Be careful when ordering from here. I recently went here and I was recommended/encouraged by a worker to get PROGRESSIVES. I was told if they didn't work I could bring them back and get regular glasses. Since they did not work for me I went back and got my glasses remade, no problem, but issue was I was not refunded what I paid out of pocket for the glasses they recommended and they never told me I would not get the refund. I believe they should inform you of that before selling you the more expensive glasses. read more

Dr. Tran is a wonderful optometrist! During my recent examination, he spent time explaining changes happening with my vision and answered all of my questions without me feeling rushed. The young man that greeted me when I walked in is very friendly and also did a good job performing my eye tests. I also enjoyed talking to Nancy about my contact lens needs at the end of my appointment. She is very sweet and professional. I picked up my glasses on Wednesday and when I got home, I noticed the inside of my glasses had numbers and letters on the inside of my lenses. So I go back today, which is Friday they're busy as usual. They're always busy. The girl told me to have a seat which I did so then one lady comes out and she said can I help you and I explain to her the situation she holds her hand out and says let me see them. So I give her my glasses and she said are these progressive yeah they're gonna have numbers and letters in them. OK, I understand that, but it is blocking my view when I'm trying to look out my glasses. She said again these are progressive. They always have that in the inside of your glasses. I said I bought two pair from you guys last year. They don't have them. She said let me see them. I said ma'am I don't just carry glasses around in my purse. She said well I've been here for five years and they always put the letters and numbers inside progressive glasses. I said no they don't. Why would they do that when people have to see out of them she said with an attitude and loudly ma'am, I've been here for five years and they've always been like that. So I leave and I go home check my glasses from last year and there are no numbers in there so after thinking it over I go back and return both pair. For years I've looked over the fact that they are always busy. The staff is always rushing around and rude, but today I couldn't look past it the loud talking I couldn't so I get there and the girl at the desk says hi just a second so she looks at the girl Kristina I guess that's her name tall Caucasian woman heavyset curly reddish brown hair with a blonde spot in the top and I said no ma'am I don't want to deal with her. I would rather deal with you. She said OK just a second so when I get to the register she says can I help you? I said yes ma'am and I explain the situation and then I informed her that I did not like the way I was treated and she said I understand I apologize and I said I just want a refund and I will leave. She said well my assistant manager would have to to refund you. I say OK she said can you have a seat over there? I sit down my back is turned against both ladies who were behind the register and all I hear was does she need help. I don't know what the other girl said but then the girl Kristina says loudly. Oh, I don't care. I didn't say anything so I waited for the assistant manager the guy with the glasses. He helped me. We went over the receipt because they charge me $80 for my eye exam which was waived because I purchased two pairs of glasses from them so me and him are discussing how much I should get in a refund he goes ma'am. I have to get something out of this so the eye exam I said I understand, but if you look on here, there's a deduction of $80 for the eye exam which made my balance $216 after all of that just give me my refund and I will leave and I will no longer do business with you. I have been going to the same spot for 5 to 6 years every time I go in there they're always busy so I don't blame the staff in there. I respect them and wait my turn but today was it. I am not a child. I don't want to be talked to the way that she talked to me. She was very disrespectful and then to top it out off for her to say so I don't care. I am done with this place. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEN TO NOT REFUND FOR A EYE EXAM I GOT FOR FREE IS RIDICULOUS. read more

Riverside County school district helped me get a voucher from the nurse to aid in assisting me with the purchase of my son's eye exam, frames, and lenses. Iris was blind and now eye see. This place is worth seeing. They also offer cool accessories that fit the bill and tons of frames to choose from. I set up an appointment for my husband. We discussed what he needed and what we were looking for and everything was great. We arrived and were greeted promptly and were able to pick out frames to put aside for later after the exam. The pre-exam testing was smooth and easy. When we were taken in by Dr. Lundquist, it seemed like he had an attitude about him. Once the exam was over, we went back out to order the glasses. I asked if there was an appointment available while I was there and it was only about 15 minute wait. Dr. Lundquist stated "I didn't say to get your exam the same day." I find this to be very rude and unethical. If it wasn't for the staff in the front, I would have just walked right out the door. I'm currently waiting for my glasses and contact lenses (over $600 in total). Considering the attitude of the doctor, I am not sure that I will return even though I did the plan. I don't go places on my money to be treated as second rate by a rude, unprofessional doctor. read more

I've had excellent service and appointments are seamlessly easy!!! I have been with this establishment for 4 years now, Even though my Yelp check in's only show I've been here twice. America's best membership insurance is now a $109 for 3 years. But covers up to 2 exams a year. They do offer 2 additional I testing that is not covered under the membership for a combination of $20 total. They have a very convenient online appointment system that may sometimes allow for same day appointments. During COVID closures, they were quick to call and ask if I needed contacts and then sent out contacts with free shipping while their offices were closed. Such great service! Now they are maintaining that the boxes of contacts come with free shipping, so I don't need to drive to the store each time!!! Just give them a ring and get contacts delivered! Staff is always friendly and quick. They have added an extra double checking stage before final payment. Highly recommend if you do not have eye insurance coverage...!!! The membership includes both glasses and contacts. They do offer warranty on their glasses and discount with membership. read more

Been going here since 2013. Amazing service! Eye Exam: $50 or free with two pairs of glasses! Their hardware for the exam is top of the line and more current with technology. I had an exam done end of 2021 with Kaiser Permanente and the test hardware was what used when I first got glasses in 2006... Not at America's best! Frame selection: Very broad range starting at $79.99/pair making it very affordable. Many brands from generic, mid range like Rickey Smiley (my favorite) and higher brands like Guess, Ray-Ban and Oakley. Coatings: Very high quality coatings from high tier companies at a great cost. Doctors: Very friendly as always and very helpful with questions about your eye situations and care. Store employees are nice and friendly, real quick and great to deal with. The manager James is super friendly and very helpful. I can't go back to other smaller private or major optician companies, they just make it so streamlined and easy. I like this place better than the Menifee location as I went there once, but they somehow got one of my pairs the wrong coating (brown vs black tint). Again, can't go wrong here! read more

The 5 star review for America's Best was done by my husband. He took my son in last week for his annual eye exam. Although the whole experience took 2-3 hours he was happy, because he said the staff was nice and friendly, as was the covering optometrist. When my son and I went there for the first time last year, we had an awesome experience from start to finish. When I came in for my exam today, it was very different. The young lady that checked me in was friendly, as was the person who did my exam before I saw the optometrist. She was so personable. Then I went in and saw the optometrist, who was the same one I saw the year before. He seemed very rushed and annoyed at my questions. I'm sorry, but if you're telling me I need 3 different prescriptions I think I should be able to ask questions. It's like me giving a patient a diagnosis and getting annoyed that the patient asks me questions. He was a little arrogant and a bit condescending, to be honest. Maybe be a little more subtle with your sarcasm. Then when I was checking out, the lady checking me out asked if I had picked out my frames yet, and when I told her that I wouldn't be getting frames and asked for the prescription instead her demeanor visibly changed. She became short and abrupt. No smile. This visit was like night and day from the last visit. Megan checked us out last time and she was very friendly and helpful throughout the process. The staff had good rapport and the vibe was positive. This time around the vibe was completely different, with the exception of Leah, who scheduled my appointment, the front office girl, and the lovely lady who did my eye tests. Okay, I'll just start out by saying this is the closest America's Best (further referred to as "AB" here on out) to me, and it's an hour's drive (I live in San Diego). I come here for an annual (sometimes semi-annual) eye exam, and typically to order contact lenses as well (although sometimes I just order online from another seller). I have had decent experiences with the service here, although I do feel that it varies and has changed with almost every visit I have made here. I have never had a bad experience per se, but I have never really had an amazing experience either. I feel like this is a typical Optometry business. Nothing special. read more

My complaint has to do with the glasses/frames themselves. I got a pair and noticed that there is a significant gap between the lens and the frame. I brought them back in and they happily made me a new pair. I had to choose a different frame due to the one that I picked was no longer available. Well, the same thing happened with the second pair. I am very far sighted so I couldn't see it until I got home and put them on and looked in the mirror. When the technician was making adjustments on the frame, I spoke up and asked if that is why the first pair had that issue and she said no. So, second pair, the left lens does not fit in the frame properly and it looks poorly made with the gap. read more

While I appreciate the convenience of being able to order new glasses at a reasonable price on the America's Best website, I was disappointed when I stopped in to ask to have the frames adjusted. No one seemed aware that their customers can order online and have them delivered directly to their home! I said that I had just received the glasses and were wearing them.
