We've yelped this spot and it was a 4 star restaurant. I have to say, I've ate at several sushi places and by far Yoi Tomo Sushi is my number one spot here in Boise. It's an all you can eat sushi place but the sashimi here is very fresh. I like that the staff here especially our server Kaitlyn because she was very friendly and always comes and check on us. Management Jocelyn comes and greet most of the table and introduce herself and if there's anything she can be of help to let her know. As we walk into the restaurant, we get greeted by friendly hosts at the door. Being new to the restaurant, we were recommended by our server Kaitlyn the all you can eat and it was well worth the price. We had unlimited food sushi and sashimi and made our moneys worth because it was delicious. We had so many sushi rolls that were all delicious and amazing. Our party was pretty big but both Kaitlyn and Jocelyn made sure food was constantly coming out where there were no waiting time for food and our drinks are filled without having to be asked. 5 star for food quality and quantity as well as 5 star stellar service provided by Kaitlyn and Jocelyn and the warm greetings as we come in and leave. Worst Business Owner EVER named Kenny. Went to dinner with friends the waitress charged both tabs on one card and then told us they could not fix it. I called the owner and he would not fix it either. He did not apologize, or even try to take any ownership that one card was double charged. He CALLED THE POLICE, they came and thought this was very ridiculous. The waitress was crying. The police made him void it out and do it right. He still charged my friend the standard 18% gratuity but I refused to pay that... this process took two hours and wasted our local police officers resources this all adds up to an IDIOT OWNER KENNY. Do not support this crook, Boise has many more sushi restaurants that appreciate your business and make much better sushi on top of it. Try I O U Sushi, they have a better all you can eat menu and pricing, they do not charge you extra if you leave just one piece on your plate. read more

Thought I would try the place because it was right around the corner from my favorite sushi place. (Happy Fish) The people were friendly but the service was minimal. The food was ok I guess. I mean I didn't get sick or anything. The rolls seemed bland, except the all fried roll I had. Which how could it be bland when it is all fried? My tuna nigiri smelled more fishy than usual. A sign that the fish was not very fresh. There was beer and sake, but I prefer Vodka so that was a minus. Atmosphere was stale. All in all I will be sticking with my usual favorite when in downtown. First, I would like to brag about our server, Ava, who went above and beyond for us. She is like a bubble of happy. She gave us awesome recommendations and made sure to triple check the ingredients when requested. She is AWESOME. The variety of sushi is insane, and if you come hungry, you definitely get your moneys worth. Very busy place! It felt a little bit like we were packed sardines, but I say that its well worth it. Just because you can make rice and roll stuff up in it does not mean you qualify as a sushi chef. The sushi rice was way too sweet and vinegary. The fish was warm and gooey. I am surprised nobody got sick. I looked into the kitchen and took a picture as we left. It was disgusting and the owner put cameras all over inside where he/she could watch the workers. Looked really creepy. Makes me miss Shige and Zuttos. I guess "Authentic" is dead in downtown Boise. read more

Every time I'm there, it's either full or close to it, and yet they keep churning out the DELICIOUS food with VERY little delay (no mistakes that I've ever seen). This place is excellent. Took family of 5 for the all you can eat sushi. We checked-in online and didnt have long to wait once we arrived. The staff were friendly and efficient.
