We chose Sarducci's for lunch based on the recommendation of the front desk staff at our hotel. Sarducci's offers a selection of Italian dishes including pizza and pasta and other items. They have a parking lot which was helpful in the busy downtown area. We were fortunate enough to be able to get a table on their covered porch. It provided us with scenic views although it also brought us some bee friends who wanted our lunch too. The staff was attentive and efficient. I thought the food was okay. I had the Greek salad which was good and an order of fried calamari. The calamari and accompanying red sauce were both lukewarm which was disappointing. I did ask if the sauce could be warmed up but the second round, while warmer than the first, still seemed cooler than it should have been although it was probably the calamari that should have been hotter. My husband ordered the pulled pork mac and cheese which looked really delicious and he said it was as good as it looked. Overall Sarducci's is a solid option if you are looking for Italian food in Montpelier.

Sarducci's had a reputation amongst the locals so I came in with high expectations. I was here with a group so thankfully had the opportunity to try many things on the menu. Starting with drinks, there were a few cocktail specialties listed as well as an assortment of beer and wine. I started with the maple cream martini (when in Vermont, right?) which came out quickly and was as sweet as you would imagine but with a pleasant kick. There should be a warning to drink it fast before it starts to separate because it eventually became a curdled mess that no longer looked appetizing. I also ordered the Sarducci's Sangria which didn't look like the sangria's I'm used to, but I kept an open mind. The taste was just okay for me. Many of the other guests were enjoying their beer choices however. Appetizers were shared and we had a loaf of bread with olive oil, calamari fritta, shrimp cocktail, and bruschetta. These were all served as one would expi. Nothing special, but none of them were bad. I do generally see free bread for the table at Italian restaurants typically but I digress. For main courses, I only got to try two, but the feedback was generally positive. I personally loved the pasta special. The steak was plentiful and the peppercorn cream sauce was delicious. I also appreciate the generous heap of fresh parmesan that you can have added tableside. The penne ala vodka was also delicious with the smoked chicken added. Most people cleaned their plates or came close to it, so I'd say the mains were everyone's favorite course. For dessert I ordered the Italian lemon cream cake and found it to be light, and rich at the same time. It didn't taste as strongly of lemon as I expected, but I still enjoyed every bite. I also got to taste the maple gelato and it was delightful. Overall, this was a pleasant experience. Our waitress was attentive and the ambiance is comfortable. Easy choice for a date or business meal.

Passing by Montpelier on a recent road trip through Vermont and looking for dinner. This small local Italian restaurant looked like the place. We had polenta with dries tomato and mushroom cream sauce, salad, and baked sausage. It was all delicious! The service great and we would return if ever in the area again.

We were on a tour and our guide "recommended" this place. Everything was delicious. Service was great. Decent wine list. It's a nice little place be the river so you got lunch with the view. I loved my linguini al pascatore. It was little garlic-y but overall great. Caprese salad had good balsamic drizzle (but it felt like weird with greens on the side). In summary, we had a great meal and I would recommended this place.

I enjoyed my chicken Caesar wrap. I would have preferred a little more Caesar dressing. I like mine wet. Not a big fan of the french fries as I don't like french fries coated in whatever these are coated in. My wife did not like her Caprese sandwich at all. She felt the bun was toasted too dark. And it had a distinct burnt taste. Also being a Caprese salad it should have had some basil. However, there was no basil on the sandwich. The waitress was very pleasant.

I had higher expectations based on previous reviews and ambiance, but I wish we had stopped elsewhere. Missing the basil from a caprese is a major miss, obviously burnt bread on a $16 sandwich? Unacceptable Sad to leave most of it. The server didn't ask if there was an issue. Not recommended.

Better than my meal at the North End in Boston! Blue cheese salad dressing was spot on. Veal was so tender it melted in my mouth. Pasta and sauce added to the flavor. I was very surprised and was very pleased. Sat outside which was a perfect ambiance, just a little chilly. Waitress was very good, even with the restaurant being so busy.

Stopped here on our first stop (#10) of our US Capitals journey. Being a Monday, many restaurants in Montpelier are closed. Not a busy city. But Sarducci's was busy. Lots of space inside, outside and on the porch. Didn't care too much for the table we got (in the corner), but the service was good and so was the food. Food came quickly and was hot.

With Montpelier's devastating floods this past July that rivaled California's winter ones, there was only a handful of eateries open in downtown for dinner. Burgers and crepes while fun for lunch wasn't our first choice for dinner so decided to wait that hour for Sarducci's. Was it worth the wait? Answer would be yes. Baked scallops and breaded shrimp with garlic lemon capers with linguine and wood charred salmon with risotto, ate every bite including every drop of sauce. If our arrival time wasn't so up in the air since we were driving in that day, reservations would be the way to go as that wait can be brutal when it's colder.

I had a wonderful night with my partner at this amazing, quiet, dim lit restaurant. The food was delicious, and the desserts were even better. I recommend getting a speciality because it comes with a side salad, which is the perfect way to start the meal. The waiters are very polite every time we go. Have gone a few times, and will go again!

The food was alright, but avoid the Peroni on draft. It tasted like bud light, had two sips from a pint and that was it.

Last week, we decided to turn our date night into something special with dinner at this Turkish gem followed by a Broadway musical, Newsies, at the Flynn Center. We made a reservation in advance, as this spot is quite popular in the evenings - especially when there's a play happening nearby. The ambiance was inviting and warm, with soft lighting and traditional Turkish decor creating a perfect setting for a romantic evening. The service was exceptional, and our server, Alexandra B., made the experience even more memorable with his attentiveness and friendly demeanor. We started with the Small Meze Platter ($16.99), an excellent choice for sharing. The platter featured haydari, hummus, babaganoush, Turkish salsa, and stuffed grape leaves, all served with soft lavash bread. For those seeking a gluten-free option, fresh-cut veggie sticks are available. Each dip and spread was bursting with flavor, making this a must-try appetizer. For the main course, I chose from the Earthenware Casseroles and ordered the Lamb Guvec ($27.99). The tender, marinated lamb pieces combined with tomato, mushroom, onion, pepper, and eggplant were served sizzling hot, and the aroma alone was irresistible. It was hearty, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the recommended 9oz glass of Vinkara red wine ($16.50). My wife selected the Chicken Adana Kebab ($22.99) from the Traditional Kebabs menu. The mildly spicy, hand-ground chicken seasoned with Turkish maraş pepper and parsley was grilled to perfection and served with Turkish rice pilav, a side of greens, house pickled red cabbage, and marinated onions. She enjoyed every bite and complemented her meal with a 9oz glass of Ancyra white wine ($16.50), which was light and refreshing. To close the evening, we indulged in a classic Turkish dessert, Baklava ($9.99). The layers of fresh phyllo, walnuts, and crushed pistachios, finished with a simple syrup, were the perfect sweet ending to our meal. Istanbul Kebab House continues to impress with its excellent food, cozy ambiance, and impeccable service. Whether it's a casual dinner or a special occasion, this restaurant is a must-visit in Burlington. We'll definitely be back again!

Service was good, attentive, didn't make us feel rushed. However, what are we doing with the pricing? One overly crispy potato latke (like only hard extremely crunchy potato in the entire ONE latke) that cost $16 lol ... I have to laugh. You must be kidding me. It was probably 1/4 of a potato with a nice yogurt like topping and some fermented turmeric diced cauliflower. But that ONE, SMALL, latke $16??? Pretty awful. Do better. I'm so sad this is what's happening with this restaurant... please, at least give your customers a reasonably fair serving size if you're going to charge such exorbitant amounts. A new dish, a red pepper flatbread with burrata and tomato and basil. Very good. Again, extremely over priced. The size of one medium piece of naan bread with nice toppings and it cost $24. I beg to differ. These are all snacks and some are snacks for mouse sized humans, so tiny (referring to latke) I truly don't understand. I will reiterate, food quality is good and food always seems fresh. That's about all I can continue to confirm/say positive from my last two experiences over the last 3-5 months. I am sad.

Luckily we scored a nice table outside and got to enjoy the bustling WRJ street scene as we dined. We started with some cold mezze, babaganoush and ezme. I liked both but the ezme could have been a little spicier. The lavash (which you need to order separately) was very good and the perfect vehicle for delivering the mezzes to your mouth. For an entree, we split a beyti, which is an adana kebab wrapped in lavash. My Turkish husband said it was okay...I liked it all right as well. The adana was good but the lavash was underdone and very doughy. It reminded me of undercooked crescent rolls from Pillsbury. The lavash we had with our appetizers was perfect so this was a little odd. Additionally, although the beyti was served with a yogurt, there is often a tomato sauce on top of the dough and there wasn't any tomato sauce on the dish. I get that people do things differently, but I think a tomato sauce would have added some flavor and acidity to the dish. It was fine but I think the traditional tomato sauce would have kicked it up a notch. They were out of kunefe so we passed on dessert. I think this is a good place and I liked the vibe and the service. Would definitely come back but would probably try a different dish. We will still commit to supporting Turkish businesses wherever we find them and I was happy to see so many people here enjoying their meals.
