Came to a TRX class with Melanie earlier and it was so nice. I've never been to a YogaSix location before but I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a bit more intensity, but I ended up getting some really good stretching in as well as some practice with a few particular poses. It was challenging and refreshing in a different way and I really enjoyed it. The studio was very pain in orderly, but more than anything it was welcoming. With it being my first time, I was so pleasantly surprised to see a nice welcome note when I first walked in. It had my name on it and everything. I'm always a little skeptical of corporate yoga spots, but this one actually was quite warm and made me feel comfortable enough to come back. Plus, I really enjoyed the class. I might have opted for different music, but Melanie is at a great job. There is ample parking available in nearby lots. They offer refreshing eucalyptus towels. The bathroom is clean with deodorant, facial spray, and dry shampoo, if you need it. I absolutely look forward to coming back. read more

There should be a minimum grace period of 5 minutes of late arrival. Life can get complicated, we don't need our hobbies to be complicated as well. Yoga is about being free spirit, walking into a business that provides you with that energy would probably get you more customers. Located in Kingstowne Towne Center, near the movie theater, between bonefish grill and smashburger. Nice facility and friendly instructors/front desk staff. I really like the Tuesday and Thursday hot class and TRX class with Alison. I'm not able to go often because of work, but her classes are always so good! I like that the room is spacious and open, and that they provide eucalyptus towels--which are a lifesaver in hot. I've been to multiple yogasix locations and this is my second favorite! read more

Absolutely love YogaSix Kingstowne! It's super clean and nice inside. Everyone is always super kind and helpful. I started as a newbie having only tried yoga a handful of times growing up. So coming here initially I was intimidated but they are so helpful and patient. The teachers are always showing you/ telling you different moves you can do if you can't do the one they are asking you to do. They also allow you to feel comfortable to do moves that feel good for you. I have tried a few of their classes and am excited to try more! The prices are very decent as well. As a mom going to a yoga class even once a week has helped me to decompress and have me time. read more

I'm 5 months pregnant and had booked a 10:30 am yoga class through ClassPass. Got there at 10:31 and the woman at the front desk refused to let me in because "the door had already shut." I explained that I'm pregnant (it's also pretty obvious from my protruding belly that I'm pregnant), I walk a little bit more slowly now which is why I was a minute late, but she still refused. THIS WAS NOT MY FIRST TIME at this studio, so no requirement to be 10 minutes early. I've been to other yoga studios (CorePower) where they have a similar policy, but it's not THAT strictly enforced. I could not (and still cannot) believe they wouldn't allow even a 1 minute grace period. If someone else who had gotten there before had left class to use the restroom, they would've been allowed back in, which still "disturbs the peace." I will NEVER come back here and others should AVOID. Expecting mamas should try out CorePower or Breathe Body and Mind in Springfield (they even have classes specifically for prenatal yoga!). Great variety of classes, great instructors, and they don't treat their customers like sh*t. read more

I was hesitant to start yoga, having only done a few adhoc classes where I felt clumsy and uncoordinated. I took a Yoga 101 class and enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere. Melanie answered all my questions and offered suggestions to help make me more comfortable learning the different poses. Now I'mhooked! I love the amazing instructors (shout out to Faith and Lisa!), the schedule flexibility, and the supportive Yogis who are so kind and helped me overcome my insecurities. Atmosphere is very welcoming to everyone, all skill levels, body types and ages are represented there. Yoga6 isn't just yoga, it community. When you walk in the door you are greeted and acknowledged. The facility is clean and comfortable. The YogaSix team is amazing! I started with the studio about 8 months ago during rehab for sciatica, and it has done a wonderful job in improving my strength and flexibility. My wife and I use our unlimited monthly memberships to take a variety of classes. Jessica's 101 class was the perfect introduction to yoga for a newbie like me; she teaches at a great pace for beginners and does a wonderful job explaining everything well while adding variety from one class to the next to keep things fresh. More recently, we've been taking Malena's and Lisa's power yoga and hot yoga classes, which are a great workout, a nice challenge, and a ton of fun! The energy and positivity Malena and Lisa bring to each class are inspiring. They add progressively more difficult variants on poses, enabling everyone in the class to find success and challenge themselves no matter what their experience or skill level. The facility is modern and always immaculately clean, and the staff are all friendly, courteous, and very professional. YogaSix has become an important and shared part of both of our lives. I started doing yoga three months ago, so I'm totally new to the practice. But my care provider recommended it to help manage anxiety and stress. I started out with the restore yoga, and am now doing slow flows and yoga 101 classes. The restore class is great for those who train. Since I'm also running again, and doing HIIT classes several times a week, the yoga has not only helped manage my anxiety, but has helped me to become a better athlete. Yogasix has many packages you can choose from, including a ten class package, or you can choose to do 4 classes a month with a separate package. The class is heated, but it helps with breathing and to get into the stretch. Everyone is at a different fitness level in this studio: You don't have to be one size to practice yoga. read more

The first class I went to was decent! A little slow. I really appreciated that they gave someone who was running late an extra minute to show up. Most studios aren't like this. I'm docking two stars because when I showed up one minute late. Literally at the 01 mark the door was closed and they told me I was too late. What happened to the same grace they showed the other student at my previous class? Sorry I got caught behind a trash truck. I guess if you're not a regular you don't get the same treatment of a one minute delay. Especially since you have to sign up and pay in advance you think they would give you at least a minute. read more

Yoga Six is wonderful! The staff and instructors in Alexandria are welcoming and friendly. It is clean and well organized. The lighting in the studio is forgiving of imperfect bodies like mine and there are lots of body types there which I love. read more
