I had the worst pedicure of my life a few weeks ago. The technician was extremely rough and seemed to be very annoyed after I asked if we could make the water warmer. She literally told me she wouldn't warm it further because I'd burn (?). I think I'd know if the water was at an unsafe temperature. My water was barely warm. After that, she started using a really sharp tool to free up the edge of my big toe nails. I do have curved nail beds which puts me more at risk for ingrown nails, so I understand what she was trying to do but she was so rough and kept digging and digging at the same spot. I was wincing and eventually just asked her to leave it alone. She sighed and rolled her eyes and set the device down on the tray loudly. It was as if she didn't want me to say or ask anything. At that point I just wanted it over. My right big toe was really hurting me and I saw a spot of blood that she simply washed off with the used pedicure water. No antiseptic. I had planned to get a gel manicure as well but the pedicure was so bad that I just told them I didn't want the manicure. I have never NOT tipped a nail tech but it took everything in me to leave her an extra $5 (for a $40 service) and I immediately regretted it. Avoid this place. That being said, I am very picky with sanitary procedures as I've known a couple people working in the beauty industry and have heard the horror stories. I am pleased to report that they do use disposable liners for the pedicure tub. They open their sanitized implements in front of you. Jenny did my manicure and pedicure, she wore gloves the entire time and was very nice. Thy worked on my child and was very sweet. The spa is very clean, and they offer many services it is truly a one stop place, they do nails, hair, skin, massage. It's been a day and my pedicure looks like it's been 2 weeks old , it looks horrible . This is strictly for the esthitician services - there is a fabulous esthitician at this location, Ms. Trish! She is 5+ stars! I have been seeing her once a month faithfully for the past 5+ years now and I wish I'd known her much sooner! She is a lady who loves her craft and it shows! She is very attentive to your skin concerns, she provides post skin care suggestions & its wonderful to trust your skin to someone that has a genuine concern for their client and their skin. I've had many facials over the years and I would always vote for Trish hands down! I do hope one day they would expand to the Cypress area but for now I'll continue to travel a bit for my monthly visits. Today was my second time coming back because the first time was so good it convinced me to switch nail salons the place is super beautifully decorated and has a luxurious feel and super welcoming vibe. They have a point system as well as a nice check in area that explains all the services they provide. I was able to get a full set and they did exactly what I asked for. They provide you with drinks and lots of spa treatment I truly felt relaxed while I was getting my nails done. She seemed rushed, not taking the time needed, and it wasn't enjoyable at all. Within two days, five of my gel nails chipped, and I sensed Nina's frustration, which unfortunately translated into a not-so-great outcome. To add to the hassle, as I was leaving, I noticed she forgot to apply the top coat on one of my nails. I went back after getting my nails fixed just two minutes prior. Nina saw me and said "hey what is wrong now?" in a super rude tone. The rudeness I encountered during this return visit was disheartening. After just two days, one of my nails chipped AGAIN, and the overall dissatisfaction made me question whether I even wanted to go back. Spending a significant amount for a gel manicure that didn't last a week was disappointing. Especially since this was supposed to be a treat for myself. Despite my reservations, I returned and requested someone else to fix my nail. I came in today after work at around 5:30 for a soak off and a full set. I was greeted promptly and given a seat. I was offered a drink and I chose a cosmopolitan. There are several other options however. For my nails I wanted a natural coffin nail with not too much white. My nails came out great. And the nail tech was nice. The owners stop by frequently to make sure things are going smoothly. The reason for the 4 stars is because the nail tech was a little fast with the electric file and several of my cuticles were cut to short. I had to put neosporin on my nails when I hit home. I really want to love this place but I've been here 4x and only one time did I actually like my nails. I'm new to the area and can't seem to find a spot I like. I got a pedicure and a dip manicure. My pedicure was for the most part good she just over did it on digging at my ingrown therefore leaving a throbbing pain on 2 toes for almost 2 weeks. Now my manicure was not good at all. I believe the tech had a personal matter going on bc she disappeared for quite some time after leaving my hands in the bowl of acetone and when she returned she mumbled something about apologizing for her being gone so long. I think it's become more common now to charge for shape...fine I'll pay the $5 but at least make them all same. I asked for almond shape but some could be a little more narrow and smoother. The actual polish was not smooth. She had to redo 3 nails 3x bc it wasn't dry when she was checking and it messed them up. So removed the polish and had to do the whole thing all over again and over again. The clear coat that goes on top was not smooth and very sticky why is why I think the color was not smooth. When she filed my pinky nail she did it so much and so hard that it split my skin open and I started bleeding. Of course she apologized but another drink would've been nice had they offered. Which gets me to my last point ... usually they ask me right away what I want to drink and the guy brings it shortly after but I must've been there 15 mins when he finally came by and that was after my pedicure tech told him. I was never offered a 2nd drink nor water. My 3rd visit was my favorite visit and I hope they have my techs name on my file so I can only request her and not have any other issues but if I can't looks like I'll have to find a new spot. This place has become so hit or miss. Ive gone here a handful of times and probably will not return unless I have something unexpected come up and need services. They nickel and dime you for everything. Pay in credit card? Extra fee. Want the chrome finish on your nails? Extra 20$! I don't mind paying for someone's time and / or product, but 20$ seems absolutely excessive. I got a white French tip gel manicure for $42 and within a week it started peeling off. Review update- Dropped down to 1 star due to the customer service. This is now my 5th time here original post is below. I've come in here with friends and family and on my own, each experience was different. Long story short. The location is nice and clean, drinks are a nice amenity. One of the guys came around to do my manicure as a lady did my pedicure. My polish looked very thick I asked the guy to fix it. He insisted on just putting on a top coat to make it even thicker. I refused and requested that he remove the choppy work on that finger and repaint it. He then told me that the nail polish was thick and no good. THEIR nail polish!!! If it's no good why are you putting on my nails??? My moms manicure didn't even include cuticle pushing. She had to ask the lady to do it. My pedicure looks like something I could have done myself and my nail is not smooth you can see lines under the polish because she did not buff and smooth out the nail. The guy that did my nails wouldn't give his name so I unfortunately cannot share it with you. Lee did my pedicure and did not provide good quality. Lynn did my moms pedicure and was rude and sarcastic then asked for her tip when she gave us the bill before our nail were even finished! First time here. An actual bar in the nail salon , sooo many different fun color options, ambiance is really nice, prices are kind of high but I'm guessing the drink prices are included . My actual nail tech was not the friendliest but the ladies around me seemed like they had fun welcoming personalities, front desk and bar area had great customer service as well. I come here every 2-3 weeks. Always a wonderful time. Girls are friendly, always sweet and kind and they remember regulars. Kim by far is my favorite. I went to get my nails done yesterday (blue/green color: not by Kim, but i won't mention her name because she's done services before and she is still wonderful) yesterday my nails just fell short. I didn't notice until today because i was so relaxed and falling asleep from my pedicure that I didn't even check my nails. I went back today to see what they could do, because in all fairness.. I did pay almost $70 for just my manicure so I want to be satisfied until my next visit. (I added a paraffin wax and cuticle trim) This time I requested Kim because she is a MAGICIAN. Hi! My first time here at executive nails & spa was great. Which was before the new year. I was helped by John and Nina on 12/30/2020. They were so nice and took their time with me. They even let me have a minute looking at the nail colors, no rush. (It was also a busy night and it was great customer service) Nina went and got prepared while I looked at colors. (Again this is my first time, I never do nails) They were good people. So I really enjoyed it. I decided to take care of my nails more often, telling myself I'm gonna come back. My last 2 times have not been as welcoming. The third time I went to the spa was on 01/25/2021 and I was helped by Cindy. She was okay, she still took somewhat her time with my nails but it really made me uncomfortable when she started tapping fingers on the counter while I was looking at nail color. She asked me to "use one hand" I thought it was rude specially the tapping of the fingers. My fourth time was today, 02/11/2021 I was helped by Kim and Emma. Again it was not welcoming. Kim did not take her time on my nails. My nails were dirty inside and my first couple of times that was taken care of. I also mentioned to Kim there was something poking on my nail, she "fixed" it with sandpaper but that thing is still there, you can still see it. She didn't care much to fix it, I didn't say anything I just know not to go back to her again. After getting my eyebrows waxed. I told her I was gonna use the restroom. A couple of minutes pass and she's knocking on the door. When I get out she's waiting there with the receipt. Again I'm uncomfortable because I feel pressured. Like I was trying to leave without paying. She followed all the way to cashier without repeating "right there, right there" *pointing the direction to cashier* I don't know if it's because I look so young or the way I dress but it's bad judgement. read more
