Yet I always had confidence in my nail guy Duy (Zee) to get the presentation of my nails very neat. And Duy accomplished that goal effortlessly & beautifully. One of My favorite things about Duy is his timing. I absolutely love that about this nail salon. My appointment was at 2pm and I got tips and toes done within 60 minutes. My nails were clean and bare and my toes were 95% clear. Coming from Gel polish. Which is perfect to me. I left at 3:12pm. Theirs never a wait at Hollywood nails. Appointments are well appreciated and RESPECTED HERE. Nothing like other nail salons. Hollywood is a family, and you'll feel it. They know all their customers by name. I've never started a review like this before, so bear with me while I really express myself…read more.. So boom. I decided to bring my husband to this nail shop because I had been here before for a pedicure and had a good experience. I thought it would be the perfect place for him to feel comfortable getting his pedicure while also receiving great service. When we walked in, we were greeted by a woman with the biggest smile. She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant. I honestly thought she was going to be my nail technician, but she ended up taking care of my husband which actually worked out because I wanted him to have the best experience possible. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. From the moment my technician started working on me, she was rough. Every movement felt harsh pulling, tugging, and handling my feet with absolutely no gentleness. It wasn't just her technique; her attitude was just as cold. I believe everyone has bad days, but customers shouldn't have to be on the receiving end of them. Then came the polish. She asked me what color I wanted, and I gave her the exact number because I had already picked it out. She couldn't find it, and that's when her frustration became obvious. She started speaking in another language, tossing bottles around on the table, and visibly showing how irritated she was. I looked over at my husband and quietly said, "I don't think she's having a good day because she's been rough with me ever since she started." He began paying closer attention and noticed it too. When she came back, I even asked her, "Are you okay?" She quickly replied, "Yeah, yeah, I'm okay." She applied the first coat, then came back with a completely different polish than the one I requested. I stopped her and politely said, "Excuse me, that's not the color I asked for. Can you please get the one I requested?" Instead of simply correcting the mistake, she stormed off visibly upset. At that point, I had enough. I refused to let someone with that kind of attitude finish my service. I told them I would pay for what had already been done, but I would not be returning. I came in respectful, spent my hard-earned money, and did absolutely nothing to deserve being treated that way. Thankfully, my husband had already finished his pedicure and had a much better experience than I did. Somewhere in the middle of all this, we even had margaritas (ha!) which honestly may have given me the courage to stand up for myself because, if you know me, I'm usually the person who stays quiet just to avoid conflict. Not this time. I'm about to be 45, and I've reached a place in life where I refuse to pay people to mistreat me. If you're having a bad day, I truly hope it gets better--but don't (ever) take it out on your customers. Customer service matters just as much as the service you're providing. Sadly, because of this experience, I won't be returning. Respect goes both ways, and my money will be spent where kindness and professionalism are just as important as a good pedicure. I'm out.

The tables and floors are basically cleaned after every service. I am impressed! Service: The salon offers multiple services to fit your needs and budget. They have ladies who been in the nail industry for years! I asked a billion questions about my thin/fragile nails, and they were happy to answer it all. I have been working with Michelle to repair my natural nails (I had acrylic nails all last year with no breaks). My nails are getting stronger and longer with every appointment! Most places use a file machine to remove gel polish, but they use a hand file - the proper way to remove it!

I did a chrome color - pricing was not disclosed prior to me choosing the Chrome either (Beware any add-on is charged. You are basically nickel and dimmed for every choice. My pedicure became an easy $100. Onto the quality of my nails. The quality was horrendous. The tech did not go all the way down to the cuticles so my fresh nails with a brand "new set" (I don't use tips and still got charged for a full set ) it looked like they were already a week old. After having the tech redo them to fix her mistake, they still look like shit. The tips of my nails are missing chunks of chrome. I'm not willing to walk back in there because this manicure and pedicure became an easy $215. I have never in my life paid that much for a simple pedicure and nail set. We came to Houston to try something new and expected it to be a little pricier, but I did not expect to give away my first born child. Nor did I expect to leave completely unsatisfied.

However, as I was leaving today, I noticed I hadn't received a receipt so I asked for one. When I got to my car and reviewed it, I saw I had been charged an extra $10 for a "nail fix." That was confusing to me because I came in for a builder gel set on my real nails and they had done my previous set as well. I went back inside to ask about it and was told by the manager that the charge was because I had partially removed the gel from two of my nails. I explained that the gel had started peeling after two weeks, so I removed part of it myself this morning knowing I was going to come get them fixed after work today. My main concern is not necessarily the $10 itself, but the lack of transparency. Three different employees assisted me today between my pedicure and gel set and at no point was I informed there would be an additional charge. When I asked why no one thought to alert me, I was told they "thought I knew." Very odd response for it only being my 3rd time. I was initially excited to find a new nail salon that provided good service and transparent pricing, but adding charges without communicating them beforehand (and then making excuses for the lack of communication) makes me reconsider returning
