Something about this place changed because the portions and taste of the chicken have changed. It used to be that the amount of chicken was like stuffed in the box and you could barely close the container but now there's empty space when you open the box! Also, the chicken is so dry. I am really saddened because the chicken used to be very juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Now the chicken is all dried up and the last time we ordered, we couldn't even finish them (which never happens)... quite upsetting. read more

Decided to stop by here after reading good reviews and I certainly don't regret it! I have tried all the popular KFC spots (Mad for chicken, pelicana, bonchon, etc), and this place is by far the best I have tried. Their chicken, especially the sweet and spicy chicken, is heavenly! It is bursting with garlicky flavor, and the spice level is mild but has a subtle kick. The chicken lasted the long 30 minute car ride back to LI and it was still so fresh! I believe we must have been the last order of the night as I called in at 12:30AM which was right about the time the kitchen closes. Lady on the phone was pleasant. I ordered the half and half with soy garlic and honey BBQ for 25.04 which beat Pelicana's pricing for 2 orders of their 8 piece wings. The chicken was definitely crispy. There were no wings like I thought it'd be but other parts of the chicken, some boneless some not. The sauces were alright. The meal was reminiscent of General Tso chicken...but with a different breading. The chicken pieces themselves were also kind of dried. The side of radish itself seemed homemade which was also ok. It was enough to feed us two but not usually overstuffed like I would be sharing 16 wings. This may have been a bust due to ordering near closing so I'll have to try at an earlier time. Favorite place so far, so affordable half and half chicken is like $22. They do sweet and spicy, honey Chicken and soy garlic. Had everything except honey chicken.they give you 20 pieces so definitely go with a friend and you are going to be so full. I been with my 3 other friends and it's just enough for all of us. We come out really full. I think the owners have changed because last time they chased after us claiming we didn't pay tip when we did. We frequent this place so I was so annoyed. Yay for traditional Korean fried chicken! Their old style chicken is perfectly fried with a spicy kick. I would've given it 5 stars but it seems they make all the chickens a little spicy no option for someone who can't handle it. Even their soy garlic chicken we ordered for the kiddies had the underlying spice, it was delicious but the kids couldn't eat too much of it. I believe this place opened a couple of month ago. Finally got to try this place and I was pleasantly surprised with how well they did the chicken. It really reminded me of the tong dak which means whole chicken of old before the korean bar restaurants made the tong dak into fried chicken. The meat was juicy and not dry at all and the outside was crispy just the way I like it. We actually took it to go but if I ate it there I'm sure if would have been even better. I actually only tried the original chicken so can't wait to try other items on the menu. The only down side of this place that I see so far is that it's kinda like a little joint so not a lot of space inside and probably you'll smell like fried food once you come out but definitely a place to try. read more

Giving a poor rating when it comes to ordering on a busy holiday like thanksgiving. I called a day in advance and made a reservation to pickup the next day. The following day I went to pick up the food except I still had to wait over an hour!!! Crazy thing was there were a lot of other people waiting from their reservation too. I mean I understand it's peak chicken time and a small store but don't accept orders and reservations for certain times if you know you can't physically and logistically do it. This Korean chicken opened recently so I came here to check it out. There are 5 tables which could be broken down to 7 tables and their chicken price is decent. They ran out of draft beer so I ordered bottled beer and the original fried chicken I ordered came out pretty quickly. The only reason I gave 3 star is because of the food and the bathroom sanitation. The salad and radish side dishes were too sweet and the spicy sauce I paid $2 extra was also sweet. The bathroom toilet had puke stain which was disgusting. It was really loud in the restaurant with many drinkers. Not sure if I will return to this place or not... read more

My criteria for takeout would normally be 3 stars reserved for food quality/amount and 2 stars for service/price. I would give 5 stars but they overcharged me 5 dollars. My father went in last night and picked up an order of the fried chicken. He said he paid $27/28 and gave $30 for the food+tip. I had thought they had maybe upped their prices so I called today to ask about it and they said it would normally be around $22/23 with tax included. They said they would change it if we had the receipt and I don't anymore. Now, I understand that's a fair policy and it's unfortunate that I threw the receipt out just because I didn't think about it too much yesterday but it was negligent work by them. Driving home through Flushing I heard Korean Fried Chicken was something very different than than what you get at regular chicken places. In fact realized that Tong Dak means fried chicken (I'm obviously not Korean). Saw this was top of the pack in Korean rich Flushing.
