I see a lot of reviews about their sandwiches, but this is about the brisket pho. My past experiences here have always been great, so I don't know what happened this time. I ordered brisket pho with extra meat to-go, and when I got home and started eating, things were normal at first. HALF OF THE BRISKET was good! And all of the noodles! I noticed that the other half of the meat had this strange texture that didn't seem normal for brisket but I didn't care until I ate some of it. It was terrible, it had no flavor, and the texture made it even worse that I had to spit it out. I still ate the noodles so that I didn't starve, but I left all the weird meat as you can see. Is this what happens when you order at 5:03pm? Did they purposely choose some of the leftover bad meat as the "extra" meat? Or was it maybe an innocent mistake? Maybe it's something normal that should be expected when you order 1 hour before they close? I don't think that one makes sense, though. I probably won't come back for a while and try out a new place instead. read more

I used to go to Yeh Yeh's all the time because it used to be the best banh mi I've ever had, but lately, I feel like the quality/taste has changed. They made them fast too like within 5 min of ordering. The bread is crispy and yummy, the pork is flavorful, jalapeños spicy, and the vegetables were fresh. All and all a great sandwich. Inside seemed busy, but the atmosphere feels akin to the inside of a gas station store more than a sit down place where you'd want to stick around. Been going here for a couple years. Quality and most importantly, the amount of food, was great back then. I went before peak hours on a weekend, and got a pho bowl. The amount of food in it was pathetic. It was basically a kid-sized meal for 15 dollars. In the past, it used to be around 10 dollars, and the amount of food served was much greater. The banh mi is also more expensive, and tastes not as good anymore. The food quality has gone completely downhill, while the amenities and limited parking space continue to be terrible. Based on the price and what you get, this place is 5 stars. Before you go, understand this is not a "5 star" restaraunt. It was close, I almost gave this place 4 star due to the cleanliness of everything besides the food and utensils. The food is pretty good, not great, but plenty good enough to come back and recommend to others. The ingredients they use are very simple, but very fresh delicious. The service is also so so. I wanted a drink, but the drink selection was very limited to maybe 3 different kinds of tea. But remember, this place is cheap cheap, and I srill got just as good of service as some places that charge high mandatory gratuity. I came here after a morning out on the water near Edmonds and stopped here for lunch. The inside of the restaurant is a bit small and run down but the food is amazing. This is definitely a hole in the wall place but there was a line the whole time I dined here. I got the Hu Tieu Mi and it was delicious. It was a bit unexpected because there were two types of noodles in the dish (egg noodles and rice noodles) when I thought the dish was only going to have egg noodles. I also had a bite of my husband's banh mi and it was delicious --even more delicious considering the price!! This is the cheapest Banh Mi you can get these days where it's still packed with enough meat.  ~~Parking: Shared with the market and tire shop but we were able to find parking right out front on a Thursday around lunch time.  ~~Service: Good. So I've heard great things about this little hole in the wall and today was the day to try it out. So on my menu I ordered the spring rolls the brisket sandwich and the Asian pork sandwich with a Vietnamese coffee iced. The Asian pork was ok probably won't order again it lacked the flavor of Asian pork. Brisket was juicy and flavorful the bread is spot on large portions. Coffee is strong enough to keep you going all day and the spring rolls are a meal on their own with the best peanut sauce I've ever had. Soups are huge so going to try that next time for sure. The pictures tell the story. The bread was fluffy not crunchy but adequate. I'd say more than 70% of the sandwich was vegetables. The pickled daikon and carrots were not that pickled, which was good because there was so much of it. There were a few slices of the cold cuts and that was it. So disappointing. Again, the pictures show how little and unvaried the cold cuts were. Just some of the white deli meat and some of the ham that has the red coloring. That's it. I will gladly drive or take light rail to the International District (Saigon Deli) or Hillman City (Nissi Banh - their Nissi special banh mi is the best rn) for a **real ** banh mi. I expected more. It's decent. But it's kind of average. And the place is hard to find. I certainly do not think it's the area's best Banh Mi by a long shot. So they use a slightly different bread, you say. Okay, but it was nothing to write home about. And the sandwich was very average. I certainly would never make another special trip here to get one. The phở I saw at several tables came in HUGE bowls. But everything was already in the bowl. Everything. And they did not have much meat. Not sure on noodles as I could not see that far into the bowl with all the accoutrements were piled on top already. And the location? Well, good luck. It's too bad the hole-in-the-wall exterior look doesn't translate into one of those hole-in-the-wall culinary ecstasy food experiences. But it does not. Not going to make a trip here again. When you walk in, you stand in line to order and then they bring out your food at your table. This is different from most other Vietnamese restaurants where they have table service, but the food came out fast. We got the grilled pork sandwich ($7.25) which was a good sized sandwich with a large portion of meat. We also got the pho combo ($11.75) which had all the meats and the broth was flavorful. I would have preferred more meat in the bowl, but the portion of food for the price was good. It's a quick and casual spot and there were a lot of to-go orders. Wow the banh mi is delicious, affordable, and big. I ordered 5 for the family. had the tofu one for lunch and looking forward to trying the meat ones in a bit. The environment and hygiene at this restaurant is really subpar though. I would never eat there. As one of the other reviews said, there were a lot of flies even in winter! With to-go orders, I would reheat the sandwiches before eating them. I gave this place 4 stars mainly for the food and authenticity.
