This was our first time visiting the Nauti-Dawg even though I have heard about it for years. I read on Instagram they were having a "Steel Drum" player this evening (Wednesday) for Marina night which includes discounted burgers, wings, and a few other items. SOLD! I gathered my husband and son and headed off for a new experience. First off the atmosphere is very nice and peaceful. We love the colorful buildings and the views. We entered and met Sandy, the nicest yet down to earth hostess. She greeted us and walked us to tables toward the back which would accompany 3 people. This was away from the Steel Drums which was the main reason we were visiting the establishment. I mentioned I had called previously to make sure the steel drums were definitely playing tonight and we really wanted to be seated closer to watch and hear the entertainment. All the seats close to where he was were 2 top tables or the bar but my son is 12- so that was a "no." She then said we could sit at 2 tables but we couldn't move the chairs. We said that was GREAT as it was close to the music and we didn't mind sitting in a "line" as that's kinda like sitting at the bar. We were very pleased and had the nicest server who was very attentive and helpful. I think the manager was a little confused as to why Sandy sat our family like that but what she did was provide excellent customer service and helped our family have a peaceful relaxing evening. And, for that - Sandy is the best and say "Hi" to her next time you go there. She will do her best to assist you. We will be back to the Nauti-Dawg. The food was really good and very filling. Customer service was outstanding. And, the atmosphere is very relaxing. 5 stars from our family! read more

First, our server, I don't remember her name was a sweetheart. For management, we were there on May 2nd, my daughter and myself and we sat outside. Definitely want to give credit to the server. We both had the rum punch and it was delicious. We ordered the conch fritters but the fryer was broken so we had to change. We then chose the fish dip. I did not see that it tasted like much of anything. Don't recommend it. I ordered the mahi sandwich with coleslaw and my daughter a burger and caesars salad. No fryer, so no fries. The fish was fresh, but again, not much taste. It was ok. My daughter liked her burger but again bland. The coleslaw was really good. The ambience was very nice. I think if they seasoned the food more, it would be a really good place. read more

Second time here, still an awesome place to visit. This time, came on a Sunday for brunch. They were very busy as to be expected on a beautiful Sunday. We had 6 adults and a toddler. We were seated within 40 minutes. There was music, sun, a nice breeze and just smiles all around. There were multiple celebrations going on. A birthday and a girls brunch. Shemal our server did a fine job. Even confirming if we wanted Bloody Mary (vodka) or Maria (tequila). Everyone enjoyed their brunch. From blackened salmon sandwich, lobster Benedict, salmon Benedict and children's eggs, toast and bacon. I love to visit when I'm in town. Continue to recommend! read more

After an afternoon boating down the intercostal, we stopped off at the Nauti Dawg for a hearty dinner on the waterfront. Seafood leads the menu here, with my ahi tuna prepared excellently and the smoked mahi-mahi fish dip standing out as an excellent app. As predicted by the name, the restaurant is dog-friendly, and even has a special dog menu just for the pups who accompany to the outdoor areas. My only detraction from this meal was that the spicy cucumber and onion salad was drowning in dressing and coated the palate, which made it more difficult to enjoy the fish. This dish also didn't include rice or anything to soak up sauce, so I had no respite from the salad dressing. I would potentially suggest to the restaurant team to look at this salad and make it fresher/lighter and/or to add a starch to this dish. read more

I tried the nauti-dawn Marina cafe for the first time last week for Sunday brunch . I knew this was a popular spot , so a friend go there early ;before 11 to reserve a table for the 5 of us . We all ordered from the brunch menu - I had an omelette and chose avocado - spinach and tomato inside - I chose fresh fruit and multigrain toast it was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Another friend ordered pancakes and she sent them back due to the insides being a bit raw . My other friends had the crab and nova Benedict's and seemed to enjoy them. THEY have live music during brunch but we couldn't hear it since we were sitting away from DJ .the setting is beautiful- right on the water - great photo ops . We brought our puppy along, and the first thing the staff did was bring her a bowl of water and get her comfortable. They even have a full puppy menu--yes, you read that right! Scrambled eggs, hamburger, mac and cheese, and more. Our pup was in heaven. (Note: pups are only allowed outside, but with the giant fans keeping things cool, it was perfect for us.) The service was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and welcoming to both people and pups. We stumbled upon this local spot while looking for the ferry over to Cap's. The view of the marina alone was worth the trip. Service was good, not overly hovering but fine. The food was basic. My fish was more of a corn meal bread crumb batter than the lighter beer batter I expected. It was dry. I also substituted the spicy cucumber salad for fries. It was soggy and the dressing did not taste like it was fresh. My husband also got a fish sandwich but chose grouper. Unfortunately it was full of bones so he didn't eat much. We hadn't eaten in days and I honestly needed a drink. We packed him up and when we arrived they were quite busy but they have a comfortable seating area to wait in. When it was our time to be seated we had a perfect table right next to the water. They also have a cute little gift shop you can browse while you wait. We started with the Strawberry Shortcake and Peach Breeze cocktails which thankfully actually had alcohol in them. Then we ordered the Avocado Toast, Coconut French Toast, bacon, and Breakfast Potatoes. The food and drinks were great and while we ate we enjoyed the live music and beautiful view. A young lady came over and took a picture of my daughter holding Sunny which she presented in a frame and I purchased it. As we we were getting ready to pay and leave a gentleman named John Sullivan stopped by to pet Sunny. We started chatting and when he heard why we were there he picked up the bill. That kindness meant so much to me. Speaking to him and his beautiful gesture gave me strength. I appreciate John and everyone who stopped by our table that day to offer consoling words. I am wondering if any other customers have had this situation? We enjoyed the afternoon at the Cafe and returned home. However, that evening both dogs that ordered chicken off the menu became ill, the one having eaten most of the chicken was hospitalized. What is very strange is that this dog is 18 months old and has had chicken twice a day forever. When contacting the establishment, they were very dismissive. I am still awaiting some response if the chicken was old, had garlic or other issues. Awaiting fecal test results, perhaps this will offer some conclusion? Very disappointed as we enjoyed the day, service etc. but my dog being hospitalized with literally no other activity that day, and the second dog having the same stool and vomiting issues...in a place with a 'Dog Menu'? Depending on what happens next, I will post the final Vet and Animal Hospital bill. read more

My wife and I had business in the area and decided to stop by Nautidawg for a late lunch. We were greeted by the friendly host and within 2 mins we were seated out on the deck with superb waterfront views. Our waiter was very friendly and brought us our drinks quickly. It was very busy so it took a while to place our order. The food came out and although it was ok, it was rather bland and flavorless. Combined with the odor of sour garbage wafting to us every min or two, it was less than enjoyable. Great location, friendly staff but food leaves a bit to be desired and the smell of garbage is never a good addition to any dining experience. read more

The eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection! Just the right ratio of salmon sauce and muffin. The service was good although a bit slow as maybe they were short-staffed. We sat on the balcony and had a beautiful view of the marina, with pelicans flying overhead and many many types of fish in the water!! The place is sprawling with plenty of seating. Had an amazing recent experience at Nauti Dawg with our family of 4. We arrived via boat and staff helped us dock. We were greeted by wonderful Sandy who brought our 2 year old toddler fish food to feed the cat fish! He had so much fun, he fed the catfish all throughout our lunch. My husband and I had delicious fish, stone crab. Sandy gave our 2 year old and 1 year old toys to play with while eating to give my husband and I a little breather to enjoy our food! Sweet potato fries - 5/5, these were excellent, perfectly crunchy fries which isn't always the case with sweet potato fries, job well done chef! My friend got the beet salad, which looked like canned beets cut up on a small bed of arugula and some goat cheese. I would not recommend getting that. The ambiance was lovely, sitting outside under a covered patio and looking out over the water at the pelicans and then feeding the fish afterwards with bread the waiter provided. read more
