I just ordered my 15th anniversary dinner from Yeti to be delivered to my home address because we can't go to the restaurant due to the stay at home Corona virus precautions. I will have to say that they did an outstanding job! And DoorDash was very quick to deliver. Thank you DoorDash and most of all Thank You Yeti! You made a wonderful anniversary dinner for us. Am pissed at my friend for suggesting this place. I get there and am shocked at the prices. I had expected it to be similar to Torch of India, but I got the chicken Tikka lunch "special" that included a small dish of chicken cubes, a small amount of rice and a side salad. With a Lassi to drink and a garlic nan to share, the meal was $25 EACH!!!!! Outrageous when you consider the restaurant smells moldy and the food was very bland. Unfortunately I can't recommend this place. I can, however, recommend Torch of India which serves much better food for their *lunch buffet* for $8. At TOI, there are at least six different entrées with salad, rice, soup, tandoori chicken and garlic nan. And condiments! Absolutely no condiments or anything at Yeti's. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I think it will be out of business soon anyway. read more

First time at Yeti, but I am no stranger to Indian food so I have some familiarity with what and how to order. I like the milder (i.e. non-spicy) selections. Ambiance, I give it Yeti 3 stars as it still has the hallmark of a Lyons. This takes away a little of the intimate feeling and makes it seem like, well, a Lyons with their mundane food. Given that, though, the premises were immaculate and Yeti has spruced up a long shuttered restaurant. There was a sprinkling of wall décor showing Nepalese life. Our booth faced a picture of Elvis speaking to the Queen of Nepal circa 1960. Who woulda known? Food, I give it 5 stars as each dish was perfect. Especially, the freshly baked naan. We had three kinds of naan and each was huge in size, and warm from the oven. My entrée was the chicken kebab and it was super. The chicken was big and had to be cut in half Wife had the chicken vindaloo and said it was good but to my liking much too spicy. Prices, it seems to be a quantum jump more than the other restaurants in the area, and I am not so sure Santa Rose will embrace paying these high prices on a consistent basis. I would have give a solid 5 stars but because of the location and the pricing structure it is down to my 4 star rating. But, I will return and try some other selections. Not worth $20 for lunch buffet! Selection was very standard and favors not overly impressive. Papadam was extremely salty. Raita very sweet. Chicken tikka was dry. Service: didn't offer a high hair or booster so our 11 month old climbed all over the booth. They didn't tell us how much the buffet was or what was included, expecting us to know. Only filled one of the two glasses of water until we asked for it to be filled. We ordered 2 different nans and 4 other items including chicken tikka masala, basmati rice, butter chicken, vegetable curry and a spinach and potato dish. They asked us how spicy we wanted the food which was nice since 2 people in our party do cannot tolerate spicy food. Excellent food at a decent price. We have eaten here almost a dozen times in just over a year. Go to favorite is the #9 Dal Pot Soup Mulligatawny Style is a meal unto itself and soooo good! We also like the #7 Papadum Tandoor Baked Paper-Thin Lentil Crackers. Served with Tamarind and Mint Chutney. The crackers are so light and flavorful. Also the #8 Chicken Sekuwa is so good. Fillets of tandoor chicken spiced with cumin, garlic, ginger and yogurt then tossed in Somname mint & cilantro chutney. Finally #36 Prawn Masala, black tiger prawns cooked in gravy made of onions, tomatoes, mustard seed, curry leaves and a dash of red chili and coconut milk. Generous amount of shrimp about eight-ten, that I cut into three pieces each which makes for an extremely filling meal. I always take most of it home... Never had a bad meal! read more

I went to the lunch buffet at about 1230 on a Saturday and they were very few just dishes to choose from (maybe five total) The chicken tiki masala was out and not replenished during my visit. This is the best Indian I've found in Santa Rosa since moving here in December. Indian was a takeout staple for me before moving here. So it's good to find a decent place again, but it's expensive for what you get. I dropped $80 on food alone (no tip for takeout) for 2 entrees, 2 apps, and some naan. Yikes. That said, price isn't really weighing into my review. The food is solid. This place is definitely worth a try if you're in the mood for Indian... * Lamb Shank curry was very good. * Chicken Tikka was good as well. * Naan was good. Stick with the basic butter naan, although the honey-butter naan went great with yogurt the next day for lunch. * The dumpling appetizer was very flavorful * the samosas left a bit to be desired in my experience Everyone was very nice at the restaurant while I waited for my food. I read about this restaurant in North Bay Biz magazine & checked it out on a whim. What a surprise! The menu was extensive with a nice wine list. The four courses of food we ordered had great layers of flavor and servings were generous. Service was very attentive and everyone worked together seamlessly. New Friday night go-to place, for us. Got takeout tonight. We ordered chicken tikka masala, a lamb dish, samosas and two types of naan. Pretty tasty with just a few issues. I had asked for mild tikka masala and it was H-O-T!!! Like couldn't even eat it hot. Hubby's lamb was very tasty. The meat was a little tough though. The samosas did not come with the sauces it said they would and the naan was pretty dry. So our favorite Indian food closed so we decided to try Yetti.inside decorations are nice and resturant very clean. Greeted by a friendly hostess. The lunch menu has good choices I wanted garlic nan sand tiki marsala both perfect and delicious. Our only complaint was the actual waitress wow not friendly never smiled one time questioned when we asked for nan dipping sauces. We ordered pickup just after they opened at 5:00pm. We went to pickup a little early and they were very accommodating: we were quickly offered a seat at the bar, iced water and papadum with tamarind sauce (which was great). The interior was very nice (I hadn't been there for a decade and back then it was a Lyons), made me think dining in would be a better idea but we were delivering dinner to a friend and couldn't stay. The food was ready on time and the staff were very friendly. Staff get 5 stars to be sure. We were surprised by the prices a bit - I'm used to Naan and Curry or House of Curries in SF, Berkeley, Oakland, and Concord. Here the prices were quite a bit higher, though it was a nicer interior. The naan was excellent and a different shape/style than I'm used to. Just the right amount of chewy without being too thick, great. However the rest of the food was just, well, good but not great. The portions were relatively small (compared with other Indian places and considering the higher than usual price). The chicken tikka masala was good but on the bland side (that was our friend's preference but not mine - we didn't ask for mild but it was mild, maybe ask for spicy if you're used to that). The saag paneer was good, not too oily like many others. The navratan korma was good too, not quite like other kormas I've had and it was nice to try something different, but not something that will knock your socks off, again, just good. I'm not sure how it compares with Torch of India, but I want to find out. It's good to know that there's decent Indian food in Santa Rosa though. read more

Great food! I have always wanted to go to the one in Glen Ellen and haven't made it there. We were super excited to see the open near us, and it wasn't a disappointment, despite the high expectations. Amazing Naan, Awesome Kashmiri Pulao and Chicken Saag was out of this world. The tandoori was very juicy while curry flavor was subtle. The restaurant was clean and service efficient and non-intrusive. However, for $15++ I was expecting a little more "wow." We went out to lunch here during a week day with a group of 5 and had an enjoyable experience. I ordered the veggie lunch platter special and liked sampling a couple different dishes that came on the platter. The food came out pretty quickly so coming here on a work day lunch wasn't an issue. In general the food is not on the really spicy side (so if you want spice--you might need to ask), was tasty but was a bit on the expensive side for lunch. FYI the naan is absolutely huge. Went here with a group of friends and order wayyyy too much food. The staff here are super friendly and patient. We used five different credit cards when paying but they processed all of it without batting an eye. The food here was pretty good and the onion bajji that we got or checking in on Yelp was deliciously fried goodness.
