I so wanted to give this place a better rating. The service is great, but the location, food and ambiance sucks. I'm giving two stars for the service, which was fine. We sat outside with my two dogs and smoked cigars while the waitress took care of us and kept bringing iced tea. She was friendly and professional. Now about the restaurant. It is located behind a car lot and a motel, in the same building as the car lot's office. You wouldn't know that it's open unless you walk up to it. The waitress said that is was the oldest restaurant in Fresno. What, and the town just grew around it? On a Sunday afternoon, there were hardly any other customers. And I have to say that it's probably because the food isn't so good. The highlight was the homemade hummus, which was good. However, the chicken swarma was served on a big toasted hamburger bun. The rice pilaf was like yellow Uncle Ben's rice with some thin noodles. I was very disappointed in the poor quality of the Middle Eastern food. They don't even have the yogurt drink. Overall, a big FAIL.

    Chicken and lamb plate specialty.

Pretty good Mediterranean food. They give you a reasonable amount of food. The lamb meat was average, while chicken kabob and rice pilaf was very good. Not sure if it is pita bread but you also get a side of great tasting toast. It was missing that world famous garlic sauce though, not sure if they forgot it or do not have it.

Yemeni styled cooked fish. Unbelievably good!! Yumm!!!!!

Best place for authentic Yemeni and Mediterranean food. If you long for authentic Yemeni food than this is the place to go. No other place can bring you back to Yemen like this place. The Salta is out of this world good. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. Another favorite dish is their Yemeni style cooked fish. It's been so long since I had eaten fish cooked in the Yemeni style that it seemed like I was eating fish for the first time ever. The fish tasted so fresh and good it literally matches what I have eaten in the Yemeni cities of Aden and or Al-Hodeidah. Every time I'm in the Fresno/Central Valley I will make this place a must place to visit. Please drop by and give this establishment a try you won't regret it.

There is no seating and the store was empty, with the singular worker hidden at the back of the store somewhere. We ordered a classic milk tea light ice, 75% sweet ($6) and a green milk tea with boba, no ice and regular sweet ($6.50). We were surprised by the cost, since rhe menu prices ranged from $4.00-4.50 and must have been un-updated. The regular size is around 24oz large. Both of our drinks didnt taste like tea at all, mostly just sweetened water with a touch of powdered creamer. The boba pearls themselves were not bad, sweetened and chewy. The green milk tea had a strange off taste to it, and we ended up throwing it away after a few sips. The classic milk tea wasn't enjoyable but we were able to keep drinking it. Overall, definitely would not recommend this place for boba.

The gentleman was friendly and beamed with pride to list off the menu. I selected the gyro and a diet coke. My order was prepared timely and pricing was extremely reasonable. My gyro was divine! The pita was soft and warm and the meat flavorful topped with FRESH additions like lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. The creamy tzatziki was the glue that held the delicious meal together. I will definitely be back to have a go at their other menu options.

Unfortunately, the Chicken Shawarma was noticeably dry and although there was a trace of sauce, it wasn't clear what it really was. In the Shawarma was a heaping amount of white onions, which I personally didn't mind however others may not. A key miss was no garlic sauce included, which is a staple with similar dishes. As for the Hadramout Home Bread, it was extremely dry and tough. Definitely more of a workout than a meal. I ended up tossing it! The fries were definitely the only standout. The Chicken Shawarma and Hadramout Bread definitely missed the mark, with their dryness.
