Overall, our experience was really fun. They have a great waterpark, at least on the weekends, with music and the water was nice and cold. Everything was very clean and well kept at the pools/waterpark. They had a movie playing at the pool on Friday night and the pool was open until 10 PM. We have been coming here every October for 5 years. They always have fun activities going on for the kids. The facilities are nice as well, especially compared to the other Jellystone location we've been to. We usually tent camp. They have the sites marked, but you just kind of have to make it worked, but that's never a problem. They continue to add on to the things they offer and make improvements. The splash pad area they have is awesome and a great addition. They also have a video game space, pool tables, shuffle board, etc. They also have a little restaurant area to order burgers and such. The food is just fine but nothing amazing. The people here are always nice and accommodating. read more

I hate to put this review, as the employees were so friendly, but we will not be back. The place looks trashy... RV storage in front of the property instead of hidden in the back and long term tenants have rickety looking decks on their campers and our neighbor had some rusty machinery outside. They had bird feeders, which was nice to see and hear the birds, but they shit all over our stuff. There are cats wandering everywhere, in the store, at our campsite... they pissed on our stuff. very spotty WiFi, pretty much non existent. Dog park needed a lawn cut, grass was way too high to see and pick up poop... Hubby said the pool area looked nice, but unfortunately we won't be back to try it out. read more

Cute little stop in Hye, TX. We found the convenient store while stopping at Valero to fill up on gas. The convenient store had very cute Yogi the Bear memorabilia. Giving it only 4 due to lack of posted prices for most of the items in the store. The store was jammed with merchandise ranging from Jellystone souvenirs to snacks to camping necessities. Just seemed odd that you won't know how much any of it costs until you're at the register. read more

Used to love Jellystone, but especially this one since it was the closet one to where we live. But due to the weather over 2 years ago, we had to cancel. They told us that we could have a credit to use at a future visit. We called to make a reservation a few months ago and said our credit had expired and that they usually don't give credit for that anyway. Lost us as repeat visitors. read more

I wouldn't advise doing business with this establishment. This business doesn't care about the safety of your or your family. My family was going to travel to Fredericksburg over the weekend and drive back on Monday, but the Governor just advised everyone to stay at home because of the winter cold front coming in. If we were to make this trip it would require us to drive 5 hours on icy roads with 4 children, putting everyone at grave risk of injury or death. I called and explained the situation and asked to move the date to a future weekend, but they couldn't have cared less. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that the only person I could talk to is the owner and that she wouldn't be available to talk to me for a week. WHAT? The person I spoke to was rude, and showed an absolute lack of empathy. She gave me zero options but to forfeit the money I've spent to book or the room, or keep the date and risk our lives. For a family business to show such disregard for family is shameful. read more

We were able to enjoy spending time with each other playing all the FREE amenities! My family was excited to play multiple arcade games without the additional costs. The people who work here are very nice and try to be accommodating. However, according to management because of staffing shortages, several activities are not always available. We stayed from Sunday through Wednesday. I think more might be open on the weekends. The picnic basket restaurant is not open at all. The water park concession has not been open any of the time we have been here, even though they told us on Monday that it would be open on Tuesday. I recommend you read the website very carefully and look at the actual schedule of events, and the hours. Of course, it says all events and activities are subject to change. It is several miles out of town and nobody delivers so be prepared to either cook or drive for food. The water park is very nice and clean and great for kids. The cabin we stayed in-a 2 bedroom-is small but very nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay-just wish we had been able to enjoy all the activities and get food at the park as advertised. read more

My friends and I rented three RV spots and brought all of our kids so they could enjoy a weekend at Jelly Stone Park. This by far was the most disappointing stay at any Jelly Stone Park we have ever had. This being our fourth time we anticipated a lot of fun activity's for the kids and adults. Well Fredericksburg Jelly Stone had very limited activity's scheduled. Today is July 4th and there is nothing to do with our kids. They did do the crafts at 1130 now they have to wait until 430 for a ballon fight. This park is also in major need for repairs with ran down facilities and unsafe places to even walk through. This brand has an expectation attached to it. You are not meeting the standard for Texas. And if you believe you are please visit Kerrville, and Burleson parks. I'm disappointed we stayed here and I will not and can not suggest this park to family and friends. read more

We had a reservation for Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in Fredericksburg, TX. A couple of days before we were scheduled to arrive, it became clear that there would be dangerously high winds for the time of our travel and stay, I called to inquire about changing our reservation so that we could come a couple of weeks later when it was safe to travel. I was told that the manager (who could make the decision) was not there at the moment and that they would have her call me back early the next morning. The call never came in. I finally called them back and spoke with someone who did not identify themself. And in a cold and matter of fact tone (zero compassion), this person explained that they would not work with me to change my reservation to a later date where it would be safe to travel with a camper. I tried to explain that we did not want a refund; that we would just like to reschedule for a couple of weeks later when it would be safe to travel but, she cut me off and stated that if they changed the reservations due to weather for everyone, that they would never make any money. Now I can understand not letting us reschedule if it was just due to rain but, this was due to dangerously high winds. My point is, do not look for these people to have any sympathy for your family's wellbeing or health and safety. They made it crystal clear that my family was only a number to them. read more

Coming here for our wine pickups. Let's just say I can see all the construction that has been done for a water park that is jammed up in the corner, new "wine" very small weird back in sites. New septic right behind our $100 site. No care has been taken to keep the rest of the park nice. Dirt is the main landscape. The entire park needs to be cleaned up and restored, new grass, new stone. For $100 a night I expect a concrete pad or a gravel site that is level. Dog park is dirt. There is a cat litter bucket full of bad water and the doggy bag station has a bird's nest on it. That tells you the level of detail that is not being addressed. read more

Great little spot for a family vacation. Our cabin was a perfect little two bedroom with a kitchenette. Only complaint was not having a stove like the last time we booked. We specifically asked for a full kitchen and didn't know this cabin wouldn't have a stove/oven. There was also food left in the microwave which was a nasty surprise... but things happen. The new water area is amazing!! Absolutely love this new addition to the park. You can tell more construction is going to start soon and we look forward to more variety. We've been coming to this campground for 7 years straight for Octoberfest every year.. Have had nothing but great times and lovely experience every year.. with that said; apparently there is new management and crazy nazi host roaming around telling you to slow down if you're going faster than 7 miles and hour.. they will run up to you at night with a flashlight as if waiting for the opportunity to reprimand someone. Also, now all of a sudden you are not allowed to bring your own firewood and required to buy specifically from the store on site.. (small crappy little pieces of wood). Great job Yogi, y'all screwed up. You've clearly lost business, cause the place is 30% full. And watch out for Stephanie, who will jump in front of your cornhole game with a beer in hand and tell you to shut it down; even asking you to throw it, cause she will catch it. Our family and friends have come to this park for almost a decade now, specifically for Oktoberfest. Usually the campground is perfectly maintained and the staff are friendly. This was NOT the case with our most recent trip. In fact, we had such a horrible experience that our entire group has decided we will not come back to this park! We will still come to town, but are now looking at any other option except for here! Every single staff member, camp host, etc that we interacted with was rude, standoffish or just completely unhelpful and unfriendly. We felt like we couldn't even enjoy the campground at all. The grass was high, there were stickers EVERYWHERE and it generally looked run down compared to previous years. This also was the first year where it felt like the park was empty. Usually, we have to book our sites months in advance to get a spot for Oktoberfest weekend and we were surprised with how little people there were BUT based on our trip, we get it. Now, we understand why the park had so many empty spots! It's highly disappointing, especially considering how expensive it is to even camp here in the first place. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! We thought about taking our daughter to the Jellystone in Burleson for her upcoming birthday, BUT we are so upset with our most recent trip that I think we will stop going to or recommending Jellystone Parks anywhere at all. My boyfriend and I just came back from the most refreshing three days in fredricksburg at jellystone. We stayed in the cabins which are so cute accommodating and spotless clean. It was so nice to be able to get out of the city for awhile but still have every amenity we would ever need. WiFi, amazing shower pressure, a kitchen etc etc. the couple that own the campground al and sissy and all of their staff are just the most kind friendly accommodating and welcoming people. We absolutely loved staying here and would absolutely recommend it for anyone! And definitely plan on coming back! read more

Below was going to be my last review. We have been to this park 3 prior times since March of 2018. But.....We scheduled for Memorial Day weekend. Had a dog with an illness in the family. I called to reschedule 2 days prior to our arrival. I was told I need to speak to the manager the next day, when they are there. So I called and spoke to Manager Sissie. She stated they have a 7 day cancelation policy in effect since January 2019 no exceptions (she said per email at the bottom this is stated, no one said this, when we called the park to make the reservation) or you lose your entire payment. Ours loss - $308. And better yet no credit for a future date - reschedule. Won't reschedule as other parks do. I have had 1 other time, that I have had to reschedule at a KOA and they were going to either keep the 1st day deposit or we could reschedule. We rescheduled because we still wanted to visit and we did and had a great time. This was to be our last review..... Stayed a third time at Wine Country Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Love Fredericksburg and the vineyards. Dogs love the park too. Will definitely be back and recommend to a friend. There policy is stupid. To lose repeat customers, which is what has happened. We will be back to Fredericksburg, but not to Jellystone TWC. And we will definitely not be recommending to friends, quite the opposite, we will tell them to be aware of their unfriendly customer practice of not allowing to reschedule. Common sense. And I am sure they will rent the spot out to the first person who shows up. Double their money. Especially on a holiday weekend. Stupid stupid stupid. read more

We have been to a few other Jellystones in the area and this one was definitely the only one we won't return to. Very few activities for the kids. Not a lot of friendly staff. It is super dirty since the roads are not paved. We actually left a day early because it was such a let down. read more

This place does it right! Second time to bring our five year old grandson and we had even more fun that our last visit because we downloaded the app and got fifteen minutes notice of all the character times and activities. Hay rides, face painting, story time with Yogi, family movie night, kick ball game with the whole camp. Such a blast! The activities are spaced perfectly to allow for meals and naps. When you are on your own there's a wonderful pool and hot tub, play scape, lodge with pool tables, ping pong, and shuffleboard, and the most unique thing is a giant outdoor pillow to jump on. Our grandson made a ton of friends there! The grounds are clean, the sites are nice, the facilities are well maintained, the staff are friendly and go above and beyond, the store is well stocked. If you are looking for some fun camping in tents, RVs or cabins in central Texas, this is your spot! read more

Wonderful place to camp!!!! The park is extremely clean AND the campsites are not literally on top of each other and you have room to breathe. There's so much for kids to do even though we don't have any it was still need to see everything that was available. The pool tables and shuffleboard was available. Our hot water heater went out on our new camper and it was wonderful to have clean large shower facilities to go to. We will definitely be back!!! read more

I never write reviews But I just have to give a shout out to the employees at this park. Last night we called to try and order a pizza and got no answer, figured they had closed For the night. My phone rings a few minutes later from a Woman who says she noticed they missed a call from this number. It was storming out big time and they were actually about to close but she called back anyway to make sure we were taken care of. Who does that? Then tonight we called the office to ask if they sell firewood and the woman tells us yes and when I ask when they close it was basically right now but She says oh I'll wait for you to come. reserved a cabin for a family member to stay in and had to cancel it due to their car broke down and will not be ready in time. Called the office to cancel the reservations and was told i was going to be charged for it because I didn't cancel 2 weeks in advance. We have stayed here many times and even had family reunions which brought many people in from out of town that stayed in cabins and rv spots. Never again will we stay there are promote them. We camped with our two daughters (10 and 4) in November. Got down to 40 at night but with several blankets we were great! The tent area here was so nice. They had a huge variety of beautiful native plants. I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the restrooms. The store was stocked with everything you need and they had an onsite restaurant open in the evening with great thin crust pizza. We rented the pedal cars, played putt putt, fed the fish, and did the jumping pillow. Awesome for kids or first time campers! read more

Close to $500 for food left in microwave, spider and web at the front door, plunger by front door, toilet did not flush well,spot had to be cleaned up off the floor upon entering, sheet and blankets wore out,we could go on but won't. The rest of our trip outside of the park was wonderful. I guess if you drink enough wine you overlook everything. Overpriced winter pricing BIGTIME!! You are much better off staying at jellystone in kerrville with tons more indoor kids activities in the winter and indoor pool. Or if needing to stay near fbg, staying a few miles up the road at Hill Country RV $20-$30 a night) or Fredericksberg RV Park. It rained Saturday from 4pm all night n thunderstorm w hail that night into the next morning. We wanted up go into fbg for a bit n get lunch n checked out at 2 pm Sunday n got charged $25 more on top of the $125 for 2 nights- even after mentioning that we wanted to check out a bit late Bc of weather delaying our plans. And believe me there was nobody at all waiting to come into that RV park. lol Insane! SMH Definately in summer but even in winter, jellystone Canyon lake & Kerrville are a much better choice w indoor pool option and many more all day planned activities. This place just wants money to stay afloat is my observance.. It was sad to have had that experience. We love fbg and come often. read more

We've been going to the JellyStone Park in Fredericksburg for 5 years now and have loved how it was a nice little get away for our family. Now with three kids, ages 5, 3 and 1, you would think our getaway weekend would have been nice and relaxing, just what we needed, but unfortunately it was very stressful and highly dissappointing. Apparently TWC JellyStone does $10 day passes now where anyone off the street with a $10 bill can waltz into the park and have full day access to all of the amenities that those who spent a pretty penny to leave town for a getaway have..... $10!!! There were so many LARGE families, drinking alcohol and eating FOOD in the shallow parts of the pool who were there for the day, leaving no safe room for our littles to play without being dunked, jumped on, or hit with something these people were throwing.! Let's talk about the group of teenagers that took over the jumpy pillow and just sat there, staring at the littles who wanted to jump .... so we couldn't do that either...this same group of kids were standing ON TOP of the pool fence and jumping off of it, only to grab a football and throw it in the direction where all of the little kids were confined to playing in the pool that was taken over by a bunch of $10 day passes... And apparently outside people can come in for birthday parties? We went swimming this morning before we left the campground and there were two trucks (day pass people) that had backed up to the pool and had set up tables, coolers, and bbq pits with the intention of large parties coming in for the day, not to mention the day pass people had taken up 5.... FIVE tables for their party at the pool.... that's an entire covered area at the TWC pool out of the three covered areas.... and for ONE outside party.... If I wanted to go to a pool that was open to the public, I would have stayed home with my children, and not paid over $100 for the same amenities.... Unfortunately, if you provide a $10 day pass, that cheap amount is going to attract the cheap kind of families and people that don't care about their surroundings.... And you didn't see much of the staff coming around to monitor what was going on in the park... which didn't make me or my husband (along with some other campers we met over the weekend with the SAME concerns... How do you expect us to WANt to return if public access is given to the entire park, and no one is putting their foot down to do something about how these $10 day pass people behave and respect the facilities... This weekend was the trashiest I have ever seen TWC JellyStone.... We actually cancelled our future reservation for later on this summer, and who knows when/if we will come back.... read more

Camped here 3 nights in April. Lovely facility. Very clean. Friendly helpful staff. Wifi works better than most campgrounds. Very few campgrounds in the area allow tent camping. We pull pop up with motorcycle and were very pleased with our stay. read more

TWC Jellystone is a pretty good park. The sites are all clean, easy to access, and well maintained. The additional amenities at this park are nice, especially for keeping kids occupied. I've stayed at this particular park twice and enjoy that it is near several wineries and is just a short trip into downtown Fredericksburg. Everyone I've dealt with there has been very polite and they even let me park my trailer on site for a few hours after checkout so we could enjoy the area a little bit longer before leaving town. read more

This was the worst Jellystone Park we have visited. The staff was not as pleasant as they should be and couldn't even answer questions about Covid 19 preparations. The camp spots (we had spots 8 and 9) were horrible with no tree and no shade or grass but plenty of biting ants.. There are no paved areas except in front of the store. There was so much dust because of arriving campers that it was hard to even sit outside. We were supposed to be in a different site and made the reservation 2 weeks in advance however they moved us to a different spot and left our camp friends in their original spot so they had to argue to get switched. There were no chairs around the pool so take your own. All of the activities are very distant from most of the RV camp sites. We were there 3 days and never found the bathrooms or showers. Although the kids did get to do some activities overall they were sadly disappointed as we are. No recommendations from us except to stay away. read more
