    Grilled Pork

Excellent bahn mi sandwiches. We got the grilled pork no mayo and they were excellent and not soggy at all by the time we ate them. Large sandwiches and still a good deal for $7. They made them fast too like within 5 min of ordering. The bread is crispy and yummy, the pork is flavorful, jalapeños spicy, and the vegetables were fresh. All and all a great sandwich. Inside seemed busy, but the atmosphere feels akin to the inside of a gas station store more than a sit down place where you'd want to stick around. It is functional though with enough tables to keep up with their steady stream of people. Overall definitely worth trying their bahn mi if you're debating it.

STILL THE BEST!! Yes the little hole in the wall is still the best place to get banh mi, brought my kids here to try them out. It is a small place and we were very hungry so we decided to just take our food home Pro tip: order ahead online it'll save you a wait There are maybe 6-8 tables and this place is very popular so just something to keep in mind I got my sandwich in beef (extra meat) hubby in chicken and we also got crab Rangoon which my youngest said was very very good The food is simply amazing!

Based on the price and what you get, this place is 5 stars. Before you go, understand this is not a "5 star" restaraunt. It was close, I almost gave this place 4 star due to the cleanliness of everything besides the food and utensils. The food is pretty good, not great, but plenty good enough to come back and recommend to others. The ingredients they use are very simple, but very fresh delicious. The service is also so so. I wanted a drink, but the drink selection was very limited to maybe 3 different kinds of tea. But remember, this place is cheap cheap, and I srill got just as good of service as some places that charge high mandatory gratuity. I wish we had a cheap and simple place like this a bit closer to home for those days where I just want a simple and tasty lunch with the whole family that doesnt cost an arm an a leg. I do recommend this place but id probably get take out next time. Oh yea, and parking can be a bit interesting. They have free parking lot, but its shared by other businesses that can also get pretty busy. I had to wait for a decent spot, then move my car again later so it was actually visible from the restaraunt.

I came here after a morning out on the water near Edmonds and stopped here for lunch. The inside of the restaurant is a bit small and run down but the food is amazing. This is definitely a hole in the wall place but there was a line the whole time I dined here. I got the Hu Tieu Mi and it was delicious. It was a bit unexpected because there were two types of noodles in the dish (egg noodles and rice noodles) when I thought the dish was only going to have egg noodles. I also had a bite of my husband's banh mi and it was delicious --even more delicious considering the price!! This is the cheapest Banh Mi you can get these days where it's still packed with enough meat.  ~~Parking: Shared with the market and tire shop but we were able to find parking right out front on a Thursday around lunch time.  ~~Service: Good. It was easy to order and they were able to deliver the noodles to our table. We picked up the Viet Coffee & Banh Mi's from the counter.  ~~Return: Yes! I would have come back the next day but it was July 4th and they were closed!

Asian pulled pork with no jalapeños and pickled veggies

I ordered my banh mi about 30 minutes before arriving to avoid the usual weekend line, and they had it ready pretty quickly. In the past, I've had it fresh in-store, and the toasted bread was fluffy with a great crunch. This time, since I ordered to-go, it had been sitting for about 10 minutes before I picked it up, and when I ate it in the car, the bread tasted a bit stale. I'd still come back, but I recommend eating it fresh at the shop if you can for the best texture and experience.

Beware of the jalapeños! Sometimes mild, sometimes hot as lava. Sandwiches are superb, although had a meh pork bahn mi recently. Still very good, and priced at only $7.

Loved my visit to Yeh Yehs. Their grilled pork sandwich is amazing. The meat is so flavorful and bread is fresh with a nice crunch. The Thai ice tea was so refreshing on a hot day. By the time I got to the restaurant to pick up my order their team already had it complete and made my tea right there. The restaurant was packed even at a late lunch hour! Will definitely be back!

Pastrami banh mi, with extra pastrami and jalapeno.

This hole in the wall is a gem! I called ahead and ordered the pastrami banh mi, with extra pastrami, and 2 grilled pork banh mi. The pastrami was something to write home about! It was one of the best pastrami sandwiches. The extra meat was definitely worth the up charge. The grilled pork has great flavor, with a hint of sweetness! It was packed with veggies. The bread was flaky on the outside and soft inside. I'm so glad that my ride to the airport circled back, when I accidentally left the sandwiches behind in the car. If you haven't tried this place, I highly recommend it!

Delicious, savory banh mi's with HUGE portions in a humble setting. The beef banh mi here is LIFE-CHANGING! I ordered extra meat, and they did not skimp--the beef was incredibly tender, and the crisp pickled veggies and crunchy jalapeños balanced it perfectly. Yeh Yeh's has the fluffiest, most tender bread I've ever tried--every bite is a symphony of crackles! The pâté was buttery, umami-packed, and added a creamy richness to the sandwich. The Vietnamese iced coffee was a bit too strong and bitter for my taste, but honestly, the sandwiches are the real star of the show. The portion sizes are insane--each banh mi is only $8-$15 and could keep you full all day. This spot may be unassuming, but it's absolutely worth the drive. It gets busy at lunchtime, but service is lightning-fast! If you want a quick, no-frills lunch with hearty portions and fresh ingredients, this is the spot for you!

Came here mainly to try their banh mi. We tried their grilled pork and grilled beef banh mi. Overall, the banh mi were both good. We also tried their shrimp spring rolls which tasted fresh and came with a thick peanut sauce. I enjoyed their bo kho, Vietnamese beef stew. Overall a good cheap place if you're in the mood for Vietnamese food.

We got a chicken Bahn mi and the pork & chicken bun bowl. Both were very delicious! The picture does not do the bowl justice- it was huge! Everything in the bowl was perfectly cooked and flavored. The bread on the sandwich was soft and toasted just right, and the chicken was well seasoned with a plum sauce or something. We shared both items and had a good amount left over. I have my go to Vietnamese spots already, but this is close to home, so it'll probably move to the top of the list. Definitely recommend!

We were seated immediately, but it was noticeable that the restaurant filled up very quickly after we sat down. The service was fast, and we ordered two bowls of combination pho. The bowls were packed with good-quality meat and a ton of noodles, which was fantastic. I hate places where the meat seems tough and "old," like it was sitting out for a while. These slices of meat were tender and had great texture - also, I would actually say that the portions of meat were a lot (I ordered the large pho), which was a welcomed surprise. They packed the bowl with a ton of noodles as well, and the broth was solid. The only down side? This is the only combination pho I've ever had that didn't have meatballs. All other pho places come with meatballs, and my wife and I looked at each other with confusion and disappointment that meatballs was $5 extra. Odd. Overall, solid pho place with great service in the Lynnwood area. It's a bit of a drive from our place, but I would say if you're craving pho after a day-long adventure at Alderwood, this would be a place to go.

It has that hole-in-the-wall feel off Aurora, but honestly, this is some of the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. I am Vietnamese myself, and I have been looking for months, really years, for a Vietnamese restaurant in the Seattle area that actually feels worth coming back to. A lot of places have been average, or they have dishes like bún riêu or bún bò Huế on the menu but do not really do them well. Lotus Pond does. I tried the bún riêu and the bò né with steak and sizzling eggs, and both were delicious. My friend got the seafood pho and loved it too. Everything tasted like someone actually cared about the food, and I really appreciated seeing menu items that you usually have to search far and wide for, or go somewhere like Orange County or Houston to find done properly. The only downside is that it is definitely on the expensive side, but I will absolutely be coming back. The outside may not be flashy, but the food is seriously worth it.

Fast forward a year later to a Sunday at 12:30pm and I finally made the long drive here without going through Aurora Ave since my GPS randomly decided to give my road rage some grace. This place has plenty parking around the perimeter, so it was easy settling in. Only confusion was finding the entrance to this place, but when I did I was actually surprised where I was stepping into. Inside is laid back and cool with plenty of seating for groups of various sizes. There's tables and booths, and I got booth seating for myself when I walked in. There's a TV playing sports nearby where I was, and Vietnamese pop music was playing in the background too. Menu consists of regular foods in most Vietnamese restaurants, though their provincial noodle soups and banh mi sandwiches caught my eye. They even have bún măng vịt (duck and bamboo shoot noodle soup), my favorite that I gotta try next time I come here! From my IG feeds and as a starting point, I got their bánh mì thịt heo nướng (grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich), which comes with all the works of a regular banh mi sandwich, though I was kinda surprised how brightly orange the grilled pork was. Regardless, it was tasty and the meat was juicy. The pork pate added a nice savory touch to the sandwich, and no other condiment was in excess that it took away taste from the flavorful grilled pork. Staff was very kind throughout, and refilled my water every now and then. It was also nice chatting with one of them about our day and other recommendations from the menu. There's so much to have on their menu so I need to make the drive here again to have more of their stuff!

They're all a bit older so be patient when it's busy. I had seen their banh canh cua all over IG so I was curious since I wanted to see how it differs from the one I make at home. My friend and I came for lunch and the bowl was huge. I was hoping to get crab in the shell but didn't mind the de shelled meat instead. The broth is thick but light. I thought it was going to be sweet but was so pleasantly surprised it wasn't. Lots of yummy goodness. They make the noodles in house and I can tell because the cuts were uneven. Though it was on the softer side than what I normally liked, it was still a good bowl of noodle soup. I would have preferred the noodles to be a bit chewier but I also know how tedious it is to make fresh if they're doing all of that per bowl. There was "rieu" which is the crab mixture and I really like the flavor that has. It came with fried donuts to dipped and I loved that! We usually only eat the fried donut with chao so for me personally it was a nice treat. I left pretty full and happy. My friends sat there for an hour after eating just yapping away and I'm glad they didn't kick us out haha. They just cleaned around us and sat there enjoying their lunch. I will probably bring my mom and siblings here to try out other dishes! I will say, if you like things spicier I'd recommend bringing your own chili peppers haha. I drowned my bowl in their chili oil and sriracha and it wasn't spicy at all.

Many other tables had them but we were never offered it as service was brisk yet not very friendly. I ordered a Dac Biet pho (my regular choice) but they don't have tripe??? I usually pass on pho restaurants that don't serve tripe and tendon. I was at best average but honestly not near the best I've ever had in the US or Vietnam. At almost $20 for a bowl I wasn't impressed enough to say "let's go back". My wife ordered the pork vermicelli bowl (her usual). She liked it ok and I tried a bit. Again pretty tasty and in my opinion a better dish than their pho, but not worthy of returning over other choices. Overall if you are comfortable parking in a tight little parking lot to eat average food in a little old building it's not a bad choice. But I would not purposefully go back even though we shop often at Costco and Home Depot nearby.
