My nails are great, had to do a lot of communicating about what I wanted even after showing pictures Chris put chrome without using black polish and I had to educate him and he had to redo them over because the color was not a true chrome. Afterwards he did get them right. Price quotes changed a bit although I didn't change anything to my nails after showing the pictures. I don't think they have a price list they just go off a price in their head. It was only three people working which caused the service to take quite a bit. Kevin did an awesome job on my fullset, I didnt get the name of the guy that did my pedicure but he did good as well! Both were super nice & attentive & did exactly what I wanted!! I've been to this salon maybe 2-3 years ago & I remember Kevin being there & even when I got my nails done then he did great! I moved to a different side of town so I stopped going. Back in the day, when nail salons were just popping up everywhere and had to go the extra mile and work hard and actually cared about the customers that walked through the door for the sake of keeping their business alive, I was probably too young to be getting my nails done....but I feel like many nail salons these days, including this one, just lack the authenticity of genuinely caring about what the/their customers want when they choose to walk into their nail salons. At the end of the day, no matter what ethnicity you are, or what your status is, every customer should be treated equally and with care and attention. I am a stickler on customer service...which leads me to why I left this place 2 stars. I've been to this nail salon several times, and I've also brought several friends and family members here as well. Now, I am by no means a regular, but you don't have to be a regular to know when you are being treated differently from other customers. My very first experience was great, but it only lasted 1 visit. All my visits after that, I felt that they were either rushing me, or gave me a technician that did not a good job, and my most recent visit was my last straw. I will not be returning to this place again. I came in with my friend and my sister. I was the first to go, and ironically, out of all the technicians, I ended up getting the same technician from my previous visit. She didn't understand much English, which made me requesting what I wanted a challenge, and I didn't want to sound like I was complaining, however, I wasn't pleased with the way she did my shellac because I could see red streaks on the sides of my nails in between my skin and the nail. I proceeded to say something about it, and the owner's wife began to speak in Vietnamese with one of her nail technicians, not knowing that my friend that came along could understand Vietnamese. Well, sure enough, after we left the salon, my friend was telling me that they were talking to each other and saying how I had been complaining the whole time I was there and how difficult I was being. Honestly, it just doesn't feel good when you hear that, and it definitely doesn't want to make me return to their salon. There's good reason why Anjelah Johnson's stand up about nail salons went viral. There is truth to what she says and it is unacceptable. I may only be 1 person and most likely won't affect their business, but just thought I'd share my experiences about nail salons. I'm new to Houston and needed a new nail spot. After my vigorous yelp search I came across Sunshine nails. I went yesterday for the first time and I AM IMPRESSED! I got a fill and pedicure. I love the shape of my nails and the selection of gel colors. The salon was very nice, super clean/organized and offered free wine! The massage chair was great and the pedicure was awesome. For callus removal they placed my calf on a foam thing to lift my foot (not all places do that) and they used a metal (sort of like a cheese grater) scraper to really get the callus off, which I love! And I was just falling asleep during the leg massage. To top all of that the service was great and I could tell they had a lot of happy loyal customers. read more

Very unfortunately the place I normally go was closed, inexplicably, but potentially due to a COVID outbreak. I went here knowing the prices would be a little more than where I normally go because of other reviews, but it turns out, the prices aren't different, just the actual service you get. My Spa Pedi did not get a massage, hot stone massage nor hot towel wrap as depicted in the menu - and which is basically everything that differentiates it from the regular. My shillac mani was ok but felt rushed and it did not come with any kind of hand massage. Never had a mani before without some sort of at least lotion application. All in all, desperate times call for desperate measures, and my nails are done, and not by me. BUT, with nail salons on every corner, I will continue to search for other options in the event my regular place doesn't reopen. read more
