no frozen yogurt for me... just yogurt yogurt. - i totally get it though like machines inevitably break, but i honestly just had a really bad day at work and i have a pinched nerve in my lower back so the only thing getting me through my hellish Sunday shift was the thought of my plain tart frozen yogurt with cheesecake bites and strawberries i was about to indulge in that was just 8 hours and 1 bus ride away from, only finally arrive at my destination and be greeted with plain tart soup. i was gonna say something but there were the two older white women already complaining so i figured i wouldn't add on to their dog pile and just freeze it when i get home. again i understand that it happens im just sad it had to happen when i was there because now im lowkey crying because im in pain and just want to eat my frozen yogurt but i can't because i have to do the freezing part on my own read more

Unfortunately, this YL is no longer what it used to be. Soft serve yogurt was too soft and too sweet...sugary & consistency was more like a malt. It's not the first time I've visited and had similar experience. And it's not the only YL with the same issue. They do charge a pretty penny, so, let's hope for change! This review is very long overdue. Yogurtland on 2nd street has been there many years now. Although it was fantastic when it first opened, I've noticed that over the years it's not quite as clean, organized, and well-run as it once was. Just about EVERY single time I come into the store there is no one standing behind the counter. Usually, I have to stand at the register a while until someone comes out from the back. I've always thought that the ONE person working in the back explains why the store is usually in disarray. The front doors/windows are usually unkept, the yogurt dispenser screens are covered in overrun yogurt, the toppings counters are usually not filled and dirty and the same goes for the entire check out counter. I love yogurt so over the years I've made the drive to Seal Beach to get my yogurt there. Today, my husband convinced me to give second street another try as we were both too tired to make the drive to Seal Beach. Well, it was much of what we've experienced in the past. Tonight, there were two girls working. When we walked in, NO ONE was behind the counter. We went to serve ourselves our yogurt and as in the past, there was overspilled yogurt on many of the machines. Tonight, I took photos of the toppings stations as an example of what we experience when coming here. I get it, there can be times when there's lot's of customers and cleaning might become difficult, however, this is a food service business. I took a close up of the weight scale... it's likely not been wiped down in a very long time. I'm writing this review because I know that you could do better. I've worked retail, is there a cleaning schedule? Is someone wiping down the counter every hour? Is someone wiping down the front door and windows regularly? Again, today we waited at the front counter to pay while the two girls were in the back. Then we sat outside and ate our yogurt. While we sat outside we watched other guests have to wait to pay as well.... again, while the two girls were in the back. Just doesn't seem like good customer service. read more

Haven't been to a Yogurtland in a long time. They do have an assortment of flavors. The toppings are not as great as it used to be. 80+ cents an ounce and in leu of crushed Oreos and Biscoff cookies they want you to top with the entire cookie( not the norm) but I understand your quest to increase profit. Service was meh and we stood to eat our yogurt because the tables were not clean. read more

This Yogurt land location is the pits (I would have given them NO star or half a star, but there is no option to do this) They're the only ones that DON'T give free samples (this is a staple of any Yogurt land)! They NEVER have flavors working or missing & or they will duplicate default flavors to cover up this! Self serving stations are always dirty with yogurt! Sad thing is that this particular Yogurt land is in a great location that should be better then this for all of the foot traffic that still provides them to keep their doors open in such a tight economy! What a horrible experience and terrible business practices ..... I went in to redeem the BOGO promotion and was overcharged entirely from the posted ounce price to what I was charged. My 2 yogurts cost around $15 BEFORE the promo and then was charged $12.27 for the yogurts being told that it WAS the BOGO price and that "computers don't lie" ..... the posted store price per ounce was 73¢ I believe ..... on my receipt, the price is 59¢ per ounce as the "half price" .... I should have asked for my money back and left the yogurt there. I will NEVER return to that store. I tried calling the phone number listed and could only leave a message and it didn't even say that it was Yogurtland. I have started the complaint process with the corporate office. Next I may complain to the Better Business Bureau. I don't like being deceived. I hope people read this and avoid that store. read more

This store is located on second street in Belmont shore. I have been here several times with my daughter and my GF. The store is always clean and it has very nice personnel. One downside is that they only have one dairy free option...which is the bomb pop. It is very delicious but also the reason why they are getting 4 instead of 5 stars. The rest of their froyo selection is very good. I like the fact that you can take the two flavors in one station and combine them into a swirl....game changer. Their topping section is also always filled and looks great. I will be a frequent visitor this and coming summers for sure. read more

I walked into this store and the first thing they said was that there are no sample cups. "We don't do it here at this location." The second thing was that the yogurt machine was runny. It needed to be a solid consistent stream of yogurt like other yogurtlands. The third and final thing was that this place charges higher than normal. I usually and CONSISTENTLY get a 5 dollars cup based on my portion size. Not only did it was 7.30 in total, but they also weighed the spoon? This is unfair to customers. I do not encourage nor recommend this Yogurtland establishment to other customers, being a yogurtland connoisseur myself. I'm never coming back here. read more

Janet the cashier tonight was very rude. We had a coupon for 5oz free she confirmed we could use it. Then when she confirmed it was 5oz that we have purchased there machine was malfunctioning. Instead of letting us use the coupon she said we had to go somewhere else and she threw away the yogurt that we had. Very disappointed as she wasted the product and had an unhappy customer. She was also giving other people a hard time for no reason. I recommend you avoid this location. read more

I mean...it's Yogurtland. If you haven't been to a Yogurtland yet, I don't know what to tell you. It is like every other Fro-yo place ever invented in the last 40 years. This location in particular is easy to walk to, they keep it clean, and everything worked pretty much the way it was supposed to. The stand out toppings they offered were the fresh fruit including lychee and the 3 different "bubble" options (they are like boba filled with juice instead of solid gelatin), one of which had lychee juice in it. They were delicious! Highly recommend them. Staff was cordial. No line. Open Late. Not a bad choice to satisfy your after dinner sweet tooth. Pro tip: Don't fall for the suggested tip option starting at 22%!!! I mean, didn't I just pour the frozen yogurt, add my own toppings, and then bring it up to you? Great location, excellent vibe in the area. On a sunny California day, yogurtland is a perfect place to have little treat after lunch. Several eating places around and you can see lots of people shopping and enjoying the atmosphere on the 2nd Street. The new Churro flavor was something worth trying. I love the coffee flavor that they have and always enjoyed blending two flavors or multiple flavors for that matter. My kids will have a blast when we visit yogurtland, they feel privileged for being able to choose the flavors themselves. Plethora of toppings of choose from. To go place when it comes to ice cream for our family. The staff were very supportive and attentive in this location. Will recommend this branch if you are around this place. read more

Great location with lots of street parking available. Place is nice and clean and brightly lit. I like that it's open later at night for those 9pm froyo cravings. I'm willing to pay a bit more for that reason. I like that they make an effort to keep the toppings bar well stocked and neat. I didn't have a problem with the yogurt consistency being too watery, it was nice and creamy and well flavored . Favorite flavors were mango and honeydew, which tastes like a melona bar. Lots of fun gummies to choose from as well as sauces. Shoutout to Joy who was helpful and friendly, she really made our experience enjoyable. Super bummed about the lack of sample cups but I believe it's a corporate wide policy and not just one for individual stores. read more

I'm incredibly disappointed with Yogurtland's lack of communication and professionalism. Our organization, had a fundraiser confirmed for today -- complete with email correspondence and official flyers provided by Yogurtland THEMSELVES. Yet when we called the store to coordinate, the employees were completely unaware that any fundraiser was even happening. This is not just a minor mix-up -- it's embarrassing and disrespectful. Our team has put in time and effort to promote this event to our supporters, only to be met with confusion and a total lack of preparation on Yogurtland's end. If you're a student group or organization looking to partner for a fundraiser, I'd strongly recommend reconsidering. A company that can't even communicate with its own staff shouldn't be advertising community engagement. Do better, Yogurtland. read more

During this time of Covid you are provided a glove along with the cup to dispense your own yogurt. They will serve you the toppings. I don't come in often enough to know what I'm missing. Since I'm sure sampling is out of the question, I took the opportunity to fill my cup with the various flavors that appealed to me. There were some yummy ones in there and some not that great. I think the flavors I didn't like had a dietary restriction, maybe sugar-free. Wish I took a photo of the flavors to remember what not to get next time. I am extremely dissapointed in this yogurtland and their unprofessionalism. I've never worked with such a careless company and would never recommend anyone to try and do so. I run a club at CSULB and our largest and most important fundraiser is always in the Spring. After much deliberation, our club decided to hold our fundraiser on 4/15 at this location. Setting up our event was simple as we received various confirmation emails including one with an attached flyer and reminders of our event the night before. We worked very hard to promote this event and were confident we would have a successful fundraiser. When students started to show up this afternoon, we were shocked to hear store personnel knew nothing about the event and would not honor the previous commitment to hold our fundraiser. To better understand the situation, I immediately drove to the store location and was shocked when I confirmed no one at store level was aware of the event. We immediately asked to speak to the owner or manager but neither was available. We were not able to get in contact with the owner, after countless calls from the staff nor were they able to give us anyones contact information for us to reach out directly. The women that were working were not very helpful or showed any interest in helping us out either. One of them even had her young daughter behind the counter with her as well as there were people who appeared as customers that were going behind the counter and talking with employees. Without any support from Yogurtland we had no choice but to immediately cancel our event after we already brought a good amount of business to the store in hopes of supporting our club. Without a Spring fundraiser, we are not able to purchase necessary items for upcoming club events. We are truly disappointed with how we were treated today. The store was not interested in helping us out at all after spending our whole day there trying to resolve this issue. As well as the owner never called us back and had no intention of helping us out showing extreme unprofessionalism from his side. I can only assume that the store did not care about our event. We worked so hard to promote the fundraiser and now have nothing to show for it. Since final exams begin in a couple of weeks, it is unlikely we can reschedule this event.
