The food is so delicious. Sometimes Tikka masala sauce can be a hit or miss and this place is definitely a hit. The sauce is creamy and slightly sweet and the chicken taste like it's a kebab or tandori style. The chickpea masala I don't know the name sorry but it's perfect. Authentic Flavors, Friendly Service, and a Cozy Spot Worth Visiting! I had a lovely experience at Everest in Santa Rosa. The food was warm, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The momo (dumplings) were a standout--perfectly spiced and tender. The chicken tikka masala was rich and comforting, and the naan was fresh, fluffy, and just the right amount of charred on the edges. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and the staff was kind and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell they care about their guests having a good experience. I especially appreciated how they were happy to explain items on the menu when we asked. Why not five stars? While the food and service were great, the wait time for our main dishes was a bit longer than expected, and the music inside could've been a little softer for conversation. Still, nothing major enough to keep me from coming back--and recommending it to others. First time at this Indian restaurant. Had the lunch special and chose the chicken tikka masala. The lunch came with basmati rice.naan and a lentil soup and a salad. The soup was very good with the tasty lentils, salad was with specialty lettuce, also very good and I chose the medium spicy for the masala. It was very good. The restaurant has a check in special that gives 10% off the meal, but our server had no idea what that was, and that he needed to talk with the owner. Ambiance for the place that is in a strip mall was a typical Indian restaurant, very few patrons during our visit. I would return, maybe next time will get that 10% discount. read more

Full disclosure - I am not by any means an Indian food expert. However that being said, everything we ordered tasted delicious! Was it authentic? Dunno. But it was darn good! We ordered samosas, chicken madrasi, shrimp biryani, lamb tikka masala, and aloo naan. It was a generous amount of food; fed 4 servings. Everything was delicious! We are close by so everything was hot and texturally what you expect which is always a bonus in take out. The samosas were huge! Giant pockets of potatoey goodness. 2 per order. My only recommendation would be call the restaurant directly, don't use a food service. We called to verify pick up time and they were cooking it to be ready almost 40 minutes before the order service told us to expect it. That would have made for a very sad food experience, but we called and they told us it would be ready in 5 minutes. So glad we called!! The lamb was tender, not gamey, fork tender, and simply yummy. It's not a meat many cuisines use so it was nice to have something a little different for a change. I cook lamb chops but I have a hard time enjoying it from restaurants more often than not so I am super glad it was a successful choice. Lovely neighborhood restaurant in the St Francis Center near the Safeway Friendly greeting as I entered for lunch. Very tranquil inside with attractive decor. My piping hot lunch included yellow pea soup, salad with a tasty dressing , chickpea and spinach dish, a curried vegetable dish, bread, mango chutney and cucumber/ yogurt taita. Always on a search to find authentic Indian food, and I felt so lucky to stumble upon this place after stopping by Safeway! S E R V I C E: I came here around lunch, so it was pretty empty besides two couples that were eating inside. Nonetheless, I was greeted by the front and I ordered Saag Paneer, and the server told me all I could get when ordering through the lunch menu. I ordered to-go, and it took them about 15-20 min to cook my food. Everything was packaged nicely, and on their receipt it even said "You are amazing and beautiful just the way you are" which I thought was a sweet touch! F O O D: While living in India, Saag Paneer became my favorite dish. The lunch portion sizes were perfect! The paneer tasted as good as it was when I was in India, and I loved how it came with garlic naan, Dahl (lentil soup), a bunch of basmati rice, and Chana masala (I think that's what it's called!). They give you options on how spicy you want it - I asked for medium, but I'll probably ask for more spiciness when I come back. We had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner here! The service was terrific; we asked for recommendations and our lovely server suggested some delicious things that we might not have noticed on our own, including an egg pancake appetizer (pictured; I'm forgetting the name, but it was brand new to the menu and we all thought it was great, as was the sauce that came with it). We were all glad we asked for recs! We also had the artichoke pakoras, pumpkin curry, chana masala, aloo gobi, garlic naan, rice, and papadum (we were all obsessed with the avocado salsa it was served with), a bottle of Pinot Gris we all liked, and a mango lassi for me. Everything was so tasty, with delicious sauces, textures, and flavors. We have some food sensitivities in our group and their extensive menu was perfect, with tons of vegetarian, dairy-free, and gluten-free options. They were also really accommodating, making the pumpkin curry with coconut milk instead of dairy. I'm looking forward to going back and trying the paneer and chicken dishes as well. I have eaten here for lunch & dinner. The food is heavenly and reasonably priced. I especially enjoyed the lunch special. It was great because it had so many different items to try. It was served on a tray with spaces for each item, a salad, your entree, your choice of rice, soup, and a dish made with garbanzo beans & of course the delicious naan. I finally made it in to this lovely little gem hidden in St. Francis Center right next to the mermaid fountain. I was warmly greeted by the host/ server as I sat down in the comfy booth surrounded by cheery decor for my post yoga lunch. I started out with a warming cup of chai tea. There were lunch specials that I was informed about but I went for the veggie pakoras & vegetable korma. The pakoras were crunchy & light served with a duo of tangy tamarind chutney & vibrant mint sauce. The fresh vegetables in the korma were all cooked perfectly and the sauce was fragrant and spicy then finished with a touch of cream. I tried the freshly baked onion kulcha to sop up the delicious curry. I finished off my meal with the warm dumpling soaked in aromatic syrup. I had enough food left over to eat the rest for dinner! The next time I ordered lamb tikka & saag paneer to-go. The lamb was tender , expertly braised in a rich fenugreek sauce & the saag was loaded with freshly sautéed spinach. The paneer cheese cubes were not one bit tough. Again the service by the same gentleman as last time was top notch & genuine. I called to order the vegetable curry, chicken tikka masala, chicken tandoori, two orders of rice and garlic nann. I ordered mild but I think could've done medium. Spices were on point and everything made you want to eat more!! The flavors were excellent. I also like the fact that the chicken tandoori was a whole half a chicken. Most places are only 6-7 pieces of chicken breast. This place doesn't skimp on food and prices are fair for the portions. The garlic nann however was very plain. No garlic flavor. I took my father here a while back and didn't get around to writing my review. I still remember the kind service, delicious entrees, and generous portions. My father is from India and is a good cook, so most Indian restaurants fall short of his expectations, but he liked the Tandoori Mixed Grill and I loved the Lamb Saag. He wanted to come back for lunch. Fast forward to today. There has been a pandemic and yet another difficult fire season with fires very close by. I think this restaurant is doing the best they can with takeout and curbside service and I am looking forward to my next visit. The lone waiter acts as though customers are an inconvenience, even if you're the only one there. On my last visit, they made me wait a full 10 minutes for a cup of chai because the waitress couldn't be bothered to stop talking with her friends. (I canceled my order.)
