We recently tried Yellow Yolk, as we were staying in Pompano for a few days. The experience was pleasant enough and the food was average for a breakfast place - nothing too fancy or involved; it came out hot and tasted fresh. The service was a bit convoluted since we had 2 or 3 different wait staff helping us - one took the drink order which never came, another one took the food order and we ordered drinks again, then the food was delivered by the first person and then a couple of other wait staff (not management) did table checks. To be fair, it was a Sunday morning and the place got real busy as soon as we sat down. For as busy as they were, however, the food came out relatively fast. Prices were reasonable / very competitive against the likes of First Watch or Another Broken Egg. As for the space and ambiance - it was clean, wide open and comfortable w/ tall ceilings, and a nice, modern vibe. Very welcoming! We would probably go back again if we're in the area, as we would already know what to expect - a solid and reasonably priced breakfast experience in a pleasant ambiance. read more

We got seated quickly on a Saturday morning and were able to switch to a big corner booth on our request. Food came out super quick. It was ok breakfast food, nothing extraordinary. Side Avocado came from frozen and they brought it covered with oil and pepper, so I sent it back and was reimbursed. Cute interior, we loved our egg shaped place settings. read more

Had the opening breakfast special for 2 for $22- I had 2 eggs sunny side up, 2 pancakes (which were the perfect size for an adult), bacon, and home fries. My aunt had the same but with toast. Sister had the eggs Benedict Florentine without the English muffin. All very good! The "surprises" were small water bottles being served instead of tap water, and Smuckers syrup in a squeeze bottle for the pancakes. That said, for the price and ambience, it's a win for Pompano Beach! Also dog friendly outside. Try it out! read more

I frequent Yellow Yolk and while the food is consistently good, don't expect your order to be correct. I asked for well done bacon and it came out not done at all. I immediately asked for it to be cooked more and then never received it. This is not the first time I have asked for a specific way to prepare my order and it is wrong. This time, I didn't receive my full order and the manager could have cared less. The wait staff is very good and everyone makes mistakes but it's the way that Yellow Yolk handles those mistakes is the real problem. After I brought it to the server's attention that she never brought the bacon, I asked that it just be taken off the menu since I never got it. After talking to her manager, the server brought the bacon with the check and said her manager won't do anything. He never even came to the table to apologize. Bottom line, the manager could NOT care less if you receive the food you paid for. I never write reviews but I wish I had seen this review before I wasted my time and money at Yellow Yolk. And given the many choices of restaurants on the beach in Pompano and the cost to eat out these days, don't waste your money or time with Yellow Yolk!!!! read more

May 2024, place is large with plenty of booths and tables outside. Love the decor bright and colorful. They have 4 large TV screens over the kitchen. Our Server Izzy was pleasant and the service was pretty quick. I asked for toast which she forgot to bring out to me, but no worries she took it off the bill. I ordered 2 eggs over easy and they were a little overcooked. However the Blueberry Pancakes were delicious and they have 100 % Organic Maple Syrup (SAPJACK - brand) on each table. The bacon was ok, not top quality. But, the sausage and potatoes were delicious. One issue we noticed is that there were a few flies flying around inside by the table which was a little annoying when trying to eat. They have 2 bathrooms and the bathroom I was in could have been cleaned better. All and all, I would come back and try the scrambled eggs or lunch. read more

The rehydrated potatoes and eggs from the carton were on par with amusement park food, overpriced and bland. Gonna have to give this place 5 stars. I'm a pain in the ass and I found nothing to complain about. Good breakfast spot, food was tasty. I guess my only complaint (picking at stuff here) is the mini bottles of water. I'd rather get a glass, but south florida water is nasty so whatever. My other 'issue' is the prices. For 2024 it's actually relatively cheap. I don't know how they make money. All 3 of us really enjoyed our breakfast, we'll be back. read more

I was visiting the in laws in South Florida when I stopped in for breakfast. The location was inviting with wall to floor windows and crisp new yellow decor to wake anyone up to start the day. I was greeted by a courteous and charming young lady who couldn't be more helpful if she tried. She was attentive and informing as I asked questions about the menu and the restaurant. The food was good, my all American waffle was loaded with fresh fruit and cooked to perfection. My wife had a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon added that was delish! I highly recommend this spot if you are in Pompano Beach anywhere near Atlantic Ave and the intercoastal. You won't be disappointed. I will definitely return on my next visit to SF and am looking forward to the 2 new restaurants being built next store on the intercoastal! read more

Beautiful new building very bright and tastefully done. Very friendly help and excellent menu with fair pricing. We were a table of two.. I had an omelet that was delicious, however the home fries were cold and were saturated in grease and inedible and toast half toasted but good. You are in a very competitive area for the breakfast market and i feel you need to cook and cut up your own home fries and season them properly--they need to be greatly improved! Sarah our waitress was lovely and offered to bring me something else but I was full. My friend had a BLT that was fine but the French fries were half cooked and not crispy or hot. I will give it another try as the pancakes looked delicious. Hopefully you will be able to to work these growing pains out. read more

What a great find! Excellent service, fast hot breakfast-very good and real maple syrup for my pancakes! Not very noisy either. Will be back
