Nice little spot, me and my BF enjoyed our time. Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen: 7/10 I really enjoyed the noodles and pork. I didn't really enjoy the broth, it had a slight bitterness I didn't like and it was also very spicy which kinda overpowered the flavor. I added some soy sauce which made it taste better to me. House Special Chow Mein: 9/10 Me and my BF really enjoyed this. Noodles and protein were really good, only downside is it gets very oily near the bottom. I would get this next time! Sweet Ice Tea: 6/10 Tasted like the Chinese bottled sweet ice tea which I'm not a fan of because it has a hint of sourness. My BF really liked it though. I only got it because they didn't have Dr. Pepper, Coke, or Sprite. Service: 10/10 We came at 7pm on Sunday and were seated and served promptly. Staff was friendly, our server gave me a free drink for my birthday even though it was last week. If you come on your actual birthday, you can get a free entree! I really had high hopes for this place but will not be going back. The food is mediocre we ordered two different ramens, the coconut shrimp, and crab Rangoon. It just did not taste fresh and the quality of the food was not there. The scallions tasted like they were dry and old. The water served tasted like gutter water. When we were sat down at the table, it heavily smelled like Clorox bleach wipes. I cannot recommend eating here. When my husband asked how it was, my response was, "It was bad and I'm never going back." read more

A few weeks ago, we tried to get a table. A staff member approached us and let us know it would be a 20 minute wait. The same staff member proceeded to seat 2 tables who arrived after us before coming up to us again and asking how many people were in our party. I pointed out that we were there before the other two tables who had just been seated and the staff member gave a slight nod of acknowledgement (no apology) and let us know it would be another 30 mins. We decided to leave at this point because we had already been waiting 30 mins. The food looked delicious so we decided to get carry out another time. We didn't experience any difficulties with the carry out, but the ramen was incredibly mid. I don't think it tasted that wonderful for the price. We also tried the buns and they were greasy and hollow on the inside (minimal filling). Overall- very poor service, very mid food. read more

A couple of friends, my husband, and I tried this place after going to an art show in the area. We were all excited to try it! To start, we ordered the edamame. I asked for a bowl to out the shells in, and they told me to just use my plate. We got the pork soup dumplings and the pan fried pork buns to start. The soup dumplings were good but did sort of fall apart. I got the chicken chow mein. The chicken was dry and the noodles were a little chewy. My husband got the spicy tonkotsu ramen and my friends both got the tankards ramen. They all said it was good. The building is super adorable with really cute stained glass windows and gorgeous mountain views. They had a large menu with lots of different options. I'm curious to try the Chinese ramen. read more

This is a solid ramen spot. The noodles are hand made fresh everyday and if you come at the right time you can even see the chefs making the wire noodles which is a fun experience! The ramen is fabulous so are other menu items like the scallion pancakes soup dumplings and cream cheese wontons. The service is fast and friendly and the restaurant is clean and cozy. read more

Delicious! I love their spicy tonkotsu ramen--so rich and full of flavor. I also ordered the chicken katsu, which was crunchy and really satisfying. I've tried the fried calamari in the past and wasn't impressed; it was a bit overcooked and burnt. The restaurant itself is very clean and nicely decorated, though the main entrance door is a little awkward. Service is solid--staff are friendly and efficient. Overall, I find it peaceful eating here and really enjoy the vibe. Looking forward to trying more items on the menu! read more

Stopped by Oishi to pickup a to-go order and honestly had no idea this location existed! It's tucked into the east bench of South Salt Lake, and the building and interior are stunning. Parking was a bit difficult, but luckily I was in and out. When I got our ramen to my destination, it was still hot and fresh, and my friends loved theirs! I ordered the kimchi ramen and it was super spicy, almost too spicy for me to eat. Next time, I'll probably opt for another kind and spice it to my liking with chili oil. read more

Fast, clean and delicious... can you really ask for anything more? There arent many places in the state where you can get good ramen and personally this is the number 1 place and what we recommend to everyone. The service is incredibly fast, especially with it being hand pulled. If we were a little closer we would go much much more often. Go and you'll thank yourself later. read more

This was our first time dining here, we called ahead notifying we had E scooters and wanted to know if outside seating was accommodating e-scooter riders who were looking to dine for Mother's Day! It in fact was and the food got out to us super fast and the flavor pallets were so refined! We decided to get the Chinese noodle Beef Brisket; the tiny pieces of meat were so tender and flavored elegantly! The noodles, perfect softness to each bite! Now we decided to share this bowl and I can say the portion sizing is definitely enough to feed two people for a singular bowl! We had to take the rest home because of how much it was!! We also ordered the Soup dumplings which were TO DIE FOR! They came with a side of sauce to mix or dip the dumplings in and the dumplings were piping hot and delectable!! We finished off our meal with the chocolate Mousse cake! Let me tell you, the nice chocolatey finish to the end of the meal was the icing on the cake!! (Literally because this mousse was a perfect chocolate finish!) The servers were ontop of it! Checking in every now and then, not too invasive that we couldn't eat and not too distant that we felt it was like a self service perfect dining experience! The outside patio was in great shape, the ambiance of the patio was so cute! The cherry blossoms around the rim and the weather was just right for outside dining! I stopped by the new restaurant tonight and had such an amazing dinner! Our order was Crab Rangoons, Brussel Sprouts, Creamy chicken ramen and the tonkotsu ramen. The noodles were phenomenal, personally they were the star of the show for me along with the broth and egg being fantastic. Really good ramen all around. The food came out quickly and hot. We went to the location on 1300 south and 2100 east. It was amazing! It is clean and inviting, and the food is amazing. The service was very quick, respectful and caring. Excited to try Oishi Ramen's new spot on 1300 S and 2100 E (the University location), and it did not disappoint! This feels like a fresh, welcoming addition to the area with that authentic ramen vibe. I ordered the Kimchi Ramen and absolutely loved it--the broth was rich and flavorful with a perfect spicy kick from the kimchi, the noodles had great texture (you can tell they're hand-pulled), and the toppings were generous. It was way more food than I expected--huge portion that left me happily stuffed! I also got the curry plate to go, which I took home for later, and I'm already looking forward to digging into it. The menu has so many tempting options--Japanese ramen, Chinese noodles, rice bowls, and more--that I know I'll be back soon to try something new. I visited during a busy dinner time for takeout. After ordering Beef Brisket Ramen with Sauce, I waited 40 minutes to pick up my food. The noodles were severely undercooked. They had the texture of raw flour dough and were inedible. This is unacceptable for any restaurant. I am not sure how their food would taste if I visited in not so much busy time, but the food I tasted tonight is one of the worst nightmare foods I have eaten these days. read more

Dangerous food practices. Someone with celiac was in our group and was given regular noodles, but told several times that they were rice noodles. Our friend will now have to suffer through the symptoms for the next week because this restaurant isn't careful. Even when they brought the rice noodles, there were regular noodles mixed in, showing that all the noodles are cooked together or in the same water. Also, timing of the food was abysmal--it took well over an hour for all of our group to receive our ramen bowls. 2 people received theirs after about 30 min and the rest of us waited another 30+ min. Really terrible experience. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. read more

MAJOR HEALTH RISK You guys should not come here, they gave the wrong noodles to my friend who has celiacs, and it appeared that they cross contaminated noodles. They brought us the wrong food, it took forever and everything came out at different times. None of the employees understood how they messed up and they were unapologetic.
