I was feeling excited to see an establishment that was still serving breakfast around 12n. I ordered the traditional. I was surprised when it came out so fast. They gave me a ton of leftover powdered eggs. I wd say the breakfast was ehhhh, but I guess I should've explained I wanted fresh, real eggs scrambled soft. Anyway I thought I should get something to take out as well for later. Big mistake!!!! I've been here in Gardiner for a week with another week to go. I'm so ready to go home right now! It's astonishing that such a beautiful place can be ruined by such greedy people. Everything here is such a money grab. You hear all the reports of the millions who visit here every year; then why is everyone so ready and willing to rip the traveler off...?? My second bill came to $30!!!!! For a tiny fake quesadilla and $13 for a strawberry milkshake!!!! Yes, the kind and size u get at McDonald's for $2.99! I also got gouged the other day at another place; $13 for a burger and fries! I'm staying at a Super 8 motel, that I booked third party. The advertisement said they offer free breakfast. I was expecting the typical stuff u see everywhere but here they invented a new wrinkle; they have free coffee and muffins in the lobby but right next door in the typical dining area they are SELLING the breakfast that u get at other motels for free!!!And it just goes on and on! When I get back home and speak to my family and friends, I'll tell them it's an awesome trip; the beauty is sadly spoiled by an infrastructure of greedy grubby businessmen who want to fleece you in every way possible. If I didn't have a string of non refundable bookings on my itinerary for my drive home, I'd just leave now. I've seen 80% of both Yellowstone and Grand Teton and I'm totally fed up with these greedy businesses!!!! read more

Like any tourist spot, it's the location which can sometimes be way overpriced. I got this $16 breakfast to go during Memorial Weekend during my Yellowstone trip. I'd say to others save your money and wait until Yellowstone Pizza next door opens up. It will be well worth it. Their pizza is pretty good, and well, isn't cheap (they only have one size) it was delicious compared to this. Undercooked bacon, hardly any potatoes, and hardly toasted bread. Staff were cordial and nice but I was hungry and mainly interested in the food. I should have drove in the park to Mamoth Hot Springs and got breakfast there. read more

Absolutely perfect lunch spot! We had the bison burger, tacos, pulled pork, sloppy joes, grilled cheese, and veggie green panini and all of us thought each dish was beyond delicious and different compared to other food options in the area! The atmosphere was incredibly friendly and service was top notch. The only bad thing I have to say is that they didn't sell jars of their special sauce or merchandise with their logo on it. I would have bought both in a heartbeat. Stop if you're in Yellowstone...way better than lodge food! read more

Awesome spot right next to the Yellowstone National Park North Entrance. We stopped on our way in, and again the next day on our way out and both times the drinks were excellent!! The two stars are just because the ice cream was delicious and the portions were generous. Apart from that, the service was, without question, the worst I've ever received. I walked in and simply asked for, "Two coffees please". The young lady working all but scoffed at me while saying, "... Care to tell me what KIIND of coffees?? Orrr?" After telling her I just wanted two drip coffees she gave me more attitude when asking me what sizes I wanted. After getting a gigantic ice cream I asked, "this is just ONE scoop?!" She barked yes at me and pointed to the register. Then while trying to figure out whether to insert my card or swipe it she literally raised her voice to me to, "press DEBIT OR CREDIT before swiping". I'm a barista... Literally the best coffee shop!! I wish we had this in LA. We came here before the whole flooding in Yellowstone. We came to this shop everyday and ordered the huckleberry shake and the hot chocolate wow wow I sure miss it. They also serve hot food, ice cream and pastries. So delicious! Went here on my trip to Yellowstone. OMG is all I can say about the ice cream and waffle cones. I had a few shots of espresso too which were also good. I will definitely be coming back the next time I visit Yellowstone. Now back to the ice cream - it was over all the best ice cream I've ever had in my life. I've been searching high and low for ice cream as good as this ever since I've been here. (Izzy's Ice cream in St Paul MN is as close as I've come to finding ice cream this good.) The Perk makes their ice cream homemade and their waffle cones are made fresh everyday. The best waffle cone I've ever had in my life too! I tried both the peppermint ice cream and the moose tracks. Our whitewater rafting guide said he eats the ice cream as much as possible because its so good. Very HIGHLY recommended! read more

This review is for the coffee - haven't tried the ice cream there yet. I would give the coffee 3 stars (was a decent cup) and the service 1. Not sure if the worker was having a bad day but I was only 1 of 2 people there and it took her over 7 minutes to say hi. Then, without a smile told me it would be another 4-5 minutes before she could help me. This is also a pharmacy so I understand the timing needed to fill prescriptions but a simple smile would have been huge. I traveled to Yellowstone from another part of Montana & it seemed pretty obvious she wasn't happy dealing with tourists (she referred to park goers as "idiots"). I only hope this unhappy worker wasn't the owner and she can show a friendlier smile to others. read more

My wife and I recently spent a night in Gardiner on our Yellowstone visit. We visited Yellowstone Perk twice....the first time was for ice cream... The second time was for morning coffee as we headed to the Park. They serve Wilcoxson Ice Cream, something I had never heard of before....evidently, they are a regional ice cream maker in Montana. Anyway, Wilcoxson is among the best ice cream I've ever had...incredible. The morning iced coffee was excellent too. And, the service both times was impeccable. read more
