Chicken ceasar chicken cooked perfectly. Shout out to the chef.
    Jeri L.

Nice little spot although the carpet needs a little tlc as it's torn and looking very worn. I had a dinner sized chicken ceasar which was good. They have soups salads sandwiches and burgers along with a special. On a Sunday afternoon there is one person playing hostess, server and bartender. She managed it all like a pro. Her communication skills are truly next level. Yes I was listening. She'd bring menus to a table after seating them and let them know what her next steps were before she returned to that table. Don't ever let her go. My only regret is not getting her name so I can give her a proper shout out in this review. For that I apologize.

    Fish & Chips (it's cod)

Ye Olde Pub was a winner for us! It was cold and windy late in the afternoon when we were on our way home from a Christmas tree farm. They welcomed us in and we were delighted with their delicious food. I'm a fish & chips girl, always in search of the best. This pub hit the spot! They make their own beer batter, which perfectly enrobes the mild cod. The pieces were huge! The fries were excellent. Normally fish & chips in this county come with a little cup of coleslaw. It helps me feel like I ate something nutritious along with my fried food! But Ye Olde Pub makes you choose between sides and it doesn't automatically come with their fish & chips. I liked their tartar sauce though. It was creamy and had a hint of sweetness, just how I like it. I guess I'll overlook the absence of coleslaw in my basket. My husband ordered their Reuben sandwich. He thought it was great. He got coleslaw but that counted as his side. I shared some of my fries with him. Rethink the coleslaw, Ye Olde Pub. Who cares if you don't get it at ye old pubs in England. In the USA we kinda expect it. Thanks! I'd dock you a star if the fish hadn't been so amazing!

Pub dip with coleslaw and winders

Stop back in today for more of those potato winders. They are delicious! For my meal, I had a pub dip. It was like a French dip with white cheese and jalapeños. The flavor was awesome. I do, however recommend using your knife and fork as the cheese makes it fall apart super easy and then after you dip it, there's no chance of hanging onto it anymore. The flavor is good though I also had the coleslaw which taste good and of course the Arnold Palmer to wash it down. The staff again on this visit were completely awesome. So friendly and inviting. I can't wait for my next trip.

    English Reuben and Brussels Sprouts!

So, ahem...we were just about to give up on dining out when I read all the Yelp reviews and decided to give this place a try. We finally went today and I must say BRAVO!!!! FINALLY, a restaurant/pub worth yelping about. We entered a warm and welcoming atmosphere . The server ( and I wish I knew his name) was the friendliest person I ever met. The menu was great. We ordered a split plate of the English Reuben with mesquite fries, and an order of Brussels. OMG.... The Reuben was one of the best we have ever eaten. The meat was so amazing... tender, juicy and tons of flavor! The fries were amazing (crispy and so good) The Brussels were the BEST I have ever eaten! The perfection on the cook on these was 5 Star! I have literally never had better ( even my own)! Run, don't walk. You won't be disappointed.

I don't get to stop as much as I would like. The food is always good. Staff is fun and friendly. Menu has been reduced since I was last here. Not a bad thing. Smaller menu usually means what is there is really good.

Steak bites w/creamy horseradish sauce. SO GOOD.

This place is one of my favorite small restaurants around! I'm mainly leaving my review for my favorite item. Caesar STEAK and Brussel sprout salad w/ bacon. It melts in your mouth and the flavor is so good. My steak is cooked exactly how I ask for it to be each time. It's up there in price but it's so good I don't even mind. Their service is excellent as well. Everyone who works there makes you feel right at home. The patio is doh friendly when they have it open too. We will always be back, love this place!

So much art to look at, curiosities tucked in every corner, space to roam and explore! - Get the passport to make your stay even more rewarding and fun! I love the scavenger hunts and the stamps force you to do things you might not normally do on your own accord. - The full pitch and putt course is a relaxing and a fun way to spend a few hours. It was only $25 per person and took us 3 hours. - I signed up for the Makers Tour and highly recommend it! Lots of tastings and great historical facts along the way. - The soaking pools at night were perfect to relax muscles right before bed plus no kids after 8pm. - This hotel doesn't revolve around children. The movies that were showing were rated R and most of the pubs and pool hall are 21+. Kids are welcome - but I've never seen that many kids around which I like, personally. - It's very Dog Friendly!! - The live music is incredible. I've been here for big concerts on the lawn plus mini concerts down the winery hall. They were all amazing. - It can get noisy between 7-11pm especially in weekends! The building is old - not sure about insulation and things! Bring some earplugs, a positive attitude and maybe enjoy an extra drink! The Highlights * The Saltwater Outdoor Pool: This was the absolute highlight of our stay. The water is kept at a perfect 38°C (100°F), making it incredibly relaxing. I highly recommend visiting after 8:00 PM when the pool becomes an 21+ area. * Thoughtful Details: The robes provided were high quality and very comfortable. Pro-tip: Be sure to bring flip-flops for the walk to and from the pool area. * Art & Dining: The murals throughout the hotel are fascinating to look at. We also had great experiences at the on-site bars and the Black Rabbit Restaurant, where both the food and the service were excellent. The Room & Stay Quality We specifically booked a room with a private bathroom and shower. However, most rooms at this location utilize communal facilities. Unfortunately, our room was located very close to the shared bathrooms and lavatories. Due to a complete lack of etiquette from other guests using those facilities, it was extremely noisy throughout the night. Because of the poor sleep quality and the noise levels, we likely won't be staying here again. It's a beautiful property, but the layout and noise issues made it difficult to fully enjoy our birthday celebration.
