I had such a great experience with Yerli's alterations! I honestly thought my Jeep Wrangler tire cover was beyond fixing -- the strings had gotten sucked back inside and I was convinced nobody would be able to get them out. I needed a last minute alteration done on a dress and Yerli's came to the rescue. I called at least 10 places before someone recommended I get in touch with Yerli's. I called in advance, explained my situation and verified they could support before heading to Meadowood Mall. Yerli's is right inside the NE entrance. I was able to get into a try on room, the dress pinned, paid, and out the door in about 10 minutes. There were no concerns with the 6 day turn around (everywhere else in Reno was 2-3 weeks). I picked up my dress on the day and time promised and it was ready to go and also steamed and wrinkle free. Couldn't be more pleased! I took in two sport coats that needed sleeves shortened. Yerli was recommended by the store I bought one of the coats from. I realize I was walking in cold without an appointment but I was definitely treated like a bother rather than a potential long term customer. It took a week to get the jackets back and I should have checked them at the shop but I didn't. One of the sleeves is all bunched up and the four buttons are misaligned. I don't trust them to fix it properly so will go elsewhere and pay to have it redone. I also notice in the reviews, anytime a customer has an issue, it's always the customer's fault. read more

Yerli made the alterations to my wedding dress in September 2020. At the time she had just lost her store front due to the landlord of the strip mall increasing rent, so she was working out of her apartment. (It looks like she has a store front again as I write this review.) Even though she wasn't working in the most ideal conditions Yerli was very professional and prompt. Plus, her kiddos were very respectful of their mom working while I was at their apartment. Haha! My dress didn't have too many customizations. The first fitting was relatively quick--maybe 30-40 minutes. I felt I needed boning added to the bodice to look a little more fit in my photos (shocker, I did NOT hit my fitness goals during 2020). I also had tulle wings (in lieu of a veil) that I wanted to easily and discreetly attach and unattach to the spaghetti straps of the dress. She was able to complete this in about a week. I went back for a fitting and decided that I wanted to be able to bring up the length for my first dance. Yerli added eye-hooks to the underside of the dress and I had my final dress about a week later. I had kind of delayed getting my alterations booked ahead of time because of the uncertainty that was 2020, so I was super appreciative that Yerli was able to work on my dress on such short notice. It would have been nice to have the alteration process feel a little bit more "celebratory" but everyone was having a crazy time in 2020, so I was grateful to just have a beautiful dress in time for my wedding. read more

This woman claims to be a seamstress ! What a joke I had to take my dresses back three times she didn't do anything I wanted her to do she took out a zipper and put a bunch of ribbon in the back of my dress that I can't even put on myself . She didn't finish her work she had safety pins in my dress is still when I picked him up twice and she ruined a white robe that I had because she doesn't know how to take clothes in . She cut off a bra inside of one of my dresses when I asked her to just fix it so I could hook it . I paid a ton of money well over $200 and didn't get anything right . Do yourself a favor and don't ever go to the seamstress she's horrible!!! Now she is lying because my dresses were not old I am posting pictures of my red dress that she was supposed to just add material and keep it zipper in it instead she made it a horrible corset with a red flap and the red flap didn't even have a snap on it to hold it in place . Notice in the picture I asked her to please make it so I can hook my bra inside the dress instead she cut all the hooks off my bra . They were not rusted ! On my white robe she was supposed to have my sleeve and instead I got him back the same way with the safety pin in them . Supposed to add material to my white robe and the sleeves hang down like I'm flying like I'm a bird she took it in unevenly and they still hang down . She told me I could get my stuff the day after Thanksgiving and it took her over a month to get everything done or screwed up I should say! The first time I picked up my dresses they were big enough to fit a 300 lb woman and she measured me so I didn't get that so she got one dress right it was a black and silver dress but I had to take it back to her a second time . I also had to take back a red lace dress that was big enough to fit a 300 lb woman and that's after she measured me I weigh 118 lb . I was trying to be nice to her but this infuriates me that she's lying . Yes my stuff is older but it was not falling apart and the hooks were not rusted she just didn't know how to do the work she should have just told me. read more

Customer service sucked. She was rude and had no reason commenting on weight. The dress was paid for and was going to be taken happily but then weight was brought into the conversation. When discontent was expressed she blamed the customer instead of apologizing for even commenting on weight and body type. read more

Ok so i wanted to get my dress altered for prom, all i needed was it to be a but shorter and straps tightened a little. First off, she was on the day phone, had it up to her war while trying to tighten my straps... and It took her a week to do that little of a fix. On top of that she made it shorter than what she had said she would. Oh and i have severe bloating issues so when i went to pick it up, it wouldn't zip up all the way (tbh the dress just didn't fit how it did before) and she said "did you gain weight?" to which i replied "no i dont think so" and she said "no you're wrong you definitely gained weight" And repeated this loudly in the store twice ??? Regardless if i did or not, that is not a professional thing to say, or an okay thing to say in general. What the hell? And it was $90!! Yeah i'm never going back. Took a dress into be altered. Someone (not even sure it was seamstress) took about 10 seconds to pin 1.5 on one side, and i explained that i wanted that much taken in on each side. Felt so lucky to have someone get us in last minute to get the straps of my dress altered for our engagement photos. I took the dress in on Saturday to pick up the following Friday and just needed the straps shortened a little to bring up the chest area. The ladies were kind and pinned me when I dropped it off and the dress was pinned perfectly, but unfortunately was not the case upon pick up/trying on. The straps are much shorter than what was measured and uneven. Even if we wanted to fix the dress I don't see any extra fabric that will allow that nor is the fabric forgiving. I have never, ever written a bad review or complained, but the dress still has tags on it which makes this even more disappointing as it costs over $100. This even feels almost unwearable as it now causes irritation in my underarm. Kind ladies but interesting process as nothing was measured with a tool so proceed with caution. read more

I needed alterations for a Darth Vader Costume that I bought that was way too big. I first went there in July, and I told Yerli's I didn't need it until late October, but she said it would be ready in a week. I called 2 weeks later, and she said to call back the next week. Again, I waited more than a week, and she said again call back in another week. Then I called again and she said it was ready. So I went and they clearly messed up and it was way too small. They measured me and 2 weeks later said to come in a see if it fits now. I didn't know that it was only ready for a fitting, not fully ready to take home. So I drove all the way down there and I still couldn't take it home after 3 trips to the store. So a week goes by and she texted me that it would be ready by Thursday, but I was not really available then, so I texted her back that I would probably wait until Monday to finally pick it up. When I got there, 4 days after it was supposed to be ready, it still wasn't done. I told her I have to drive along way and this wasn't good, so she told me to come back in 20 minutes. So I waisted time in the mall for 20 minutes and went back and it was still another 10 minutes before it was ready. This time it was ok and I took it home. Yerli's is unprofessional in every respect, even in the way she answers the phone, and even though Google says she opens at 10am, she doesn't actually open until 11am. Good thing the first time I went all the way there, I arrived only 10 minutes before they opened and waited. Although in retrospect, maybe if I arrived at 10am, I would have been mad enough to choose another place and avoided all this hassle. read more

She's been able to produce masks that went directly to Renown employees on the frontline of the pandemic. Additionally, Yerli created isolation gowns that are very durable and washable. These folks are the best!!! Reasonably priced: $5 per patch to embroider onto my kids' martial arts Gi, and promise it within 3 days - and then got it to me the next day! Better price and service than cleaners for embroidering stuff! They actually moved from Wells to South McCarran so google maps isn't quite updated.
