Second time we have gone to this location and we thought the first time was just off night. My kids just got home tonight from picking up our bogo two scoop sundaes and what a disappointment from the location on west Sahara in Las Vegas, NV. Tonight I sent my husband to get me a mint chocolate chip milkshake and this is what he came home with... a white, watered down milkshakes that hardly tastes like any mint is in it. I've been coming here for over 27 years. The ice cream is always delicious and I love their shakes. The shop is small but does have a few indoor tables. Service is usually very friendly. As soon as I walked into Baskin-Robbins, I was greeted with the biggest smile and a loud "HIIIII, WELCOME IN!" It honestly made me smile right away. I got the chocolate chip ice cream and it was so good and super creamy! The girl who helped me was tall, probably around my age, and seriously so sweet. She was really patient while I looked at the flavors and just had a really friendly vibe. It's one of those small moments that makes you want to come back. A pair of brothers by law, with a passion for ice cream discussed their favorite dessert with the intention of expanding taste pallets with a variety of flavors other than the mundane vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry! Their business survived the Great Depression, World War Two and has become a family icon; my gramma used to take us grandkids for some ice cream after school here, I take my children here all the time with the sole purpose of enjoying our favorite ice cream. I had a craving this night for some cappuccino blast, jamoca shake, and Banana split sunday. We were greeted and served by this adorable lil lady that answers by the name Audrey. She is a delight! This is my very first time going into Baskin-Robbins. I went in there because basically it was my nephews birthday and she wanted ice cream cake. I got some help from Ashley. I believe was her name. I was very satisfied she recommended cookies and cream. it was a very good rectangular is nice ice cream cake. I have to update my review from 4 stars to 1. I have lived in the area for 7 years and this was normally my go to for ice cream. However, there has been a rapid decline over the past year or two. I can't sit here and support an establishment that constantly has hand hygiene problems and attitudes from hell. This has been seen on more than one location and last night was my last straw. First, you walk in and there are two younger employees in the back. Neither of them greeted the other customer or myself. In fact the female employee looked at me disgusted with no mask on and disappeared further into the back. The male employee was cutting/decorating a cake with no gloves on. Second, the male employee continued to do what he was doing without acknowledging our presence or even come out to serve us. He finally whipped around grabbed a glove and served. NO HAND WASHING. He stops my order to help at the cash register. Comes back with the SAME GLOVES ON AND NO HAND WASHING. I check out. Next customer comes in same damn thing. Hand hygiene is important and simple. I really wanted to walk out and leave but we decided to stay.... I probably won't go back to this location which is sad because I've been coming for years here and there. I'm assuming this would be the owner. There was an Asian lady who was very rude to two little girls who came in wanting to use a free ice cream coupon to the point my boyfriend wanted to tell her to just give them what they want and he'll pay for it. I don't understand why someone would be that rude to kids. They were no older than 10 and 12. There was also another elderly lady in there and she forgot her mask and they oddly waited for her to get to the counter to tell her her mask was missing as there was a growing line. Of course everyone let her go back to the front when she came back but again. They (I'm assuming the owner and the manager maybe.) were just kind of rude to the woman even while taking her order. They only have one set of doors open (they have two) so everyone piling in the get ice cream was blocking the door which. No throwback old-school brown domed windows like the one on Flamingo/Eastern or Jones/DI (* we've been to five out of the nine locations). The ice cream is good and price-wise pretty reasonable (the scoops are priced better than most in the immediate area; on months with 31 days, scoops are $1.31 each). Be sure to join the e-club for coupons. Flavors like jamoca, butter pecan, chocolate, strawberry cheesecake, cookies and cream, rocky road, and mint chocolate chip (just to name a few) are regulars (Seasonal: german chocolate cake). I spotted Green Tea, which I love. There is a monthly flavor like, currently, Mom's Makin' Cookies: chocolate chip cookie, chocolate chips, & a cookie batter ribbon. Also has no sugar added options and sherbet for special-diet needs. Other items are (polar pizza, cakes, prepacked ice cream) in the case. Clean store. Several clerks. Busy little place. This Baskin-Robbins is a complete ripoff. My twin daughters each got an email for a free scoop on their birthday. My daughters clearly told the Asian lady owner that they each have an email with a separate bar code. So two are free. The owner did not even want to look at the second email and charged for the second ice cream. The next day my daughter wanted more ice cream. So we went back to the same location. Big mistake. A young gentleman and two young ladies were waiting on customers. My daughter ordered two regular scoops of ice cream and paid for two regular scoops. I looked at her cup when she came out, and there was barely any ice cream in there. I went inside and asked them to weigh the cup. One kids scoop is 2 ounces and regular scoop is 2.5. So two regular should weigh at least 5 ounces. It came out to 4.2 with the bowl and plastic lid and they tried telling us that is correct . She lied because it should weigh 5 ounces at least plus some for the container. Do not go to this place. It is worth it to drive to Flamingo and 215 or Jones and Desert Inn. I sent my assistant to get ice cream for the team tonight. She went to get 10 quarts. Not scoops, quarts. She called me as she was there because some of the flavors we were seeking were sold out. I then got to listen to the owner and an employee treat my assistant horribly and ultimately she walked out with no ice cream. In this current business climate, with the Coronavirus and most businesses shut down or at best struggling, you'd think that our patronage would be appreciated. And to reiterate, the most shocking aspect being, we were there for 10 quarts of ice cream! Not 10 scoops, 10 QUARTS! We are very faithful to the businesses we frequent and being a business owner myself, I am always promoting other businesses. With this Baskin Robins, I will not be promoting them any longer, I will also no longer be doing business there myself, form my business and family. I love Baskin Robbins and have been going for years since I was a little kid. I've gone to locations in both California, where I grew up, and now Las Vegas. Most recently, I purchased three cups of ice cream and requested 5 extra spoons. Spoons that are plastic and worth .2 cents each, if that. Unless looks are deceiving and these plastic spoons are actually filled with gold? She admonished me for my request, mocked me for even asking, and ended up only giving me three. The first thing I noticed when waking in this store, was the dirty floor. To me if you can see the dirt in the outside what's on the inside where we can't see. But of course that didn't stop me from ordering ice cream from here lol. I have for years had the love of Jamoca Almond Fudge and been having a real craving for it lately. I was going to get the Cappichino Blast but opted for a plain cone single scoop. I brought my granson for a treat. There's a special 2 scoops and a free waffle cone.
