Inside is an adorable cafe area where you can either sit at small tables or seated on the ground to share pastries or coffee. We wanted lunch so we didn't sit there this time, but it looked like such a vibe. The mango juice is more of a smoothie with some seasoning on the inside. It took a little while to get to us, but it tasted super fresh, like they just picked it off the tree! They gave us some lamb soup and that warmed me up right away! Although we all kept dropping the lemon in it. The fattoush salad was so crispy, tangy, savory and good. One of the best fattoush salads I've ever had. I had the fahsah and bread (I forgot the name! I think it begins with an r?). I was not prepared for how much bread it had. It was so fluffy and yummy. The fahsah was kind of like a lamb birria. But shredded like carnitas. Super flavorful and delicious. HIGHLY recommend. We also tried the kebabs and chicken shawarma and WOW. The rice with those were delicious. Some of the best rice I've ever had. Super yummy and delicious. The hummus was also great. The server was really helpful is helping us decide what to order since this was quite new to us and we were happy with everything! Yemen Cafe and Restaurant is a hidden gem! I'd recommend going out of your way to enjoy this incredible food. We ordered the lamb fahsah with rashoosh bread and a hummus appetizer plate. Don't skip out on the coffee either! The lamb fahsah was very delicious and almost like a stew with beautiful deep flavor. The spices were everything! Enjoying the Jubani coffee was so good as mine had cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom. I also tried the Yemeni Qahwah which is ginger and cardamom which tasted much lighter and the ginger really shined! Went to check this place out because of the yelp reviews I read. And all I can say it did not disappoint!!! The food was 10/10. Everything was flavorful, well seasoned, and fresh tasting. The service was great the young lady that works there made some great recommendations. I had the falafel plate and a gyro. My friend had the beef with rice plate. But the star of the show was THE BREAD!!! Caution it is HUGE for one person to eat but the poppy seeds, the fluffy ,crispness, warm and fresh taste is amazing!! Definitely recommend to check it out!! One thing you should know it does take a while for your food to come out but I imagine because they're back there making everything from scratch. Please go and support! read more

First time here, heard about the spot on FB we had realized the place used to be an Indian restaurant. Which was also good. But apparently this Yemen cafe opened up 8 months ago according to the server. I didn't catch her name but she was friendly and very helpful. Food was worth every cent. We had plenty leftover. And had a few desserts baklava and chocolate cake and another pistachio type Dubai dessert. All very good. We definitely will be back. And if you haven't gone please do. Everything was very fresh - made to order, and wrap was very flavorful. I asked for bread with the hummus and out came an enormous freshly baked flatbrrad! A friend of mine took me to this place, which I've never been to a Yemen restaurant before so it was new for me. We arrived there right about lunch time so it wasn't that busy. We ordered the Lamb Boram and the fish with a side of veggies. Each dish came with a soup dish and a salad to start. The soup had some great flavor to it and was the perfect size. The salad wa also good and size was perfect as well. The fish was huge, good seasoning, and tender. The veggies were cooked perfect and a nice flavor to them. The lamb dish was flavorful, tender and juicy, and broth had some good flavor to it as well. Both dishes had plenty of food. The naan bread is huge and also good. We were to full to try any desserts. For dinner we ordered a shawarma plate and a beef kabobs plate (both with rice & salad), & 1 rashoosh bread. To drink, we had 1 iced Chai tea & 1 araysi. Everything was delicious! The rice, hummus & baba ganesh were so well seasoned & the meats were juicy & flavorful. The bread was large enough for 3-4 people to eat from. The servings were large, 1kabob with 4 nice pieces of meat & a generous serving of shawarma. And the drinks! The iced Chai was so smooth & perfect it served as a palate cleanser. And the araysi (a smoothie blended with banana, mango, & dates, topped with sliced apple, sliced banana, walnut & almond slices), was so perfectly balanced, it was my drink & dessert. If I had to find a downside, the parking lot was a bit crowded, but this place is worth it. The staff were friendly and so helpful answering all the questions we had. First, let me lead with the fact that I had never eaten Yemeni food before going to Yemen Cafe. When my friends and I entered the Cafe we were greeted warmly. After explaining that we'd never eaten Yemini food before, the greeter was excited to introduce us to it. It did not disappoint. The flavors were amazing and whilst we were waiting for our food, which was freshly prepared, we watched and Lear how to eat it from other patrons. The experience was good overall. It was also educational. There are beautiful pictures of Yemen everywhere. One poster even explained Yemen and the history of coffee. That's the only thing I didn't try; the coffee, and Yemen, I learned, is famous for its coffee. On my next visit I'll go early enough in the day to enjoy that. What a gem! Was looking for lunch and was so pleased to find this restaurant. The service was friendly and the food was delicious! I was able to try the chicken shawarma, rise, and salad and of course the bread. It was all five stars! The venue is a little cold but they have a space heater so I asked them to start it up and it warmed me up right away. The Yemeni latte was also delicious! It was flavored with cinnamon and cardamom. The boiling iron pot of lamb was meaty and flavorful; full of shredded lamb. The rashoosh bread was huge! Like the size of an 16-inch pizza. It was fun to eat with parts that were fluffy and toothy and other parts that were crispy. A great accompaniment with the fahsah. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is a whole different story. Bright colors and playful decorative accents everywhere making it a pleasant dining environment. I love middle eastern food, so I was delighted to find Yemen Cafe so close by. We had the chicken on hummus plate with rice, salad, Yemeni bread and asked for the hot sauce on the side which I think was a zhoug. The bread is giant, thin, chewy with a smoky char. The grape leaves stuffed with rice were sooo good. I also took home assorted desserts which were all exquisite. What a hidden gem!
