Isaac also referred us to an excellent electrician, painter, and stairs railing glass maker (not yet installed) and so far it's been working perfectly. They come when they say they will and get the work done on schedule. Would definitely hire again myself for future projects and highly recommend them to anyone else who needs floor resurfacing, replacement, and coating/finishing.

When he came out to inspect it, I told him very clearly that the repaired area was going to be covered by a rug and that I honestly didn't even care if the new wood matched perfectly, I just wanted the damaged flooring removed and the floor to be solid again. He could easily have taken me at my word and done a perfectly adequate repair. Instead, he went completely above and beyond. He replaced the damaged flooring properly, took the time to do stain tests, carefully selected and matched the wood, and worked to get the color and finish as close to the existing floor as possible. The finished result is remarkable. I know exactly where the repair was made, and even I have to look for it. I genuinely don't think someone walking into the room without knowing about the repair would ever notice it. What impressed me most was the pride he took in his work. I had essentially given him permission to cut corners on the cosmetic side of the job, and he refused to do that. He wanted the repair to look right because that's the standard he holds his own work to, regardless of whether I was going to cover it with a rug. He was also knowledgeable, straightforward and careful throughout the process, and he left me feeling confident that the repair was being done correctly rather than simply made to look good. It's increasingly rare to encounter someone who takes this much personal pride in doing a job properly. They had to redo them TWICE, I had to involve an attorney, and I got a refund. What I didn't get was a proper floor refinishing. However, after all of that, I just had to let it go because I couldn't spend anymore time, energy or money on the problem. I was left with peeling clear coat, can marks from the staining containers, uneven stain distribution and more. Finally in December 2019 I decided to try again before the wood ruined due to no clear coat. I did lots of research and found Marcos and CMC Hardwood Flooring. I waited all of this time to do a review because I wanted to make sure the floors held up and they have! The excellent service starts with a transparent policy with regard to pricing. You get a detailed quote from his website where you can put in different choices and you will know upfront how much it will cost. Marcos himself comes to meet with you. Everything was in writing. These are all details I appreciated. He even told me he didn't think I needed the more expensive final finish but after all I have been through, I wanted it anyway. I paid extra for the highest level final coat to offer maximum protection from my dogs, teenagers, and all of the activities that happen on a daily basis. I am happy to say that the floors have really stood the test of time! Additionally, Marcos and his team were working with me at the height of the pandemic. He was flexible, helpful, and followed all of the health protocols. I had some other tradesmen working who were supposed to finish on a certain date but they ran 3 weeks late. Marcos worked with me to find a solution so I wouldn't lose my spot in his busy schedule. In early January 2020 my floors were completed as promised. Although I found less expensive flooring companies, I chose CMC Hardwood Floors because of their outstanding reviews and because Marcos is an owner/operator. I do not regret my decision. My floors have held up beautifully and Marcos made the entire experience seamless. I waited 3 years to post my review to make sure I got what I paid for and I did!
