking outside. We liked the ambiance and decorations inside and appreciated having the tablet to order for AYCE. Our server was really nice, he was attentive and checked in to make sure we weren't having issues with ordering. There were barely any pauses during the dinner, sushi was being pumped out and all of them were very fresh. I appreciated the rice to fish ratio, for an AYCE, it's very generous to use a smaller amount of rice so we can try more items on the menu. The handrolls were excellent. Some of the sauced sashimis had almost a Spanish flair/flavor with a lot of smokiness, pepper, and a little bit of spice, it was really good. Overall we were quite impressed by the variety of foods you can order, the quality of the fish, and the speedy great service. Thanks Z Sushi!
First time coming here for the all you can eat lunch special.. For $28.99 it's a pretty amazing deal.. They have a large selection to choose from and everything was so fresh! The lunch special is Monday - Friday till 4pm.. I couldn't say one thing was better than others, everything was pretty consistent. We were immediately greeted by the staff, friendly and quickly seated.. Everything on their menu is digital and easy to read.. This establishment has only been here for 5 months and has a very new industrial look. Clean and modern and the vibe is very chill. You owe yourself to give this place a try if you're a sushi aficionado!
This place is a good AYCE sushi! Went for dinner and we got cheaper choice of dinner AYCE and it already included sashimis with 1pp order limit which is fine because everything else in the menu is AYCE anyways. Quality was outstanding, food was fresh and delicious, service was great, restaurant had a nice ambiance, everything was perfect! ..But starting from now, I'm only going to give 5 stars to sushi places which good wasabi. Most AYCE places I've been to have weak wasabi. I might just bring my own from now. I really highly recommend this place. Oh and they also have tablets on their tables for ordering.

For the kids, I have no choice but to order the bento box for them which is about $20 and they can't eat half of it. Other than the kids menu, the quality of their sushi is amazing. The rice to fish ratio is perfect. I like how you can order from the tablet and the food comes out pretty quickly even when the restaurant is at full capacity. My favorite items are the carpaccio, hand rolls and the Sashimi nachos.
We found this newly opened sushi spot near our house and decided to give it a try since there weren't many online reviews yet. Right after we sat down, the server asked whether we wanted à la carte, AYCE regular, or AYCE premium -- without giving us a menu. She only mentioned that the premium option includes sashimi. It was honestly the first time I've been to a restaurant where no menu was provided upfront. We ended up choosing the AYCE premium. The nigiri came with large slices of fish and a very small portion of rice, but unfortunately the fish itself was cold and lacked flavor. The sashimi platter, however, was a completely different story -- thick cuts, generous portions, and noticeably better quality. The fried dishes were pretty good too, especially the coconut lava ball and sweet potato ball. Ordering is done through an iPad. Each round is unlimited, but you have to wait 10 minutes before placing another order. Only about half the menu items have pictures, and many dishes with multiple ingredients don't list what's inside, which could be confusing and potentially concerning for people with allergies. Some items are also limited to one per person, including certain premium nigiri and soft shell crab dishes. Service was fast and attentive overall, though our table felt a bit sticky. I could also hear the chef loudly chatting and laughing in Mandarin from the kitchen, which became a little distracting during the meal. For a Saturday daytime, the restaurant was only about half full.
It started with a reservation phone call. The person who answered the phone just asked for the time, date, and name. No phone number needed. We also did not need the reservation. The restaurant was quite barren when we entered. Nicely adorned with Japanese decor, we sat in the middle of the restaurant. Our waiter explained that they offered a premium AYCE for $47.99 which offered unlimited sashimi and carpaccio. We opted for the regular AYCE as we were in a sushi mood. Ordering was relatively simple with the tablet, and we could order every ten minutes. The only annoying thing was the constant pinging from everyone's orders. The majority of the menu was albacore based. Albacore, known as "white tuna", is the canned tuna one finds in stores. We skipped on all the albacore options and were left with some hand rolls, rolls, and appetizers. The spicy tuna was pretty decent in taste and quantity. The spice wasn't outlandish and the hand rolls were actually rolls versus the cone shape. The salmon collar was also delicious, although it was deep fried instead of the grilled. There were many critiques though. The "wagyu" wasn't truly wagyu and just beef. The amaebi was not sweet shrimp. The Cajun tuna seemed to be seared and then sliced and was seriously lacking in Cajun flavor; usually the fish is sliced, placed on the roll, garnished. And then seared so the flavor is absorbed. Their Cajun tuna was served cold. The unagi also seemed overcooked. Given that they are newly opened, there are some quick fixes which need attention before they can truly shine.
We revisited less than a week later because we were craving sushi & wanted to try their premium option for dinner. All you can eat sushi, carpaccio & sashimi with high quality is such an amazing deal. Even the ratio of rice in the nigiri is great. Service was attentive as well. We're already planning our next visit. :)
Found in the same parking lot as Whole Foods and CVS. We were a party of 2. Did the AYCE $38.99. I got full fast. I thought their sushi was fresh. The garlic edamame was different. It had a garlic goo all over it. Only 1 waiter on a Monday night. Spacious inside. I would come back but with a bigger group. Also wish they would give a fountain drink for free with the AYCE price.
So good I went twice today, my first server was Jennifer, she is so polite and sincere...gave me a large container to pour my own water because I was very parched after work! At dinner, my server was tanner, he has a good sense of humor and checks on you frequently... big smile! When you order the food it comes out in your next breath... amazing Philly roll under baked rolls and you cannot go wrong with the tempura shrimp..Try this place for lunch and then come back for dinner. The ramen is excellent as well!
This is a great spot in the Whole Foods shopping center where Mod Pizza used to be. Super clean, lots of seating options, large menu, and great service. Ordering is done on a tablet, but custom orders are super easy with your server. We will definitely be back. This was a great addition to this center! We also noticed some great M-F lunch specials as well that we can't wait to check out.

This is our second time at Z Sushi! I love that this place serves 4 pieces per sushi roll when you do the all you can eat option. Most places do 8 pieces per roll which is way too much. I enjoy trying a variety of sushi rolls, so 4 pieces is a perfect size. The fish is of great quality. The sashimi and carpaccio are so fresh, they just melt in your mouth. As far as the rolls the fresh rolls are my fave. The staff is very friendly and they come around often to check on you. You place your orders yourself on the tablets located at the table. It's super user friendly to place your order(s) yourself. My only suggestion is don't pay until you've received your final order items. We paid before receiving our last roll and we never got it. When we asked about it they informed us that they no longer had our order in their order queue. The waiter was kind and placed our final sushi roll order. Overall, this is a great restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious sushi! read more

My wife and I were looking for a new place to try out and this came up. We came in during lunch time but it was the MLK holiday so we had to pay the full dinner price of $38 for AYCE. Looking at the Lunch menu, they seem to have great deals priced at $17.99 (have to check it out next time) First is that the place looked very inviting, clean and organized. Service was generally fast. The selection for AYCE was decent with various rolls, appetizers, sushi, and carpaccio (limited order) . Rice to fish ratio was great on the sushi and rolls. The rice less rolls were also per generous in size. There were some rolls that I think had too much sauce that over powered the first, but I guess we could have asked to be lighter on the sauce. I'm a big sushi person and can be pretty picky, so I don't usually eat sushi locally because my standards are a bit high. I decided to give this place a try, and I was impressed. This is a really solid local spot, especially for the price point. Is it the best sushi I've ever had? No, but I've also had fresh-caught fish and Michelin-level sushi, so that's a high bar. For what it is, I would absolutely come back. I especially enjoyed the spicy tuna hand roll, and the bluefin sushi was good as well. The miso soup was your standard miso, and the baked green mussels came out hot and had a lot of flavor. There are a few small technical things that could be improved, but the quality of the fish is definitely there, which matters most. The server was attentive, and the food came out quickly. I also liked the decor. They do have a rule where you wait about 10 minutes between orders, but it actually worked out well and didn't feel like an issue at all. Overall, I usually find that all-you-can-eat sushi sacrifices quality, but this place offers really good value for what you're getting. Definitely a spot I'd come back to. read more

Came here for all-you-can-eat sushi and left genuinely impressed. Even during lunch, the menu offered a wide variety of rolls, nigiri, and hot items, but dinner really takes it to the next level with excellent sashimi options that are fresh, clean-cut, and generously portioned. The fish quality stood out immediately--bright, flavorful, and never fishy--while the rice was perfectly balanced and never overpacked. Service was another highlight. Food came out faster than expected for an AYCE spot, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and never made us feel rushed. The pacing allowed us to fully enjoy each round, which isn't always the case at all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants. Pricing felt more than fair for both the quality and quantity, especially considering the sashimi included at dinner. The space itself is open, modern, and spacious, making it comfortable even when busy. It's very comparable to Show Sushi in San Dimas, particularly when it comes to the nigiri and sashimi quality. Weekday lunch is an excellent value, but dinner is absolutely worth it if you want the full experience. Easily one of the best AYCE sushi spots in the Claremont/Upland area, and a must-visit for sushi and sashimi lovers. Update: I tried for dinner! Carpaccio is amazing! read more

Incredible sushi and experience. Highly recommend. My husband and I went here on Valentine's Day for All You Can Eat sushi, in the afternoon. Will be back often! Impressive and great variety. All you can eat type of sushi restaurant. Soda and tea cost extra. Food and service is amazing. Seating and tables is like your typical restaurant. You get a mix of families or people on dates going. It's my family's new sushi spot. read more

This was our first time eating here and will definitely come back!! We did AYCE dinner regular menu and it was fantastic! We did all the special sushi, fresh rolls, taro pumpkin balls, and coconut lava balls. You order through an iPad and can send a new order every 10 min! Wonderful staff and delicious fresh food. I love the ordering system on the iPad. We've now been twice in one week. We had the very kind server Sophia both times, but other staff helped us as well. They are also open on holidays which was very nice. The rolls are a very generous size. read more

I placed a tnt to go order through Yelp last night and I was rushing to an activity so I could not open my food until I got there when I opened the bag I found a surprise- a baby roach. Called and asked if I could get this refunded and they were very dismissive told me to get help through Yelp and that it wasn't a big deal. I also had a friend let me know after this instance that she ate here and the fish was very fishy; made her sick. I believe it because it did have an odor when I opened my roll. This was all very unfortunate, it looked really good, but I will never eat here again. read more
