Came into Yogolicious in Merced on 4/17 around 8:45 PM with my pregnant wife because she was craving something cold. We noticed they closed at 9:00 PM so we figured we still had enough time. When we walked in two employees were cleaning and did not acknowledge us at all. The silence was so awkward that I even told my wife maybe they were upset we came in so close to closing. We tried to grab our yogurt as fast as possible but the whole time we felt judged and rushed. There was no greeting no kindness just silence and uncomfortable stares. When it was time to pay it was the same thing just a very awkward and rude attitude. I'm sure management can look back at the cameras if needed. This was a very uncomfortable experience and because of it I will not be coming back. I would not recommend this place especially if you are coming in anywhere close to closing time. read more

I don't usually take time to write reviews, but this Yogurtland truly deserves it. On multiple occasions, I've stopped by this location, and every single time it's been spotless and well-kept. The service is always amazing and I know what you're thinking, "How can service be amazing when you serve yourself?" Well, let me tell you. From the moment you walk in, there's always someone ready to greet you with a smile. Whenever I've come in with my kids, the staff have been patient, helpful, and quick to answer any questions or recommend new toppings. One time, I was really craving warm caramel for my yogurt and couldn't find it. The young man at the register noticed, and instead of just checking us out like business as usual, he stopped and kindly told me exactly where to find it. That kind of attention to detail might seem small to some, but to me it says everything about how much they care. There's also a young lady who works there who's equally kind and attentive. It's refreshing to see young people taking pride in their work, giving great customer service, and creating experiences that make customers want to come back. Too often, people treat these jobs like "just a job," but not here. One more quick story when my daughter graduated from junior high, I called right before closing to see if we could still come by. It was about 8:58 PM, and the young man on the phone told me they closed at 9 but said he'd wait a few extra minutes if needed. We made it before closing, but he didn't rush us or make us feel like an inconvenience. He treated us with the same warmth and respect as if we had come hours earlier. I just left your location and I'm very disappointed. Your posted closing time is 9:00 PM, but at 8:21 PM the employees were already sweeping, picking up mats, and putting sides away while customers were still coming in and out. It felt very unwelcoming and rude. read more

We ordered small half strawberry and half cheesecake topped with cheesecake chunks and one added blackberries because they were out of strawberries. The yogurt was a little on the icy side and the cheesecake lacked "cheesecake" flavor. They are doing a great job with social distancing however the pricing should probably be changed to by size and toppings since the employees are fixing your choices for you. This is my favorite yogurt place in Merced because of two things: the Hawaiian Pineapple flavor and the cookie dough topping. I used to work at Tutti Melon back in the day and we had this cookie dough topping that was SO GOOD, it's not the usual little round piece of hard cookie dough you usually see, but it has the texture, look, and consistency of real cookie dough. After Tutti Melon closed, I couldn't find another yogurt place that had the same kind of cookie dough - until Yogolicious came around and I was super surprised and ecstatic when I saw they had the cookie dough that I liked. Who knew, Merced of all places! I'm not usually a big fan of pineapple or dole whip, but the Hawaiian Pineapple yogurt flavor is just so light, refreshing, and somewhat creamy, it's heaven in a cup. Load on the cookie dough and some fruit and I have my perfect cup of yogurt. The shop is always clean - to the point where it smells like bleach and other cleaning materials when you walk in. There are a variety of fresh fruits, wet and dry toppings, and tons of sauces and drizzles (even Tajin seasoning!). They're always neat and organized. The only reason why I'm giving it 3 stars is because of the smell of cleaning chemicals and the price - it's more expensive (45 cents per ounce) than other yogurt places I've been to, and even the smallest cup of yogurt can cost you up to $5. read more

I went with my family to get some frozen yogurt and their was two young wonderful ladies that were attending us, they were very patient with us they offered us free extra yogurt with extra toppings, and the best part was that they gave us a big smile that just made my day! Yeah your right about the the seating area there is a lot more space, but the one in Merced has a variety of more extra yogurt flavors to choose from. I highly recommend it too. I love how they change the flavors every 3 or 4 months, and have different seasonal every year! My favorite is the pumpkin pie and the hazelnut for October!! And their customer service is excellent! If you nice to them, they would offer you free extra toppings with no charge! Highly recommend it!! read more

It's a cool small yogurt spot. I personally think it tastes better than the other yogurt spot in the Promenade. The flavors are super limited and not really one's that I like. There is a ton of toppings you can choose from which is good! I always go for mochi, popping boba, and cheese cake bits. The texture of the yogurt is too watery for me. Decent and nice place for Merced; pricing and quality is pretty fair. There is not much that can go wrong with a yogo shop, but this place gets three starts because: -1: Parking lot sucks (Most of the closer spots are taken for panera, and or Chipotle. She greeted us & kept the store very clean as she was working by herself. However, the chemical scent hits you as soon as you walk in & that isn't very pleasant. I swear they have the same flavors every time I go in. Given this is the only legit froyo place in Merced (TCBY yogurt machine at a gas station on G st.), I guess I understand why it has a 4 star rating. The layout is so small, almost claustrophobic-like. The fresh toppings are pretty good, and they have various selections of syrup, but their selection of yogurt is not that great. To be honest, I actually prefer the Turlock location than this one. Overall, I'd rather go to Baskin Robbins just a few strides away, attached to the Mall, or to McDonald in the mall to get a soft serve vanilla ice cream cone. read more

I came here to enjoy a delicious yogurt, it was chocolate, I used marshmallow cream, and graham cracker. I got the biggest container they had. Even though my yogurt weight 30.61 ounces, and set me back a few dollars, i was more than okay with paying the price for my delicious snack. The reason I used chocolate yogurt with marshmallow cream and graham cracker is to create a s'mores yogurt, highly recommend! Now that I've spoke. Now that I've spoken so highly about the yogurt in question you might be wondering then "why the 1 Star?" I'll tell you why! As I got a nice big spoonful of yogurt, with the marshmallow cream and some crushed graham cracker, it was less than half inch to my mouth, my mouth drooling in anticipation of the first bite and then... I heard the music. You would expect an establishment that is meant to appeal to people of all backgrounds would play popular music, something we can all agree is pleasant to the ear. That was not the case... what be felled my ears was the deafening sound of Christian Music! It's not that the music was too loud that was bothering me, but the music itself and the genre that did. I was not at some church or Bible camp, yet here I am listening to music as if I was. It was quite traumatizing given my past with the church that I won't go into further detail on. Needless to say, I threw away my yogurt and never turned back. I do not recommend frequenting this establishment until they change the music selection!
