I have practiced yoga for 13 years now and have taught yoga for 5- as a seasoned practitioner I can say that Zuda has some of the best hot yoga I have found in Sacramento. I tried the introductory month for $30 and took 14 classes during that time and every single class I left feeling energized, inspired, and renewed. I took class with Jodi, Stephanie, and Becca and they all have their own unique style of teaching. I do wish the teachers would have offered more hands on assists however, with covid-19 it is understandable why they do not anymore. I will definitely be back to Zuda soon. read more

I recently signed up for the '30 for 30' deal that Zuda offers and I'm. Freaking. Loving. It! This is the coolest studio I've ever experienced because it doesn't matter if there are 20 yogis or 2 yogis in class, everyone is so friendly and makes the studio feel comfortable and like a genuine community. I've tried a lot of yoga studios and this location is the one I see myself committing to for a long time. On Dec 7, 2020, I entered Zuda Yoga around 9AM to ask about taking classes as I was having some back pain and I heard that yoga could be helpful. I entered the business through the front door which was unlocked. I looked around and did not see anyone in the front area so I looked through a window in the door to the back room. A few seconds later a woman came out and rudely said I shouldn't be here and told me I had to leave. I made an attempt to explain I was interested in taking a class but she wasn't listening and practically pushed me out the door and locked it behind me. I was embarrassed that she was so rude to me. If I was interrupting I am sorry but she could have handled this with more respect. read more

I started practicing at Zuda since 2009 at the downtown Sacramento location. When my husband and I purchased our first home in Folsom earlier this year, I was worried about what I would do to cure my zuda addiction. Luckily, Zuda had a location in Folsom as well! Lucky me! This location is located in a small and quiet little shopping plaza! This little studio is a gem and I love going here. Staff are really nice and the studio is very well maintained and clean. They even offer beautiful Lululemon items in their boutique and if it's your birthday week, you get 25% off! They offer a ton of classes at various times throughout the day. The power vinyasa classes (all levels) are my favorite and I like taking classed offered by Natalie and Katie. Cool vibe, great music, powerful yoga. Can't complain and can't wait to come back again and again. read more

It saddens me to write this, as I used to be a regular at Zuda in Sacramento when Annmarie was the owner and also a regular instructor. Over a decade later and now living in Southern California, I wanted to get back into yoga so I checked out their virtual offerings. They didn't offer a lot of time slots that worked for my schedule, but the website states that if you sign up for a virtual class and can't attend they will email you a replay link that you can watch for up to 1 week. I purchased a 30-day unlimited pass and was planning to be fully virtual and primarily do the replays, but I did try to attend the first class live. When I connected via zoom, I could barely hear the instructor despite having the zoom and laptop volume at max. It was not loud enough for me to understand what she was saying, so I ended up being totally disappointed and leaving. I never had this happen with zoom before. I never received the replay link for this class or any of the other ones I signed up for so I wasn't able to do a single class. I reached out to zuda via email and the contact form on the website to try to get this resolved because I really wanted to make this work by receiving the replay links. When I got no response to these messages, I sent a follow up (via both email and contact form again) explaining the situation again and requesting a refund. It's been at least 2 weeks since the follow up and again no reply. I tried to call once and no one answered. I'm not so upset that I lost the time and money investment, I'm more disappointed that this studio cares so little about people that simply want them to deliver on what they are advertising, and I want to warn anyone in my shoes not to make the same mistake. read more

Awesome yoga studio! ZUDA helped me get back into my practice after a long break. All the teachers are amazing, I have never taken a class that I didn't like and the front staff is friendly as well! The studio is clean, has showers, and sweet gesture/small amenities like tea, q tips, and towels that add to the experience of your practice. What a fantastic studio! The instructor was a delight, the pace was wonderful and the alternating heat blasts and periods of letting ourselves heat the place up was so much more tolerable and enjoyable than other warm studios I've been to. My one concern was that there wasn't a ton of correction for folks who are new. A woman next to me was fairly new, and not getting a lot of feedback although she was clearly struggling. I think it's great that they're all about letting people process yoga, and go at their own pace. My concern was just for injuries - mamacita was old and doing it wrong and it was a bit troubling that she wasn't provided some personal attention. Really, it could be a simple as inviting beginners to the front to see the moves, then try them, then have an aide offer corrections. So Zuda, that's my one suggestion - offer more feedback when you see someone doing the moves totally wrong. Otherwise, It's a great place to practice! read more

Pros: +Very good yoga classes, with a nice blend of the physical and the meditative experiences. +Friendly, inviting, non-judgmental environment +No mirrors (yes, that's actually a plus once you experience focusing on your own practice without judging yourself, trying to be perfect, or comparing yourself to others) +Great beginners' series +Wonderful teachers +Hot yoga is challenging, revitalizing and cleansing. +Clean, welcoming studio. +I haven't used it, but they have a shower. Cons: -Classes are over-crowded. -This is expensive yoga! There are famous yoga studios in San Francisco that charge $10-12 per class. Zuda charges $16 per class, unless you sign up for one of their plans, which are still pretty expensive. -Their unlimited yoga plans are only for the studio you purchased it at, so if you buy it at Folsom, you cannot use it at their Sacramento studio. -There is only one style of class offered. It would be nice if they had something more chill and relaxing for the end of the day. -I yearn for a half hour mini-class after work for those difficult days when I am just not up to an entire class. Zuda doesn't have such options. All classes are over an hour and are intense. All said and done, if the price wasn't an issue, I might buy their monthly plan. Since there are so many other classes I like to take at other places, I just can't justify paying about $120 a month for yoga. I'm glad we have Zuda here in town, and I appreciate both the classes and the sense of community they are trying to cultivate. read more

I've been going to Zuda weekly for a few months now and I LOVE it. I pay the student charge of $12-which is well worth it when you factor in the heat, music, and vibe. OH! Not to mention the random assistant massages! Soooo nice! There is nothing like taking a sweaty break in child's pose and having someone sit on you and rub your back-REALLY. As mentioned before, I am very surprised with how Zuda Yoga is ran. After doing the 10 day for $10 deal, I started developing weird tension headaches that I was unsure what was causing the issue. I remember coming here almost every day with my one of my friends, who had told me that she started getting headaches from this place. For me, my body works a tad differently, where I won't receive any results until after a while, therefore I tend to push myself 110%. At Zuda, one thing that caught my eye was how they have "certified" teachers. This meant that anyone, even myself, could be a yoga trainer. I had thought to myself whether this was a good, valid, and legit place to go to, since anyone and their mom could be an instructor, if they had the money to invest in it. As a yoga trainee, in the past, I have experienced Yoga at Hot Yoga on Sunrise, and was noticed the many differences Zuda had, in comparison to H.Y.O.S. This was completely different from H.Y.O.S, considering the fact that their yoga teachers were not only certified, but graduated from universities with B.S. in kinesiology, Health Sciences, PT, etc. Any ways, at Zuda, they have teachers who walk around to try to help you....by touching you/positioning you in the correct form. At first, I was confused by why they were touching me. In fact...I had asked several Yoga places, and was told that trainers aren't supposed to touch you. They are supposed to guide you with their words. I felt a weird snap on my neck when this had occurred, and thought nothing of it. I was wrong. Months later, I started developing really bad tension headaches. This continued on for a while, and I have been to a chiropractor and physical therapist who both said that I had a pinched nerve. We started putting pieces together, and realized that it was from performing Yoga. Perhaps it was my fault, for pushing myself so hard, or maybe it was the high intensity of the yoga practice Zuda had. Nonetheless, I won't be back. read more

There are plenty of classes throughout the day to fit almost anyones schedule, and the staff/instructors are super friendly and knowledgeable. If you're new you can get 10 consecutive days of unlimited power yoga at Zuda Folsom for only $10. If you like the studio and the practice, you can purchase 10 classes for $99 if you purchase them within your 10 for $10 period. You can also do unlimited yoga for $119/month, which you're obligated to for just 3 months. If you need to cancel, you just give them 30 days notice in writing at the studio. read more

Amazing studio and likely the best one I have been to in the Folsom area. I recently moved up from Southern California and was looking into different studios before committing to the one I felt like worked best for me. I am incredibly happy that I found Zuda! All the instructors have been amazing and incredibly helpful. I feel that they are constantly challenging you to push yourself even when you feel like giving up. I have been here many many times over the years. Zuda delivers great yoga. All of the the Zudas do. I am totally satisfied practicing with Zuda and the excellent instructors. there is a really good feel and vibe here. This studio has 2 separate rooms for practicing . They have a cool selection of yoga clothes and mats too. I like the assistant program they incorporate into the classes. they help you hold a pose, get into a pose and give you some help when you need it. It can get HOT so be prepared to sweat. This is the best yoga studio to go to!!! My favorite Yogi(or instructor) would probably be Sarah Cayer! She is very helpful and encouraging. I love all of the other instructors as well! You come in and don't feel weird like some places I've been working out before. It's a safe and welcoming atmosphere if your new to working out at all. And I've lost 10 pounds already since starting! You shed weight off quickly and you feel great doing it! Zuda Yoga has 100% converted me to not trying any other work out again. It helps me mentally, physically, and emotionally. I love this place! From the high tech check-in system (MINDBODY app and I-Pad touch screen) to the plethora of classes and workshops, this place is awesome. I'm new to yoga and Zuda has been very welcoming so far. I have liked all my teachers so far and everyone has been very nice and encouraging. The $30 for 30 days special is worth it as well and I'll definitely join full time once it's up! Every first Monday they have a free class for people interested in joining. They also offer a free 30-day challenge with additional workshops and discounts for those participating. I took a yin class at this location and I'm so disappointed. The actual class itself was nice but the hospitality aspect was HORRIBLE. The kid at the front desk barely even looked at me when I got there and just barely acknowledged I was there by saying "check in." I told him I was new and asked where the room was and he just said "small door that way." Really? It wasn't even busy. Nobody offered to give me a tour or introduce themselves or anything. I'm so bummed bc I'm looking for a new studio and I work very close by. Oh well, glad I didn't get a package. read more

Zuda Folsom is like a second home to me. I feel welcome the moment I step inside. I appreciate the kindness of the staff as well as the power and grace of the teachers. I love to attend all the different classes as each teacher has such a different style and intensity that creates a wonderful range of diversity. I feel that I can always have my own practice, meaning that while I feel guided, I never feel pushed, always able to express myself and my current state. This is my first time at Zuda and it just so happened that one of their Karma classes fit into my schedule. Karma classes are their donation based classes where all the proceeds go to a local charity. I went in and told them I was new to the studio so they gave me the run down. The facility seemed fairly new and nice. They do keep the yoga studio warm I noticed it was around 95 degrees when I left. I also liked how in corpse pose the instructor help readjust me so I was very comfortable. Overall, I am a fan of this place and will definitely incorporate it into my normal yoga regime. read more

I love Zuda's Dark Red Curtains and Dark Wood Floor - and the heat for when I'm in the mood. I love how their is a smell of Eucalyptus in the air which opens my lungs. I also like the great assortment of clothes from Be Present and LuLuLemon. My favorite instructors used to be Kate Saal and Diana V. They've now opened a new studio. But it is clear that Ann Marie pays great attention to detail and trains a very high-energy, quality staff. I come here to "get lost" on my mat. I think it feels a bit "ego" oriented, but in general it has good vibes. read more

This place is truly as good as it gets. My first day was today and I got to try it out for free because it was their re-opeing (I guess they closed for 3 weeks due to a flood). Anyway, the experience was nothing short of amazing. What impressed me the most was how friendly all the instructors were. I've been to many other studios in the Sac and Bay area and I've never seen a happier bunch. My boyfriend who would normally never come with me to a yoga class decided he'd try it since it was free and even he really liked it. I love going to the karma class on Wednesdays at 1:15! The instructors are phenomenal and they challenge us with new poses all the time.
