Discover an amazing Vietnamese Deli nestled in the charming neighborhoods of Lynwood and Edmonds. Don't miss the opportunity to visit if you happen to be in the Edmonds and Lynnwood vicinity! Great prices and their ban mih sandwich are made fresh and delicious! They have a wide variety of other Vietnamese and southeast asian dishes like spring rolls, friend rolls, rice and meat combo. Tried their Vietnamese coffee and it's just the right blend and amount of kick! Service is fast and efficient! Family owned and friendly staff! Would recommend this place if you're in the Lynnwood and Edmonds area.

We've been here a few times before but thankgoodness they are open on christmas eve! We stopped in for 3 banh mi sandwiches, nem neung meatballs and 2 egg rolls. Their banh mis are super heavy, full with fillings. The ingredients are fresh and sandwiches are made to order. The service is pretty fast and friendly. The renovated the interior so it looks modern and clean. No seats to eat inside as it's a deli (Togo only). They also take catering orders in advance.

Signature BBQ Pork sandwich

My family has been coming to this place for the Signature BBQ Pork sandwich for many years. This place is take-out only, no eating-in. They also carry many other varieties of snacks and food. We came here again on a Tuesday. The staff was friendly as usual, and the space was clean. The only downside is that it is cash only. Parking is easy as there is a parking lot.

Stopping by Seattle Deli this morning, Wednesday 17 May 2023, around 8:40 a.m., I saw the posting on one of the doors as I entered showing four different Bahn Mi options. The signature BBQ pork one looked good, so I made my way inside and placed my order. There were two workers behind the counter in the front of the deli, the one who took my order and one who made the sandwich. Both were friendly. The price was $7.00, I paid cash. Other items were on sale by the cash register area as well, though I stuck with just the Bahn Mi. After getting my food I made my way to my car to eat it before heading south to Ballard to get some items as a way of observing Norwegian Constitution Day. The bread of the sandwich was crispy and tore well when bitten into. A hearty amount of the signature BBQ pork was well distributed in the sandwich, so there were not really bites without meat. The meat chunks were a good size and I loved the flavor of the pork. The vegetables were fresh, crunchy, colorful, and flavorful. Sauce lightly coating some of the vegetables and spread on the inside of the bread was enough for its taste to shine without contributing too much of a creamy texture. All around pleased with my first Bahn Mi experience.

Banh mi are $7 each here and quite tasty! It's a great spot to pick up something quick and convenient. I like the grilled pork and the special with the different types of pork. Call ahead to place larger orders.

Wow, i did not think I would find a Vietnamese sandwich place that would rival Saigon deli in Seattle! The banh mi thit nuong is loaded ... there is serious weight to it! The breading was perfection... toasted and does not have that old bread in the fridge toasted taste. The veggies were fresh and bountiful. The pork were good but no grill marks I feel like the Mayo they use is lighter compared to Saigon deli. All in all, their banh mi thit nuong is well put together that strive in all the ingredients. Now the cold cut sandwich, I felt the pate was falling short in deep flavor compared to the one at Saigon deli. It is super hard to decide who will come out on top, will have to do a side by side comparison but Seattle deli Defin dominated the viet sandwiches up north while Saigon deli takes the lead in downtown seattle. Service was friendly and quick, I came before they open and they still made my sandwiches! Prolly standard for a Vietnamese joint. Ambiance, it is a small quaint clean deli that focus on a few items.

pate chaud

this little vietnamese deli is located in the Boohan Plaza in edmonds. PC (pre- covid), the Seattle Deli had steam trays full of fresh, delicious food and desserts. now, the hot food is limited but is equally delicious. Bun Rieu: delicious crab flavor. there's plenty of noodles and tons of fresh veggies and the pork sausage. a great value for $10.95 Com Suon Ram - pork chop - looks even better than their menu picture. one giant loin chop, bun, tomatoes, steamed egg, and fresh crispy lettuce. the loin chop was tender and well-seasoned. a very good deal at $9.95 Bahn mi: i always order the cold "special". i like that they are very generous with the schmear of pate even if the price has increased to $5. their bread is crispy outside and fluffy inside in the cold case: pate, rice wrapped in bamboo leaves. the cold bun dishes are still available for quick grab and go as well as the refrigerated pate, the chilled desserts and other cold-case items. in the hot case: pate chaud! i like the pastry for this iteration much more than the original pate chaud in the cup-style pastry. there are so many different things to try. the young man at the counter is very helpful and is never too busy to answer any questions. highly recommended if you want to try Vietnamese food that's not pho.

The man behind the register then looked at me and probably saw the exhaustion in my eyes of working 80/hr per week in the hospital for minimum wage and gave me a cup of matzo ball soup for free anyways. He didn't have to do that and it was such a kind and generous offer. What a genuine and caring establishment. Also that matzo ball soup was better than my Jewish grandmother's! Bonus: this spot is kosher! Potato Latkes (5/5): These latkes are thick boys and fried up so they're piping hot when they hit the table. Because of their size, you really get the contrast of the hard crunch on the outside with super fluffy potato inside. So good we immediately turned around and ordered more. Chocolate Babka (2/5): This was truly the only miss I've had here. Unfortunately, the babka just really dries out after it's been sliced, which is a shame because it's just gorgeous with generous swirls of chocolate inside. Reuben (5/5): I really thought their pastrami couldn't be beat, but the brisket is dare I say better? Just as tender and feels a bit less fatty, so it's a little more crushable. Tip: go for the seeded rye over the marbled rye; something about the marbled rye just falls apart a bit more with the juices of the meat, though it's still delicious! Black & White Cookies (4/5): I expected this to be cloyingly sweet, but this was actually scrumptious with some fresh lemon flavor in the cookie itself. Absolutely massive as well.

First off, the focaccia…read morebread was a time amazing - soft, yet sturdy enough to hold the immense amount of goodies inside, I'd truly eat that bread every single day if I could. (Pro tip, they sell it separately and had I realized how incredible it was before I left I would have brought some home). Secondly, the vegetarian fillings were fresh, perfect avocado, fresh tomato, lovely red peppers with a nice slice of Swiss and some fresh lettuce. It was heavenly. It's maybe a tad expensive, but considering the freshness and the bonus blueberry bread and chips they included I did not mind at all. The guy worming was very nice (and made an incredible sandwich) but the woman, who I'm guessing was the owner, seemed a little put off to have to make stuff. I'm only docking them a point because of the somewhat awkward feeling and slightly stale atheistic of the place. But honestly, it was clean and they are clearly putting out a bunch of fresh, homemade goodies so I can absolutely look past that all. Next time I'm in the area I'll be back and I'll be loading up on their fresh bread...and probably a pastry or cookie or something else yummy.

I had a breakfast ham and cheese croissant and a caramel latte. The croissant had a generous serving of ham and cheese inside and was warmed up when I ordered. Served with it was a large slice of banana bread which was a nice surprise. The latte was surprisingly delicious for a place that does not necessarily advertise itself as a coffee stop. The baked goods are unique selection of cookies, breads, and European treats like Rugelach. I picked up an apricot one to go. It was delicious with a large bit of filling and tasty pastry. This makes a nice place to stop whenever you are back and forth between Belfair and Shelton.
