This place is seriously so special. Beyond their state of the art equipment and great location, they have the Best teachers in Long Beach and probably in all of SoCal. I've never been to a class I didn't like. The community they have built is really astounding in such a short period of time. Madhuri is by far my favorite yoga teacher! Authentic, authentic, authentic was each of the 3 teachers and classes that I attended while in Long Beach. The studio was an amazing space to practice in each tiime as well, with an old brick wall and open ceiling with natural light coming in through a skylight. Clean and modern bathrooms (and shower too). The 1st class was with Jacob, who started off the class with an amazing Mantra singing (and music from that little organ piano thing). I don't know the name of it but he played it well! Then I went to one of the owners classes, Theresa, for a strength flow which I was impressed that you can have weights and yoga combined. My final class was with Allie G which was a level 2/3 flow. She was so authentic and passionate while teachIng that we all gained wisdom, knowledge, techniques, and a new level of yoga that I personally have never experienced! I did the two week new student pass. In looking at the price of the studio without the deal, it's not worth it in my opinion. The 2/3 class was not difficult enough for the highest level class they offer. The space smelled a bit, there was no free towel service, one only co-ed shower, no water bottle water filter, they do not validate for the nearest garage (all of the restaurants around DO validate for a 2 hour space in the garage). All in all, the experience is not comparable to other hot yoga studios, and thus not worth the money in my opinion. read more

First off, Yoga 108 is an absolutely incredible venue that truly seeks to cater to every individual that comes in the door. They are friendly, kind, and excellent at their trade. They also approach Yoga from a spiritual standpoint, which is outstanding. * I have attended their Monday Meditation nights and I have found that their teacher is truly interested in critical thinking, as well as truly getting everyone to see every teaching and lesson from a different perspective. I very much appreciate this and I am happy that they have such an outstanding individual during those nights. He will seek your point of view and challenge it and you, to get more thoughts in the lesson at large. He is not combative at all, rather just persistent in challenging every point of view in order to filter out every thought, and arrive at a strong conclusion at the end. Not your typical yoga studio...in all the best ways! From the beautiful brick wall backdrop to the infrared heat panels, every teacher I've had here has challenged me on a deeper level, while still benefiting from a hard physical practice. Been coming here since they opened their doors, seeing this burgeoning promenade blossom, this studio has been an absolute staple in downtown. I ran into Molly who is an instructor at this studio and she was stand offish and not friendly. I was interested in taking one of the yoga classes but she was not approachable. I couldn't even ask a question about yoga. I don't know her but it doesn't seem like she is not a people's person and only cares about herself read more

I like it and I have a suggestion for the owner. It would be nice to remind students to keep their voices low in the hallway. Before and after class low voices or silence could be encouraged to retain the pre and post relaxing going. read more

This is my favorite yoga studio in the South Bay / Long Beach area. I loved it so much I chose this studio for my 200 hour teacher training certification program. The studio itself is beautiful and offers a regular room as well as a hot room. The owners are wonderful, together they make an amazing duo, offering a great mix of teaching energies and styles. This is the best flow yoga I have ever done (I've been practicing for about 15 years). I also really love and admire the friendly vibe and welcoming atmosphere. And the higher level classes are the most challenging I've taken with the greatest varieties of advanced poses. Highly recommend! read more

I have been coming to this beautiful studio for over a year and I am just in love with this sanctuary. It's been a lifesaver for me and I was so happy that the reopening happened recently. Since this is an independent yoga studio, the quality and return you get is worth your time and money. My favorite instructors are Reika and Amrita who are both super friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about their practice. The schedule and variety of classes are very well put and I highly recommend the heated classes even though it may seem intimidating, but will make your yoga experience far better. Due to the COVID restrictions, class sizes are small and intimate (which I've always wanted) as you can do a much better practice without having to invade your neighbor's space which was an issue with overcrowded classes pre COVID. You can park for free for two hours in the parking structure across the street which was a concern before I started to come to this studio. You can definitely feel the owners' and instructors' passion for their classes. Rather than it just being a "workout", you get spiritually and mantras that will be mind opening and take home with you after your practice. I am definitely proud to be a member of yoga108. If you are looking to start your yoga practice whether or not you have no experience, just try it out and you won't regret it. read more

I went in because a friend has recommended this place to me. I was able to get a two week unlimited pass for $20. The class i took with my friend was a heated yoga class for all levels. I must say, in all the places where I have done yoga, none were as spiritually based as this one, which i LOVED! the classes are much smaller compared to where I have gone (the YMCA and CorePower) which is nice. I do wish though, since the class is smaller, that the instructor would come around and let people know if they are holding the poses correctly. Not to say that anyone was, but there were some poses I wish I knew of an alternative because I kept almost falling over. They do have mats available to borrow, but i highly recommend bringing your own, and a towel (especially if youre doing heated yoga- I slipped on my mat a few times) and definitely bring water. I cannot wait to try out more classes there! read more

What can I say I have fallen in love with yoga again! It has always been hard for me to stick with yoga because it's hard for me to be patient and mindful. I am a gym kind of girl I love weights and love the workouts. However, I really decided to give this place a try again as I really want to practice yoga because of my work I need to be centered and I need to practice mindfulness. So I had decided to practice what I preach ! I loved the hot class it was just so fluid and just really kept me engaged I really feel like I have found my studio! A studio where I can fulfill my meditational needs as well as my strength and body needs the class kicked my butt! I loved it from beginning to end. Usually I'm thinking OMG when will this class end! But I didn't feel like that at all the length of the class felt perfect! I loved it from the chant to the energy in the room. I also loved that they let you know about workshops I definitely am excited to finally commit to my practice! read more

I took the Saturday community class for $5 and it was amazing! Judy was our teacher and she has the most amazing energy, I wasn't even embarrassed when I took some flops. She incorporates inversions in the practice in a way that isn't intimidating and the whole flow was just fun. Definitely recommend this cute little studio to anyone interested :) read more

This studio is my second home! There is not one thing I do not like about it. Every single teacher there is amazing. Everyone is so knowledgeable and each have their own different style. They have truly built a special community, it feels welcoming as soon as you walk in. They have classes for each level whether your practice is beginner or advanced, there are also heated and non heated classes. They also offer different workshops, trips to India, and teacher training. The studio is cozy and always clean. Pricing is great, I have a monthly unlimited membership but they also offer different class packs. Parking is easy, there is a garage across the street that is free for two hours. If you are wanting to go deeper into your yoga or spiritual practice, this is the place for you. I can't put into words how thankful I am that I have found this studio in Downtown Long Beach. I am very new to yoga and I'm very happy that my search for my first yoga experience brought me to this studio. I was looking to mix up my weekly workout routine that consisted of purely strength training and cardio and after one class here with Kirsten I was hooked! I thought yoga was going to be this soft and fluffy experience, but when I left my first class with a sweat and feeling like my core was worked out in a way that it hasn't been before, I couldn't wait to come back! I am so very grateful to have taken my first class (and now every class I sign up for) with Kirsten. She is such a great instructor offering a decent challenge even though the class I take of hers is a beginner class. I have taken beginner classes with a different instructor at this studio but didn't find them challenging enough for me personally. Kirsten definitely is the instructor for me! My experience with this studio has been so awesome that I now have a membership here and it's definitely the highlight of my workout schedule for the week. The front desk staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and the free 2 hour parking across the street is great and you don't even need to validate! The hallway does get a little tight but everyone is pretty polite so it's not an issue. If you can't tell by now, I highly recommend this studio for beginners! read more
