This is without a doubt the worst tasting buffet I have ever been to. Usually you can find a handful of things you like but only 2 things were tolerable in my opinion (my wife agreed), even the desserts were terrible. There were plenty of offerings, some of it even looks good, but one bite and you will see that looks can be deceiving. This is may not be true for everyone, some people really like the food here based on different reviews. As for my family and I, we will never return to this establishment. Saw this place pop up a few years ago. I had high hopes that one day we would get a decent sushi buffet like some of the ones in slightly larger cities that I have had the privilege of going to, but not so here, pretty much the same run of the mill Chinese buffet with the same mediocre dry rice sushi and all the other usual stuff you will find on the majority of Chinese buffets in the Louisville area. I would pay 25 to 30 dollars to go to a decent buffet in this town if one existed, but apparently I am only one of a few. I guess I will stick to the regular good Japanese inspired sushi bars. Lets see, the place is clean and nice sized. Waitress was very attentive, almost being over attentive. The food was good. Nothing that really jumped up and said wow. The egg rolls were good and the frog legs. The crab Rangoon filling was good but the wrapper wasn't cooked right, tasted almost stale. The selection was vast but my wife and i didn't think the flavors were all that good. We were there between 5:20 and 6:15 on a Saturday, and didn't find it as good or any better than any other Chinese buffet. The service was pretty mediocre and the cups weren't clean at all. Multiple workers walking around without a face mask disregarding the mask mandate. The guy at the desk didn't even recommend that the people coming in put on a mask (coughing severely). The food on the other hand was incredibly DISGUSTING seemed like it was recooked from yesterday and just tossed in the pans. Initially, The guy told us he'd make any sushi that wasn't out already but as soon as we entered and got seated he switched up. They're easily the best Chinese buffet in town. It's a buffet so you basically know what you're getting into beforehand. It's obviously not fine dining. The food is consistently kept hot and fresh, and there's an insane amount of options available. The sushi buffet is top quality as well, especially for it being added onto an already massive buffet of other foods. It's become my go-to place if I just want to eat a bit of everything and fill that craving for Chinese food, without paying $20+ for takeout. Speaking of takeout, their takeout option is well worth it. For about $9 you can fill a Styrofoam takeout box with a fair amount of food, however if you've got the time you could just pay the $10 for the buffet and not restrict yourself to the takeout box. read more

Came here Sunday with my family. My parents love buffets and they enjoy Yoki's seafood options better than any other buffet in Louisville. The restaurant was clean and spacious with booth options. Our server was attentive with our refills. We came early so everything was fresh and hot. The desserts are what you commonly see at other buffets. All in all it does the job! read more

You guys, Yoki Buffet is great! B and I pass by this spot all the time on our way to the movies, but we've never stopped in. It has been years since we've been to an Asian buffet, so recently we decided to check it out, and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere of this spot is like most other Asian buffets I have been into, it's large with several buffet stations throughout. We were greeted with the familiar smell of the buffet, and then I really got excited to check it out. We were promptly seated and our drink orders were taken, and we were directed to dig into the buffet. Yoki Buffet boasts tons of dishes. They have the usual stuff, with some dishes I haven't seen many places before as well. And they have a hibachi, sushi bar, desserts bar, salad bar, and scoop it yourself ice cream. I started with a plate of the regular buffet stuff, and everything I tried was great. The only item I didn't love were some dumplings I tried, but that was due to my personal taste for the filling, not the dish itself. I really enjoyed everything else. I then decided to branch out and try some sushi. I've gotta tell you, I was a little weary of the sushi. You never know with a buffet, but I was watching them make it fresh while we were there, so I figured I'd give it a shot. And it was great! Not the best sushi I've ever had, but I was really surprised by how good it was coming from a buffet. I ended my meal with a few desserts from the dessert bar and some ice cream. I have to say the desserts were my least favorite part of my meal. It was obvious that they were pre-packaged and stale. The ice cream was great though. (I just made sure to scoop from a new container that hadn't been used (mint chocolate chip), since it's scoop it yourself I didn't want to end up with something other people's hands had been in.) The prices were great! I also noticed on our visit that they offer carry-out as well, where you can pay based on the weight of what you take from the buffet. So, if you want to try this spot, but don't want to eat in, that's an option as well. If you're in the mood for an Asian buffet, or if you're indecisive and want to go somewhere with lots of options, I think Yoki Buffet is a great choice! read more

My family loves to go to buffet, but this one gave us a bad experience. Waitress kept rushing us. Barely any food was made. (We came at 9:00pm and the restaurant closes 10:30) it was 9:30 and they started sweeping and cleaning the place. All sudden we smelled a strong bleach odor in the air. As we are eating, it was hard to breathe. Made my family uncomfortable as we are trying to enjoy our meal. Then the waitress kept rushing us out when they don't close till 10:30. When my mother made a complaint to the lady up front desk, she was eating and unresponsive to the situation. Only gave it two stars cause its a bit cleaner then the other buffets around town. Going into Yoki I set my expectations low, as you can never be too confident with a buffet. However, Yoki failed to meet even the lowest of bars that I had set. The restaurant smelled of rank seafood and not a single dish was what I would describe as "good". This is the 3rd time we ate here, and I will never make another food choice on an empty stomach. We're not buffet fan, but the Resturant choices in Louisville is not so colorful. There's more fast food chain than any other city, so that why we went with is place out of desperation after a long work day. My concern for Yoki Buffet is the meats ingredient. It taste and smell like they're using rotten meats or heavily treated meats to flip a profit. This by far is the only Asian buffet I found that is decent in price and excellent in food choices. The greeters could be a little bit more friendlier but the other staff serve decent customer service. As my friend and I were sitting there trying to ingest luke warm, bland "food", we watched two other couples come in, tour the offerings and leave; wish we'd done the same. I go here about once a month. It is good food--they have basic sushi, which is often why I go there. Everything else is typical Chinese buffet fare. The servers are nice and quick to respond to requests. It's not fine dining, but it's a great lunch. read more

Dumplings were equally disappointing and also tasted like pre-made frozen an awful... This is more than likely the nicest Chinese buffet in Louisville. It's new, it's "fancy" looking, and it has all the Chinese buffet staples, with some neat extras thrown in. I've heard a few people say that the sushi here isn't as good as what you can get at Kroger, and I agree. BUT at Kroger you aren't getting all the sushi you want, along with massive amounts of other foods. Compared to typical buffet sushi this stuff is good! Plus they have sashimi (raw fish) which is a really nice touch. I am happy to report I ate tons of it, along with raw oysters and didn't get sick. I can't lie, I'm always skeptical. Next to the Mongolian grill is a station where you can get noodle soup made! I thought this was a unique offering, and it was actually pretty tasty soup. My biggest complaint with the buffet is that there were no crab legs when we went! We came on a Sunday craving crab legs, and I thought surely since it was the weekend they would have some but NO! I was super disappointed. So this was definitely an above average Chinese buffet, but don't go banking on eating something specific, because it might not be there! read more
