I love Paint Nite!! I had previously done it before down in socal but wanted to do it with my friends up here because I had such a great time. For San Francisco locations, you definitely have to reserve your night around a month in advance... The paint nite reservations go fast!! So hurry up and buy your $25 groupon (compared to $45 regularly), clear your schedule for that night, and reserve a night for painting with your friends! I attended Paint Nite at The Empire Room on Golden Gate Ave yesterday night with 2 of my friends. We had Ashley as our artist and she was friendly and funny! She also really took her time and had some good tips along the way. She was really nice about helping people out, for example my friend accidentally got black on her light blue background (LOL), and Ashley helped her fix it! I also saw a girl come in late and Ashley helped her catch up. The two hours goes by relatively fast and by 9pm, you're asking yourself where the time went. Nonetheless definitely a fun girls night, or even a date night! We got to The Empire Room a little early so we decided to take advantage of their happy hour drink specials. Drinking while painting is fun, but don't let it hinder your painting skills.... hahaha! They also have small bites and entrees that you could order since it was around dinner time. Also, don't even worry if you don't have any artistic ability or haven't painted since kindergarten.. The artists really go step by step and make it so much easier than it looks!

    So much fun!!!

My homegirl of FOURTEEN YEARS was coming to SF for her birthday (as well as to handle a little biz) so we said LET'S DO THIS. Let's paint the city! But of course I took that shit literally and started looking for painting classes, especially the ones that I heard included wine, and Voilà! Paint Nite San Francisco. I. Absolutely. LOVED IT. I went in drawing like a third grader and came out on some Van Gogh shit... and I don't even know HOW to explain to you just HOW I did it. She told us to make a white circle here. Scribble some color around there. Draw some criss cross green lines here. Put a black dot there. And before your girl knew it, she had flowers blowing in the wind, in a field, on a sunny day! I thought the wine came with the class, but no. BYOB (meaning bring or buy your own) S'alright. I still loved it and I'm doing it next in HOUSTON! Weoutchea!

I booked a private event with Paint Nite and it didn't disappoint. Not only do they bring all the supplies you need to paint and do the set up, they make the whole process of booking them and figuring everything out super easy. Our artist was very friendly and patient with my group. Especially as the night progressed and the wine was catching up with everyone. Her instructions were easy to follow and she balanced her time well with teaching the whole group and helping individuals. I would definitely book them again or attend one of the public events.

I absolutely LOVED this event and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a few hours of fun! The experience lasted roughly 2 hours and took place at a winery in downtown SF. Painting while buzzed? What more could I ask for. Tip: show up early to grab food or drinks at the venue if so desired. And to ensure that you get a good selection of seats. My event was sold out, so I was glad I came earlier and got center seats. Started off by grabbing a rosé from the counter (just note that the price of drinks is not included in the ticket price). My instructor cracked endlessly funny life jokes as she taught us the steps to reconstructing (while still adding our own touches) to the advertised painting. My only complaint is that she went really fast, and I felt like I did not have enough time to keep up. The pace slowed down towards the end, so I had could at least add finishing touches. Another point to note (and this is specific to my event), was that the instructor didn't go into as much detail doing her painting on the spot than the advertised painting. The end product did not look as good as advertised. Still a fun and novel experience for me!

Who knew I was a master artist? I always thought I was the one person in my family who was not artistic. I took ceramics in high school, photography in college, and ikebana as an adult but painting and drawing were never my thing. Apparently, we are all better artists when we are a little tipsy. I thought my starry Golden Gate turned out fantastic. The instructor made it very easy to follow the steps and also explained that there's room for creativity and self-expression. The bridge did not have to be so precise and we had an amazing time. I'd recommend Paint Nite for a fun date or girls' night out. It's affordable with a Groupon or LivingSocial deal. Drinks do cost extra.

Used a Groupon deal for this ($25/person for 2hrs--otherwise it's $45) and it was so much fun! You have to register online in advance and choose the painting you want to do, the venue, and the time. Some of the more popular paintings (ie. cherry blossoms, Van Gogh inspired starry night) quickly sell out so you might have to plan a month in advance. I went to the Cigar Bar & Grill for this. The only downside is that the painting instructor went through it pretty fast (or maybe we're just slow) and they ran out of aprons!! So some of us had to use either table cloths or napkins. What. How is that possible when there is a set amount of people that can register and attend the event?! Still fun nonetheless. Painting, snacking, and sipping on drinks, what could be more fun?

Valisha Rogers is one of the best instructors for Paint Nite. She is extremely energetic & keeps things exciting the whole time. No one does her job better or works harder then this beautiful woman.

However, a few months before the wedding I was so overwhelmed with all the detail that Brenda offered to meet and she just helped me organized my priorities and made me feel really good about the progress I had made. She did the same 6 weeks later. OMG, so helpful to keep me going and manage the overwhelm. As the date grew nearer, she started leading more to ensure we took care of those horrible details (seating charts, signage, communication with vendors, table set ups, and the timeline, etc). At every moment she was calm, lovely, relatable, fun, reassuring, and extremely competent. The week before the wedding she came over and took ownership of all the "stuff" (candles, ceremony items, decorations, etc). That felt sooo good. She was great at the rehearsal and made sure "all the cats were herded"so we got through the rehearsal and worked out all the details. The day of the wedding? We were so relaxed and didn't think about a single thing. The tables were set exactly as we had discussed, the ambiance was amazing, every little detail she had taken care of. and then she cleaned up and stored everything for us and then brought it back to us a couple of days later. During the wedding, Brenda was a total ninja....I barely saw her at the wedding as she was in the background making it all happen so we could enjoy our guests. A guest even took a picture of her that makes her look like the super hero she is, LOL! You will LOVE working with Brenda. I cannot recommend her more vigorously. She is amazing.

We called to check their availability, and they directed us to fill out the contact form on their website. We submitted it, and they got back to us the next day to review the details. After that, they sent a proposal by email, which was simple to update, and once we approved everything, we made the payment. On the day of the event, the only hiccup was timing. We told them that setup was scheduled for 3:30pm and the party would start at 5pm. When we didn't see them for a while, we tried calling but didn't get a response. They didn't arrive until around 4:40-4:45pm, which was much later than we expected. They mentioned they thought 3:30pm was just the earliest they could arrive, but we actually needed them there at 3:30pm. Thankfully, once they arrived, the setup was quick, efficient, and they finished in no time. The balloon arrangements themselves were absolutely stunning. We received so many compliments, and they completely transformed the space. They understood the aesthetic we were going for and executed it perfectly. Despite the timing miscommunication, I would still use them again because their customer service was great throughout the planning process, everything was easy to coordinate, and their work was beautiful. With clearer communication on arrival times next time, it would easily be a 5-star experience.

The vibes felt right, and we loved that she would help us bring our vision to life by including design. We picked the partial planning & design package but honestly, after working with her, we wished we had just done full service planning. In our first meeting we gave her an idea of what we had envisioned for the day, including a shared pinterest board. From there she made a design deck that really brought our day to life. Alex provided the best vendor recommendations (including for some with whom she had relationships and discounts), thoughtful design ideas, and guidance on the overall flow of the day. She joined us for our food tasting, met with us in person to pick out our rentals, and she coordinated a site visit with the vendors in preparation for the wedding. We didn't think we needed a content creator, but she even provided us with one and it was a great addition to capturing the memories of the day! Throughout the planning process, Alex was easy to reach, responsive, collaborative, open to feedback, and genuinely easy to work with. On the day of the wedding, Alex brought everything together seamlessly. She handled every detail behind the scenes, even things that didn't go as planned were handled quickly and professionally. This really allowed us to be fully present and actually enjoy the day. When I walked down the aisle for the first time, I was blown away!! It was BEYOND, BEYOND what we had even hoped for. Even when we booked the place two years in advance, we knew no matter how much we planned--this was going to be an ordeal. In the midst of finishing school and starting careers, we'd need to get our families, friends and many, many heavy bags from California and over the Atlantic and throw a party so good it would be worth all the trouble. All without exploding from stress until, at least, after the "I do's" (with our dog in tow to boot). But, to make things just a little bit more intense, we both wanted our dream "editorial" wedding, something we'd been envisioning and manifesting since we started dating at 16. We were ready to put in the hours and the work to make it happen, but we knew we had to find someone with an inordinate amount of skill, like someone born to be a planner, to chart and direct our efforts to our ever, admittedly, lofty goals (and having competitive pricing wouldn't hurt!). Enter Alex and Earth and Events. From our first Zoom call, Alex calmly led the way--through picking cuisines, to florals, to a photographer, to stationary, to a dj, to desserts, to drapery, to chairs, to make up, to seating charts, etc., etc. (but she went beyond all that too--on quite short notice she took her mom on a vacation and flew to meet us in Italy a year before the wedding to explore the venue, theorize seating and dinner setups, and just to better understand Tuscany). Alex quickly showed that she was the kind of person we could trust with every detail, every idea, and every last action item. And, not that we ever left the wheel--we felt like we pestered her night and day to ask her opinion on a zillion things (and otherwise keep her posted on our every imaginable anxiety). But through it all, she remained calm and centered. Her approach was pragmatic and certain of results. And it makes sense--please take a moment to see the photos attached. Zoom in and notice her command of myriad details and then zoom out to appreciate her creation of scenes. Alex has heaps of creative skill. And when you have this much skill, there really isn't a problem you can't overcome or smooth over in achieving your client's vision. And trust us, when you are planning an international wedding, things come up--and even go wrong--because everything is just a bit closer to the edge. But this isn't a story about things going wrong. This a five star review because Alex not only delivered on the vision, but solved our every problem along the way. And we are so grateful for the memories so vibrant and amorous they'll last a lifetime. So, congratulations, you just found the best planner in Northern California--and its our blessing to call Alex our friend.

I will say the manger sorting this out for us was extremely sweet and I did appreciate her. We were seated in the balcony which faces the big screen on chase center and had additional smaller TV's upstairs. I will say we were seated on the very end where there is no TV, which was kinda a bummer. The outdoor area was not finished yet, but I was surprised this seat was offered as seating. It was apparent that this section wasn't complete yet and I felt like I wasn't getting the full experience sitting in an incomplete part of the restaurant. As for the food, my boyfriend and I wanted to try a little bit of everything because foodies...DUH! The waiter bringing out food said "Wait... Is there more people jointing you?
