Ordered food to be delivered. Ordering was no problem and the food came in a timely fashion. I got a small Shrimp and Lobster sauce, small Roast pork Lo Mein and a shrimp roll. The shrimp and lobster sauce was really really good. (The only thing that it was missing was little pieces of pork that some old time places do it.) the lo mein was pretty good. Definitely my favorite Chinese takeout place in the Ridgewood/Glendale area. Even though it is a bit of a walk for me coming from 73rd St and Myrtle, Ye Garden is better than all of the places I pass by combined. On top of that, the service is polite and nice - they have allowed me to use the rest room a couple of times. As a previous reviewer said - the food itself isn't much better than your average chinese place, but they do have some of the best dumplings around. read more

I found this restaurant recently and really enjoyed their food. It's not EXTRAORDINARY for a Chinese take out place, but it's decent and fast. UNTIL one day I ordered maybe 4-5 lunch specials for the office and one order was missing. When we called them, they were 100% sure that it was not missing and we just missed the order. But since there was no receipt upon delivery, there's no way to know if we paid for it or not. I called again, asking them to bring it, because at the end of the day, that person still needs a lunch. The RUDE DELIVERY MAN showed up, drops the container with food on a desk, and points at a coworker who was eating his lunch, yelling that there it is and we need to pay for it. The misunderstanding was that we ordered two beef dishes and only one came. I just felt they could've been NICER and more professional about it. We are NOT trying to skip out on a $6 lunch special. Giving them 2 stars because of the quality they used to offer. Not only have they jacked up their prices since the beginning of the pandemic, but the food has gone to hell in a handbasket. I ordered my nephew chicken wings and not only did they burn them but they were closer in size to pigeon wings than chicken wings. Depending on who picks up, ordering over the phone is a struggle but if you repeat your order accurately enough, it'll be delivered correctly. I like their salt and pepper squid and they also have the best quality pork dumplings out of any Chinese takeout place I've ever been to that's not located in Chinatown. Unlike the usual super doughy dumplings with the bland, mystery meat, their skins aren't as thick and the pork fillings are seasoned with a mix of chives. One thing I will recommend you not get are the chicken dumplings which was accidentally delivered to me once instead of the pork. The ground chicken completely bland. read more

I don't usually go for Chinese but I had a craving tonight and Ye Garden satiated that craving and then some. I was delighted by how fresh everything was in particular the broccoli. The Spring rolls were lightly fried and perfectly crisp. Nothing too salty (I did get the sauce on the side but I always do) really great portions and the delivery was super speedy. I ordered foood from this place through GrubHub. Order delivery time said 30-40 minutes. Its been 1 hour 20 minutes and no delivery. When I called in, the lady on the phone used a very terrible excuse and blamed GrubHub for delivery problems.
