It's nice to see this little Haven of Vietnamese food in area and state that they probably have very few Asian offerings. The dining area is very nice. Looks like it was somebody's home more than 100 years ago. The fireplace is now is a frame for Asian style decorations. The one very active and friendly agent lady was fast and it was amazing to see her work the room. We saw Boba drinks and sweet shakes but since we don't eat those, we didn't order any. read more

I've never had a bad meal here. It's one of my favorite local restaurants. The food is so fresh and delicious. They offer free, hot tea with every meal. They also have a large list of refreshing boba and bursting bubble teas and juices. My favorites here are the Pho Beef Special, the seafood Vietnamese Crêpe, all their rolls are excellent. Service is always excellent; they all work so hard and it's a got a very busy to go operation, so definitely be prepared to order from home to go or patiently wait with a nice boba tea. read more

The place is very homey. You can tell by the interior and furniture that customers feel at home and are comfortable enough rearrange furniture as they liked. That said, it wouldn't be possible without the polite servers. Now onto the food. I must've not gotten their specialties cause my food experience was very basic. First, I would not recommend the port rolls to anyone. Get any of the other rolls and I'm sure you'll have a better time. Mine were just pork wrapped in floor like a dry and bland pork wellington with the outside being flour. It's like my first attempt at cooking a spring roll except veggies have natural juices which make the rolls more exciting. The pho was okay. The beef was pretty tough which tells me the meat was probably shocked. Veggies were very flavorful. As soon as I tasted the veggies, I immediately wished I ordered a veggie-heavy dish from this location. I can tell they used fresh green ingredients which most likely means their green dishes are very flavorful. If I come back, I would avoid the protein-heavy dishes and stick to their veggie ones :) read more

Come to Pho Capital, Pho sure. Came here after shopping at The Get Up around the corner and the woman working here recommended this place for lunch. It's a little off the beaten path in an unassuming location, but inside it's cozy and welcoming. The service here was prompt and friendly, and everything we ate was delicious. The pork spring rolls are crispy and come with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce. The shrimp rice rolls were fresh and chewy. I had the spicy beef and pork noodle soup special which hit the spot on this freezing cold day. The chicken curry rice was my brother had was also perfectly done and the Vietnamese pancake my mom ordered was totally different than anything I've ever tried before - highly recommend! We were in VT for three days and ate here two of them. The space is small but when the weather is nice they have a large outdoor seating area in the back. Lots of GF options and plenty of items that can be made vegan by subbing out chicken broth or fish sauce. Wait staff were friendly and helpful. Service was super fast. We visited at a busy time - it was clear that they were understaffed for how many people were dining in. It took 15+ minutes for the staff to take our orders, over 40 minutes for the food the arrive, and we had to wait 20+ minutes in line to get our check. When we got our waters, we noticed that one of the cups had some stuff floating inside, so we asked for a new glass of water -- this request was never met despite reminding the staff multiple times throughout the meal. The food itself was decent, nothing crazy but decent for what you will find in Vermont. The restaurant itself is nice, offering both indoor and outdoor seating, and located in a convenient location. I want to preface the food was great the reason for this review is my server Kieth was beyond rude. When I was seated and handed a menu I told him politely that I was ready to order he said back rudely what a minute. This alone wouldn't be enough for such a bad review but then as I was ordering I asked for him to mix the watermelon and strawberry bubble teas for me in which her responded he can't it's against there policy. I told him "I'll pay for two separate ones just mix them for me please."he rudely replied "they wouldn't be able do that." I then said "the customers always right could you please do it I don't see why not if I pay for both." In which he replied "not at this store!" Suprisedly pretty good pho in Vermont. We didn't know what to expect but we knew that we want some pho and rice. Vietnamese food is one of our favorite and to go food back in NY. Pho was really good. It was a cold and rainy day so pho was do the trick. Spring roll was good. The only complain was my pork chop came boneless and was on the burnt side. Chicken with rice was breast meat which is something we are not used to but not bad. Big shout out to the guys that run floor. They are super nice and courteous almost never heard of in NY Vietnamese restaurant. I will be back to Vermont next winter for skiing so will you soon. read more

I will admit I did not have super high expectations going into the restaurant (at the risk of sounding snobby, I'm from the Bay Area where there are plenty of good Vietnamese food options, so I just felt like I'd likely be disappointed), but I was pleasantly surprised! Parking wasn't too bad, as we were able to get a spot 1-2 blocks away relatively quickly. I went with my partner and his brother, and we all got the Bun Bo Hue. The soup had enough flavor and it had a little kick to it, but it wasn't too spicy. There was also enough meat--I've been to places where it's all noodle with barely any meat, so the balance was good. I got a honeydew bubble tea, which tasted just like what I had in San Francisco as a kid! Nostalgic and refreshing. My partner and his brother got the Vietnamese coffee, which they never had before, and enjoyed it. One tip is that if you want it hot, you should probably specify it. When they ordered with the server, he brought it out iced, which is how most people take it, but he brought it back in and remade it hot for them, which we really appreciated. We were there in late December on a weekday afternoon around 1-2 PM, but it was still pretty packed! Service and food was a bit on the slow side, but to be fair, there was only one server working the tables and the register. Even if it was on the slow side, service quality was great, as was the food. Will be back if I'm in the area and craving Vietnamese food. read more

We ordered our dish without fish sauce, we get our tofu dish and it taste overwhelmingly like the ocean and fishy. So we tell them this, and they decide to gaslight us and tell us that they didn't put any fish sauce in there. Well that's all fine and dandy that you think you didn't put fish sauce in it, but if not fish sauce, where is that flavor coming from? We left the dish on the table so you are welcome to try it for yourself when you clean it up and see. All we wanted was to have this dish that was prepared incorrectly off our bill, it didn't need to be such a standoff, and we will not be returning to eat here, I value my self worth too much to be treated like that. This place is legit! I tried the pho dac biet (a combination of beef cuts) and thought it was just about as good as any upper-middle tier pho place you'd find in a larger city. The vegetarian pho was relatively flavorless, but that's not uncommon. Server was super nice, food came out quickly, and the music was crankin' Top 50.
